I love Kansas City! I was there with my friends last year. Awesome place. It's almost like a low key big city (compared to where I'm from). Joe's BBQ was insane. The ribs where out of this world. Lots of great places in the Power & Light district also. Great to see a video from somewhere I've been lol.
Wolter's World is in my town! Great list, glad you distinguished between KCMO and KCK! Q39 and Joe's are the most popular right now, but don't count out those random little holes in the wall you've never heard of. It's hard to find bad barbecue here. Lots of good authentic Mexican on Southwest Boulevard too (if you're enjoying Boulevard beer, be sure and try to do a tour of the brewery while you're in that part of town). Enjoy KC!

You nailed it! Great video. I would also add the major league sport team venues to the list. Kauffman Stadium (KC Royals) is such a relaxing venue to take in a MLB baseball game. For soccer fans, a Sporting Kansas City match at Childern's Marcy Park is a high octane experience. But back to BBQ, tailgating at Arrowhead (KC Chiefs), there is BBQ everywhere. Some people go to the game just to tailgate. So instead of going into the stadium to watch the football game, they sit in the parking lot, eat BBQ, and listen to the game.
So excited to see you came to Kansas City! As a KCMO native it's great to see more travellers coming to Kansas City! Great review being from the area. You didn't make it the original well not original but the older strouds which is awesome, how about them sticky buns art strouds. You hit the right places on the BBQ but so many places to hit. and LAMARS is legit. Glad you came to town.
If you move here, the best food for the day to day is the Mexican, go over to the Westside and go to Rico's or Tacos El Gallo, hit northeast and you got San Antonio's, to the south you got El Torito, and in midtown there is no food better at 1 a.m. than Pancho's. The KCK side has almost even more options, but for an ol reliable nothing sits warmer in your stomach on a winter's night like a Chicharron Verde and a Chile Rellenos from burritos to go. (For a slightly higher price point, there's also some great Vietnamese and Jamaican joints, Awaze and Vietnam Cafe are personal favorites, and if you're treating yourself or you're on a date, Garozzo's in Columbus Park always makes for a really warm cozy evening. Town n Topic is a rip off.)

If you're here in KC go to Danny Edward's BLVD BBQ. If you think the Z man from Joe's is good, try the Big D sandwich at Danny Edward's, you'll thank me. 😁
Almost every place has both types of sauce. But if you want one of the hotter sauces try Gates or Little BBQ joint off 24highway they got some sauces that are really spicy.

yes to all of them. that is what surprised me was just how many great things there were in KC. It really is an underrated city.
Now, I know where to go eat 😋😋 thanks for sharing👍
The strouds I went to was more out by the airport/metro north and was in an old log cabin. Not sure if it is still around (havent been since the 80s) but that the one I remember. Excellent Fried Chicken.
It's still there! Best EVER
@@billtaylor292 Yeah, I remember I used to look forward to going there, due for another trip to KC once things settle down. Ha, I remember they used to wear these shirts that read "We choke our own chickens!", made me laugh as a kid.
“Oh, we do quails eggs barbecue” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don Antonio's Carnicería Y Taqueria
Best Mexican in Kansas city Kansas, it's a hole in the wall but it's cheap and amazing
Joe's reminds me of the Eat at Joe's signs in the Bugs Bunny cartoons
BTW...you CANNOT go to Strouds and not have their homemade cinnamon rolls with the chicken! It’s the best thing they have. It’s way better than having chicken n waffles.
Great video! You should do more of these.👍
If you're here in KC go to Danny Edward's BLVD BBQ. If you think the Z man from Joe's is good, try the Big D sandwich at Danny Edward's, you'll thank me. 😁
I recommend the wild boar ragu at JJ's when you're not in the mood for BBQ.
thanks!
I miss KC BBQ!
I really enjoyed it. ☺️
no BBQ list can be a good list without LC's being mentioned
I live a block away from Joe's 😂
looks amazing! but is the sauce sweet or spicy? growing up in the buffalo hot sauce region i prefer spicy over sweet.🍻
Every barbecue place has a sweet,a spicy and a sweet and spicy sauce.
We do lean heavy on the sweet/brown sugar sauces but you can Definitely find spicy!
Almost every place has both types of sauce. But if you want one of the hotter sauces try Gates or Little BBQ joint off 24highway they got some sauces that are really spicy.
Go to Char Bar next time you’re in KC!!
I don’t know how you post videos of city’s at the same time I want to go there!
I just try to help ;)
Lc bbq is the best place to get some good eats
