Definitely! I was disappointed when they announced that the features won't come to S22, but got surprised today with a new update adding all the features. A very good decision by Samsung, I mean S22, S23 and S24 are only two years apart, and honestly pretty much the same, tech-wise.
I got a 23 ultra and was offered the AI upgrade roughly a month before the 24 launched in 🇨🇦... I was keenly aware because I got a 24 plus for my wife. No matter which Flagship Samsung you get, they're usually better than any other phone on the market. AI is awesome and extremely helpful.
But all these AI features will be paid (have to pay money to use certain features/tools) by the end of this year so it's not that big of a deal... Sad but true.

My Fold5 just got the Galaxy AI update. Pretty pointless for me. Thanks for explaining how to disable that Corcle to Search feature. I just kept searching for "AI" in my settings and couldn't find anything. When I need to do a Google search, I rarely have a photo to use, so this was absolutely stupid to me. And it was being shoved in my face way too hard! If can see many of the Galaxy AI features useful, but none of them are for me, so I just want it all disabled. Especially if it's running in the background and consuming battery. (Don't know what is and isn't with Galaxy AI).
not really! i have the S23 and Galaxy AI is just bs... and don't get me wrong, I'm a hard user, but this is nothing revolutionary and is actually quite weak, you hardly use anything other than circle to search... There are better things in One Ui 6.1 than Galaxy AI, but nothing revolutionary either

@MrMartellSincere S24 isn't bs at all, you'll get 7 Years of software update compared to just 4 on S22 and S23, you'll get much improved battery life compared to S22 due to better chipset and the Galaxy AI stuff is just bonus nothing crazy but nice to have features, if you need a phone S24 series is a great upgrade

i dont get why so many people love Samsung's garbage software overlay and bloat ware? Try Vanilla android and you will understand how over whelming Samsung's software is. Like damn the removed the hot spot quick launch bar feature from there phone like WTF. just stupid things, why do i need 2 voice assistant, why do i need 2 app stores? WHY!? #neverbuyasumsangphoneagain . Only if the EU forces them to make a customer able to uninstall all that garbage then i would buy because they do have good hardware unit then.
Dude, a lot of people will not know what you're talking about because they are average users. Most of these features are not from Samsung. Most of it is already baked into a Google pixel phone and it's just an offshoot of Google AI service.
No vanilla android is useless and just extremely limiting in terms of actual features and functionality, Samsung Notes, Routines, Internet and Calender are leagues better than Google's as they offer far more features, cross platform support with google and Microsoft accounts along with a lot of ecosystem advantage. I used a Pixel 7 before and it was just an iPhone with an android skin, where's all the features and customization gone? Switched to S21 Ultra and gosh life's better with Goodlock customization and so much more
What alternative does Google have for Samsung Notes? Keep is useless if you mainly take hand written notes, S Notes is feature packed to the brim. What alternative does Google offer for offline finding and smartTags? Samsung has an actual ecosystem while Google is slacking hard, Pixel Tab doesn't even have a dedicated Pen, Tab S8 utilizes S Pen insanely well and Samsung apps take full advantage of it.
I could double press volume down and open Wallet, double press volume up take Screenshot, long press power button to open Find my phone, tap the hole punch to open RUclips, do that on Vanilla Android natively lmao no where near the level of customization Samsung offers
Now do you get why? or should I tell you more cz I could go on, it's unbelievable how many people hate on samsung not even knowing the scope of what you can do with OneUI and samsung apps, you want vanilla software that's fine there's no reason to hate and spread stuff like never buy samsung that's utter bs
The update came through my s22 ultra today. I didn't know it was going to be such a large update. I was at work using network and hit the update. It took an hour using cellular service on 5g. I wish I had waited until I got home to use my wifi.
Samsung might lead the phone AI soon..good to see this in older phone as well.

You can also open your camera, and search whaterver the camera sees

I regret installing it, the battery is worse in a significant degree.

For me with the new update the battery got a bit better on my S23
With my z flip 5 I noticed that it got a little bit better
No issues with my s23
I agree. Cut my battery life down a noticeable amount
