Great demo. I just bought one of these for myself today with a helios 4x12. I'm really excited. I want it more for the mid-gain sounds and dynamics, but it seems like an all around perfect 10.
Wow great sounding amp! That "split coil" sound on the Les Paul? Not the standard pickup configuration I take it? But man with that funky rythym really cool. And your song at 13:00 - holy cow!! Such a joy to see you let loose.
Thank you so much for this amazing review - I'm tempted to go for this or the BE-50 but I love the range of this! I used to own the 3534 and thought it could benefit from a higher headroom/wattage! 50watts is perfect for gigs
@@JefferyJMarshall Can you possibly tell the the length of the footswitch? I have one coming Monday (thanks in large part to this demo) and I need to make room on my board. Thank you! ...and hit Reinhold up for a commision! 😁
@@mrcali68hey congrats! It’s a smaller footswitch something like 10”x1” and the cable is 25’. I’m not home right now so I’m estimating. Let know your thoughts on the amp!! 🍻
It can depends on how you set it. It does have a gain and master volume so it is possible to get some light breakup but with the added headroom it is cleaner imo
Had mine for about 1 month- it is my favorite amp! This is among a Friedman Twin Sister, Mesa Boogie Mark VII and Marshall SV20. Going to sell the Marshall now and either the twin sister or the Mesa Boogie since I enjoy the Bogner that much more.
Thanks for the video Jeffrey!! I heard the 35w version had some FX loop issues, a bit noisy. The 50W apparently fixed that. Any toughts on this matter?
Sounds Beautiful... So many nuances when it's not drowned in too much gain, which you've captured IMO Great overview... I just ordered one and should gig it right away
@JefferyJMarshall Holy crap... Truly in love with it! I like it better than my 20th Anniv. Ecstasy and 101b I used to own. This DEFINITELY will be my gigging workhorse... Next gig in Sept though, but it will let me get used to it. Your vid kicks ass though...(say no to nonstop-chugging vids😅) I'll let you know how she was live. I'll have it at least 50% volume ... Recent amps I've giggled though: Friedman Wildwood Smallbox, Friedman Runt 50, Bogner Goldfinger SL, Soldano Astro, Friedman Twin Sister, Synergy 50w w/Soldano & Friedman modules, Splawn... Can't remember which model... Maybe Supersport? Bogner Shiva 20th... Maybe that's it
Random question but do you find that your Dimension chorus drops the volume output a bit too much? I just got one and like my CE5 and Eventide Tricerachorus, the volume output is dropping in a way that I don't remember chorus units doing in the past and I don't know if it's just my setups that I'm trying it out with or what... or if I'm just not remembering since I've been either using my fractal stuff's chorus or using the chorus on my line 6 stomp HX.
Great question! It indeed does but the one I was using is in the hxfx not the actual pedal. The hxfx allows you to compensate for any volume dips which is cool.
@@JefferyJMarshall Yeah that's what I really like about my Stomp HX and FM3. I've been using the stomp HX forever as an effects processor because it's so tiny but crazy powerful for the size and price. Yeah my FM3 can do a lot more but it's 3x as big.
@@JefferyJMarshall I've used the boutique pedals and as of today, have sold all of them and just using the stomp HX. Yes the reverb in the Strymon blue sky is incredible but for rock music, I don't need all the big synth-y sparkle and shimmer stuff that makes the blue sky so desirable. I don't need the fancy Strymon Dig V2 delay modes... just something simple. Honestly for delay/reverb, the NUX Atlantic is a VERY good pedal and takes up no space and is dirt cheap. I absolutely love it. Chorus has been tricky. The dimension Waza is great but the volume drop sucks and it will be going back to Amazon in a couple days. I hate it because I LOVE the sound of it so much but the volume drop is unacceptable for my use and that's over $200 back in my pocket. The UA ox stomp though has seriously wowd me and is staying because as much as I like the convenience and features of my Captor X and the unmatched routing options and features of the Waza TAE, the feel and the tone of the OX Stomp is on a different level. It's got that mic'd up cab sound I could never get. The other boutique pedal I can't get rid of is my jackson audio golden boy. It's so good. Crazy flexible, 2 drives, each drive can use one of 4 different types and midi controllable.
@@FastRedPonyCar Ya I use the HX mostly for delay, reverb and modulations. I've recently been using the Browne Protein for my drives and I love the MXR phaser so those are on the board but HX handles the rest. Prob rile up the corkstiffers out there but who cares lol
Every Bogner design is magic. Reinhold is a master designer and creator - exalted and great - that can never be questioned. Of course, we all have our eccentricities and subjective desires and preferences. My Twin-Jet Uberschall is simply amazing and cannot be equaled for it's versatility and dimension and flexibility in volume sensitivity. Of course the speaker load is extremely important as is the way one drives the input. I heard that STP. I agree with your love of Bogner. :-)

I must say, one of the best demo of this amp !
Cool! I may do another with the phone Camera In a different spot.

Thanx homie! Ya did coil splits on the pickups. Not 💯 a strat but pretty close…
nice playing-i think this is the 35 watt though.
Thanx! This a converted 35w to 50w by Rheinhold. It has the old grill but I had him put on the white nobs 😁
Thanks for sharing Jeff, What an amp. Love that 50watt version.
Thanx Brad! Ya what a killer amp!!
Killer sounds!

Ya it’s a killer!
Blue Channel sounds KILLER! More than enough gain especially with the Boost On. Good to see ya bro. Sounding & playing great, Happy New Year too!!
Ya I could just use the blue channel and be totally cool. You’d like this and Rand! Right up your alley! Happy New Year bro, come to Nashville!!
I like it
13:45 amazing song at the end

How is the effects loop? Were you using it? Or going straight in?
I wasn’t using it here but I have tried it and there was no issues
@@JefferyJMarshall you really got it dialed in. It sounds amazing.
@@highdb1oh right on thanx. Actually difficult to get a bad tone out of this amp!
I do love how Bogner blends their channels and boosts. My Shiva 20th is like that too. Great designs.

I never really had any issues with that myself. This one works great
35 watt I had was the noisiest amp I ever owned
Interesting. Was it the fx loop? I’ve heard people talking about that before. I personally didn’t have any issue but I’ve seen others mention it
@@JefferyJMarshall The Loop was noisy the red channel was just terribly noisy... I returned it
Great playing man! Enjoyable listening to you play.
I'm thinking between this Bogner and a Friedman BE as my next amp.
Much appreciated!
how is the modifed effects loop on the 50w?…. i have the 35w older version it was so noisy and barely usable…. otherwise the tone is amazing…
It seems to work great although I don’t use it much to be honest
I love your playing and learn your online courses as well. I got the Ecstasy 50w love it!
Sick! Congrats and thanx for the support!
Les Pauls with coil-splitting are not pure and should not exist. Thats why God made Strats and Teles 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤓😂😂😂😂
I hear ya! I hate strats though. Sold everyone I've owned and don't like single coils. Lol.

No problem with the efx loop on this one!
mine is 3534 35w and it does strange things, it has unpleasant noise in the fx loop and sometimes it just changes channels.
