The first playthrough will be as Emily for me, but then I'll head through as Corvo. I'm so glad they upgraded his Blink to the version Daud has. It was so useful. And I'm glad possession is upgraded. Might be worthy of getting for a stealth playthrough now
Emily's "Domino" is just obscene. Link a few enemies together and one tranquilizer dart equals mass narcolepsy. I'm going to abuse the living shit out of that.
Finally, one of few people who are looking forward to use Domino. Most comments about Domino nowadays are basically ''OMG, Domino is so OP!'' or ''What the fuck was Arkane thinking with Domino?'' or whatever.
It does seem OP, but it looks like they've balanced it out between Emily and Corvo with potential upgrades to powers. I like the fact that Emily seems perfectly suited to all-out chaos or never being seen at ALL. The Mesmerize power seems damn near perfect for a low chaos playthrough.
I feel like Mesmerize, Domino, and Shadow Walk kind of make it too easy. Especially Shadow Walk...I mean, it's a stealth game; why have the convenient power of basic invisibility? But then again, I haven't actually tried it out so lol
I put a hundred hours into the first game. I really, really hope that the sequel has the same replayability. With two different characters with entirely different powers, it should give me a ton of hours.
khai minh tran it could also be seen as an improvement based on Corvo's gained experience, as Daud had his powers much longer than Corvo in the first game, it makes sense it could simply be the aged and experienced version of Blink
I love the way that Daud had his time stop on his blink in the dlc due to him already being given the mark for awhile, and now Corvo has developed it as well.
This game has improved from the first: jumping from host to host using possession, being able to take actions in a host's body, Corvo freezing time while using blink, man the game is improving so much. :D
That linking power still bothers me, seems to make the game way too easy! i want to play as Emily first, but i'm quite sure i'm gonna get to the selection screen and instinctively choose Corvo instead.
+Tony Cruez Dude, use the remaining weeks to play it. Literally my favorite game of all time. A real work of art even after 12 playthroughs and counting.
Tony Cruez well you can't really blame her. I mean a lot of the people she believed she could trust double crossed her. I'm sure if we were in her shoes, we'd want them all dead too lol. I love this game though, it's amazing!
Domino is not that effective in combat though, because you don't get the time to link ppl while they're attacking you. Bend time was always op, but these games are not aimed at being fair.
I love how the trailers are always like "Look at all the fun ways to kill people 8D" and the game is always like "You MURDERED THESE PEOPLE, YOU BASTARD!" Never trust a trailer
Kai Mango no it's not like this anymore you can kill some people and still have the good ending (in the first game you can kill only the targets and get the good ending too)
I wasn't refering about the ending. In the first game, killing specific people (like the targets) changes the way people behave around you, changes some of the things they say, some of the diary entries and speeches. It is of course more apparent, if you're losing Low Chaos, but in quite a few cases, killing results in the game more or less being like "WOW DUDE, NOT COOL" (such as not helping the uncle, attacking Slackjaw's Weepers, etc). Did you know that if you manage to escape the prison without killing someone, that the speech will say something along the lines of that you "disappeared" while killing at least on guard will call you out on how you brutally made you way out of prison? Stuff like that.
Eventually I’ll play it, since I have it installed. I just know that once I start playing it, I’m not putting it down. The clockwork mansion level is incredible.
Emily's powers seem more fun and Corvo seems more practical if that makes sense. Seems like the team did a good job balancing and complementing them while making them their own. I will definitely be playing as both, multiple times.
well its because corvos moves are more for using your brain while emily is more like, domino everyone and theyre dead, doppleganger kills people for you, mesmerise allows you to kill people and they wont do anything about it and far reach can pull people in for the kill while corvo has like one killing move which is whirlwind and blink seems like it only pushes people
I love how the story looks to at least somewhat involve Daud or his actions and it really involves Delila. It's cool to see that Dishonored 1's dlc's weren't just throw away content and instead it lead to another game.
