Wow. Most videos jack their jaws and don't give you exactly what you need. You're straight to the point and a little bit cheeky, which I appreciate. Bravo. I'm not afraid that I will erase my main computers and this will help to resurrect my old computer to learn Linux. Also you gave an answer to the Windows catch 22 problems that I thought about for years, but never actually did anything about.

Nice, comprehensive video tutorial. I do enjoy your vids and have gotten nice bits of information from them due to how thorough you research and explain things. Good job.
My only complaint is that it's not pronounced "Ubuntu Matay", but "Ubuntu Mate". I get that the UK has it's own thing, but Matay is not correct. It is Mate (like you call your friend. Ay, mate?). I know in the UK you also call it a rooter, but the rest of the English-speaking world calls it a router (rowt-er). Isn't it fun to be able to have multiple pronunciations of the same word? I point these out so that people outside the UK use it properly. If I get a customer ask about a suggestion for a rooter, I refer them to a plumber, or maybe a landscaper.

Fair tutorial. The only thing I would do different, and I consider this essential, is before choosing install, click options and put a check next to secure boot support. If you don't do this, modern computers will require you to disable secure boot in the the bios. Checking before installation will alleviate that issue...

@@bytemypi2918 just a update.. it worked.. basically the story is I had an old laptop no HDD.. no power... So in the adventure of looking for power cord I ended up ordering two laptops of the same variety cuz it came with too power cords.. but only the laptops came in and only one had a hard drive which both were not supposed to have a hard drive so someone screwed up something and no one got back to me so they're mine now..
The one had Windows XP and it would belong to a server that was part of an emergency response system for a local government in Missouri....
But with that ventoy I finally got around it.. originally I was going to plug the hard drive to a SATA to USB... But they're older so they're not say that so I had to figure another way out while the other tool came in which is the IDE to USB thing....
Your video helped me not only reformat and partition the HDD inside it but also installed a 32-bit OS of Linux on it... I actually just installed the first 32-bit OS of Linux that I could find which was Kali... I only had about a couple hours when the idea occurred to me the time I had to go to bed...
But it worked... So now I just need to find other operating systems to place on them..
And so I'm thankful that I found your videos... Because now I got rid of the problem of there being Windows XP the password from a server of emergency response that wouldn't let me in and now I have full access to the machine...
The Kali 32-bit OS.. was mainly used to just get rid of the problem... Now I just need to find an OS put on each system and withventory I have the ability to have variety off of One USB...
So again thanks.. you've been a great help

@@TaureanRuler Ah secure boot. Yes, Ventoy added support for this, but its a bit hit and miss at the moment. If you're running Windows, odds are secure boot is already turned on in your computer's UEFI/BIOS. Its largely to prevent rootkits and malware infecting the Windows bootloader, so isn't really necessary for Linux. In fact it will actually prevent some non-Windows operating systems from even booting! For this reason, if you run into issues using Ventoy, you may need to turn it off while you're using it.

The setup process is a little different in (Ubuntu) Linux. First make sure you have your USB stick connected to the computer. Once you've downloaded the Linux version of Ventoy, right click on it and choose "Extract here". Enter the ventoy folder that gets extracted. Then right click on the ventoy subfolder within it and choose "Open in Terminal". Inside the Terminal window, type the following (the command is case sensitive):
      sudo ./VentoyGUI.x86_64
Press Enter and, when prompted, type in your account password to run the program as admin. That should open Ventoy2Disk and you can now install it to your USB stick. Hope that helps :)

I've used VENTOY a LOT- and they are GREAT....BUT--- I have recently discovered that if you use it over and over often-- it WILL begin to put out corrupted files and the software you install with it-- will have many issues!!! Best to change the USB after so many uses so that doesn't happen.. I was using a SCANDISK usb drive too- a GOOD QUALITY one- and I've had 30 distos on it and OFTEN changed them out... because i love playing with the different ones..... but as I said- after I used it - a LOT and often- I started having issues wiht NONE of the distros working correctly.. So- after so many usess-- CHANGE THE USB drive-- I don't know if that is fault of the VENTOY program itself or if the usb stick wears out... either way- CHANGE IT OUT after so long to AVOID corrupt programs and a LOT of headaches.

I don't believe Ventoy supports macOS, but I don't own a mac so unfortunately can't confirm this one way or the other.
If it doesn't work, one potential workaround may be to try setting up Ventoy inside a Linux virtual machine on your mac. If you fancy giving that a try, feel free to checkout my Virtualbox video:

      Hope that helps :)

So is this ventoy good to make a boot about windows 10, I had a crucial m.2 drive fail on me, It went on a brand new gigabyte H610i and after about 10 hours of using the M.2 on a new build thr drive went, kept going into repeat bios loop, So yeah i have had to get a kingston m.2 as the price is good for the 1000g, And kingston still a top brand for memory yeah?.
But yeah can i create a windows boot usb from this ventoy thing?.
Its not easy putting a PC together, its easy to fit the parts but keeping a stable system with windows is practically impossible, You do a windows update and get problems to keep your head stressed until the next updates...
Its always windows update that causes me problems, I don't see how windows 10 or 11 is so expensive, That is the ultimate power having the operating system on everyone's PCs, Why is it windows got that ability, lol?.
Yeah can anyone explain how i can do a boot able windows on a USB stick, i got a laptop i can use, Im wondering if i could use a samsung S6 lite tablet, lol?.
Still though i need a bootable windows usb, Can some one please help?.

In my recommended section was your video about Rescuezilla (ruclips.net/video/20WpVButTW8/видео.html) which sounds like a must-have in such a multi-boot utility. Thanks for the videos!

Yes, when you are preparing to install Ventoy onto the USB, there is an option in the ventoy installer menu called 'secure boot' checkmark it.

It's the worst piece of crap I have ever used, it's pure JUNK, incompatible with so many software. Can't even get memtest86 to work, it boots to a black screen, yes my motherboard is UEFI complaint, can only boot in legacy for memtest86 - YET when using memtest86 alone on a stick it boots in UEFI fine, it's GARBGAE, you are better off having individual USB sticks for every software you want to boot from, less headache. I am reminded each time why I should stay away from open source projects, if they cannot properly QA their software they should just give up, Ventoy is HYPE it does not do what it says it does, and it only works with a VERY LIMITED number of software, mainly OS installers.
