I have the s20u s22u and s23 ultra I was never going to upgrade to the s24ultra no matter what because i feel the majority of the consumers dont upgrade every year ...but by supporting the old flagships samsung ensures thst the consumers will always go for the Samsung brand over others ....

I have an S23 and have personally tested some of the AI features, and they work very well. However, it's worth noting that in the real world, no one would likely notice the speed differences. Thank you for sharing❤❤
I don't think it's "curious" that the translation still works without the cloud since you literally downloaded a language pack which is installed on your phone, while the other features need the internet. I've the 23U and the only thing I'm missing from this new update is the new AOD. Also some goodlock apps haven't updated yet for me

The only complaint I have upgrading from s10 plus to the s24 ultra is lack of expandable storage and support for 32bit apps. There are a bunch of apps that I will never be able to use with my s24 ultra.

Hello, I would like to inquire about a feature in the Samsung S23 Ultra's photo editing software. When editing photos, I noticed that the option to move an image to another image by touching or outlining it is not available on the S23 Ultra but it is available on the S 24 On the S23 Ultra the only option is to delete the image or moving it around in the same picture I would like to know if there is a way to enable this feature or if I am missing something.

Don't know if anyone else has had this issue withe the OS6.1 but before going into settings, notifications, app notifications i have always been able to assign any notification sound ofy choosing to any app. Now that feature is no longer there. Thats one thing that set android apart from iPhone was customization. Any ideas? Thanks

I got my update to One UI 6.1 on my Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra this morning. But not yet on my T-Mobile S23 Ultra (but a BYOD phone). Is there a provider delay on these updates? Also, I have a 256 gb / 8 gb RAM device. Any reason it might be held back?
This confirms my assessment that AI was more marketing than a substantial upgrade, especially now that it's on last year's phone. The biggest feature the S24 brings is 7 years of OS upgrades, but that also might signal that Android upgrades will become substantially less significant moving forward. All of this tells me the industry is running out of ideas, which is a shame because I still have a ton.

It has the same RAM, disk space, and screen size as Samsung's flagship from 5 years ago. The most substantive change is the 120hz display, and that became passé years ago. Every year Samsung talks up the camera (which hardly changes) and gaming. There is nothing groundbreaking in the phone industry like there used to be 10 years ago. That CAN change, but only if there is a will on the industry's side.
Well the updates are doing wonders for the s24. I've had 2 updates in March and we're still getting another update in April. It's extended the battery life by like a good hour and half or two hours at least. The camera is getting better and the heating on the phone Is no where near where it started. S23 series won't be getting all those updates, and the s24 series gets them for an additional 3 years. Also, the AI-AOD feature is built into the s24 and exclusive. Also, they brought back QHD for the s24+ and made the base RAM 12 GB, so we've definitely seen a change

I hate the black and white notifications on aod. They were nicer with the colours. Yes, it's a big deal! Also hate the navigation bar. Tried goodlock and still trash. I preferred having absolutely nothing on the bottom of the screen. Who authorises this crap.. hopefully another update to sort it out. It's the little things that shouldn't be tinkered about with.

In a month, Samsung will reduce the price of the s24 Ultra, and give a better trade-in deal for the s23 Ultra. Last year I upgraded to the s23 Ultra for $425(with trade). I may do that again.

I have S23U. With the new UI 6.1 I'm so disappointed, especially AOD no useful anymore. No adjustable brightness, and because of this, I can not see anything under outside sunlight. It's very annoying. Plus, all of the notifications icons is same colour.

Hmmm, there are other reasons to get an S24 Ultra over an S23 Ultra. Lots of them involve the camera and updated features that aren't going back to S23 Ultra. But also, the display is marketedly better. That's not dissing the S23 Ultra. It's more than enough than anyone will ever need, but the partity in Galaxy AI doesn't make the S24 Ultra a bad phone
I'm more of the school of thought that it's a negative for the s24u because it's obvious that there are little to no improvements in processing power. I probably would have kept my s23u if not for the fact the corners and side rails had taken a fair bit of cosmetic damage, even though it had been in a case since purchase.
There are definitely improvements to processing power. Many updated camera features are evidence of that. What this shows me is that it doesn't require as much processing power as first thought

Processing on device only allows features that process on device anyway. A lot of features process in the cloud

I'm more of the school of thought that it's a negative for the s24u because it's obvious that there are little to no improvements in processing power.
I probably would have kept my s23u if not for the fact the corners and side rails had taken a fair bit of cosmetic damage, even though it had been in a case since purchase.
There are definitely improvements to processing power. Many updated camera features are evidence of that.
What this shows me is that it doesn't require as much processing power as first thought

For me the build quality and software updates are the best selling point.

Yeah, i have the S23 ultra. Im glad i did not get the 24 and its price. Aside from a brighter screen and camera. Im happy keeping thr s23. Thanks for the shared review. Very helpfull.👍