PlasmaFrog Yeah, it also gave me like 3 themes with motion for the ps4, is awesome, was a cool surprise because i didnt notice it before, the first game plays really smoothly and is a lot of fun.
That is Awesome! I already Pre-ordered my copy I just can't wait to play it! And the First one was Definitely fun! Dishonored would be a pretty good movie.
Bąđ3ŕ zZ Corvo seems more practical though, thats how I see it, I don't need to take out whole rooms off people, with Corvo you can stop time and do whatever you want, or possess people to be sneaky, you could also mass murder everyone, Emily can summon a duplicate of herself and use domino o take a few people out at once
+Templarkiller Gaming exactly، although i wish they would make bending time more time when you use it and many things like carrying morethan 10 mana and health.
Both characters can be played stealthily or violently. It's fucking dumb to say that Emily is only viable for violent gameplay and at the same time say Corvo is more viable for stealth gameplay
Krisars I didn't say that, I said Emily is more suited for taking out a bunch of people at one time, which she is, and Corvo is more suited to avoiding the enemy altogether, which he is, sure Emily could go without ever touching an enemy but that isn't what her powers cater towards, you seem to have the idea that both of them are suited for whatever play style you would like and the only difference is their gender, you're wrong
They're still nice to have. Tbh I also did a playthrough with the only powers being used was blink, never dared to do one without any. Seems like fun though.
+Edward Tigersoul I also didn't use a lot on my first two playthroughs. But go see Volound or other youtubers who create a new art with how well they use all powers. And when I tried emulating them I was convinced all powers were carefully considered and not just there for filler. They even stuck a spring razor on a severed arm and threw it at two other guards using wind blast. That's how creative they get.
People here brought up something I was worried about after watching all these trailers. How will mana works in this new game? Will the mana consumption be smaller? I wish we could pull up these powers a little often without having to worry about the mana cost of it.
And? I played through Dishonored with no powers, clean hands and ghost and it was still awesome. Strip 'em down to their mortal abilities and they're all equal ;) I think the fact that you can play as two characters makes me wanna play through the game at least 4 times, it'll probably be at least 10 times on reality though Played through Dishonored and all DLC at least 10 times in every way and just started doing so again
i have the game its awesome.i also like how they made corvo more stealthy and discreet great for low choas, and emily is more op and action oriented. And thats great for hight chaos.
Still undoubtedly the greatest game I’ve ever played. Assassin’s Creed can’t compare. Everything Thief did, Dishonored does better. It’s the most visually appealing game I’ve ever seen, but that’s just personal lol. What an experience.
Definitely doing 2 play through a of this, I like corvo as a character but Emily's power are the shit. I hope this has a new game plus so I can play it like crazy to unlock all the powers.
Having played this in 2024 i can confirm that Emily's powers aren't as OP as they look, though corvo's fully upgraded blink, bendtime and devouring swarm are still my favorite combo to use.
Emily seems like she is better at blasting through enemies, while Corvo seems much better at stealth. Bend Time and Possession are the best stealth options.
Corvo's Blink ability can be upgraded to Daud's (the one that stops time when idle). Your possession ability can be upgraded to jump from one character to another. Other than that I think only passive abilities changed, but they are not shown in the video, when they are on the game at all. Also I think Devouring Swarm is no longer available with the end of the rat plague.
Blake Actually, there's a Shadow Kill upgrade where if you kill enemies, not only they turn to ash, but bloodflies comes out as well. Devouring Swarm is still there, of course.
It was so weird because I got an ad about dishonoured 2 while I was waiting for this trailer it must be a sign don't know what it means but it's a sign!
Dishonored 2 looks so good! I will probably take the nonlethal route so I won't be able to use all the cool tricks but I'll do a lethal play through also
The faster way to clean the royal conservatory: -Get into the conservatory trow the window over the main entrance (Next to the watchtower) -Get into the building itself -Use the stairs to get into the upper floor -Use far reach or blink to get to the open hatch (The one next to a teapot) over Breanna Ashworth office -Go to the lab and take the lenses -Go to the oracle machine -Kill or neutralise the witch next to the machine -Change the lens and hide next two the lever -Pull the lever, a cutscene kicks in and every witch in the level loses its powers, falls unconsius and the dogs disappear -Breanna is now neutralised and now you can loot the hell out of the conservatory
I'd like for this game to have the ability to turn off limits on your magic usage (or whatever it's called), so that way you can feel really powerful and chain together your powers like this.
