You've got it singing and chimey & woody as well (so hard to describe sound) ... Incredible Amp. I preferred the 50w over my 20th Anniv. Ecstasy...i had to order it🤪

@@MorGuitarz Wow! I’d been using a Shiva for years & got the 50 watt XTC primarily to downsize, but I absolutely love it and am now an XTC fan … I’d wondered about its big brother, in fact. Thanks for listening & for the kind words!

How does the voodoo lab control switcher work with this amp? Is there an instructional you found to program it correctly? Thanks!

Once it’s set up properly, the Control Switcher works perfectly with the Bogner. In fact, since you can store program changes, it turns the 3534 effectively into a 5 channel amp: clean, crunch, crunch + boost, overdrive, and overdrive + boost. Plus it handles CC messages that let me toggle the boost on and off within a single program (that is, without having to change patches) for the overdrive channels.
The hard part for me was figuring out how to get my Boss MS-3 switcher to send the right messages to the Voodoo Lab Control Switcher. I did end up calling Voodoo Lab’s service line. I got a really helpful and knowledgeable dude on the phone who was willing to stay on the line in real time whilst we set up my system. And it took honestly less than half an hour. If you’re using another midi controller other than the MS-3, it might be even easier. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But overall, I am extremely happy with this rig!

Of course, my situation is slightly further complicated by the fact that I’m also using the Boss MS-3’s MIDI out to control the Wampler Pantheon Deluxe overdrive at the same time, so there is that.

Awesome, that’s what I was hoping you were going to say (about the 5 channels)! What cables did you need to go from the control switcher to the amp? I’d assume you were sending CC signals and not PC for midi to the control switcher?
Awesome rig, thank you for the info! Mine should deliver today, so looking to do this exact same thing!

@@troyreilly7459 Here’s where I got the special cable to connect the Switcher to the Bogner: btpa.com/mult-3534-xx
Cool thing (for me, anyway) is that the cable uses the Switcher’s DIN out instead of the MIDI out, so I can use the Switcher’s MIDI out to control my Wampler pedal at the same time.

@@troyreilly7459 Also, I’m sending both CC and PC messages from my MS-3 to the Control Switcher. PC so that I can program which amp channel (and boost status) comes active when I call up a given patch on the MS-3, and CC messages to toggle the boost on/off within a single patch. It’s a bit more complicated to set up that way, but once you dial in one patch, it’s a snap to do more patches.