Even tho emily's abilities seem fun,i find it hard to not play with corvo first once it launches.being a player of the first game and addicted to it right now as part of the hype
Looks like Corvo's learnt to blink the way Daud did
And kick
In some trailer i saw a blink without stopping the time, but rather slowing it down. Maybe its an upgrade (normal blink>slow time>stop time)
that is the case like in the previose one the upgrade increased range but now it stops time
+nipaigrat Emily 's slows down but goes farther, corvo's stops time but is shorter and immediate
Jack Wilson Emily doesnt blink. She has a creepy tentacle thing
Mana potion left: 0
-2*
I Still Like.Corvo.
Yep, thts me every time, blink then wait for mana to replenish
Oof
@@fubarfubar579 lmao same
The first playthrough will be as Emily for me, but then I'll head through as Corvo. I'm so glad they upgraded his Blink to the version Daud has. It was so useful. And I'm glad possession is upgraded. Might be worthy of getting for a stealth playthrough now
Yeah, I hardly ever used possession in Dishonored 1. Then again I almost always played lethally.
emily still kinda looks better for stealth imo
But Daud's Time stop blink made the game 2x easier : / It just seems so op...
Xoccyle ggggyyt
man daud's blink is so awesome you could do some sick mindtricks mid air with the ai
this looks exceptional in every aspect, really glad they turned this into a franchise
iAmDaos same it's fantastic
It looks great, but we'll see if it's actually good.
I hope it'll have a memorable base like the hounds pits pub
Edward Tigersoul if it's anything like the first it will be
iAmDaos i really like the First :)
Basically, Emily youthful and action oriented. Corvo wise and stealth.
Exactly that.
Corvo still has the rats swarm tho
Corvo
She's still a young fighter and an empress. Corvo's upbringing probably had an effect on him being how he is
So many cool ways to fight and kill people and yet I'll probably play the whole game without killing or alerting anyone...
It's not as exciting but seeing the mission report say "0 deaths, 0 bodies found" is very satisfying
I find it difficult for stealth-
I say that but I chose to play as Emily for the one for everybody move. . . That made no sense HAHAHAHA
I think the game is a lot more challenging that way. I find killing all enemies made the game a bit too easy.
@@kaskyable it really is, stealth in so hard in both games
A lot of these could be replaced with nonlethal methods although probably a bit more difficult than just killing

Would using this mean an exploit to a low chais ending? Cause that's not exactly killing them. Just a KO.
Hamzah Khwaja Domino can be used for both lethal and non-lethal. If you wanna knock out a group of three guards or so easily, you could do that
I feel like Mesmerize, Domino, and Shadow Walk kind of make it too easy.
Especially Shadow Walk...I mean, it's a stealth game; why have the convenient power of basic invisibility? But then again, I haven't actually tried it out so lol
Im happy whith 2 characters it adds a replay factor + with high/low chaos thats easily 4 playthroughs
now add no powers>8, no parkour
ooftopophobia>16, +2 different speedruns :D
I put a hundred hours into the first game. I really, really hope that the sequel has the same replayability. With two different characters with entirely different powers, it should give me a ton of hours.
Rusmack McDwarf Oh skill runs ofcourse i just meant base runs lol can't wait for this game
Michael Morris going back for different upgrade trees and going for different gadgets for me that's like 20 lol
Javid Ken Haha nice
I like that 'quality of life' change to corvo's blink ability. Can't wait to plays this.
khai minh tran it could also be seen as an improvement based on Corvo's gained experience, as Daud had his powers much longer than Corvo in the first game, it makes sense it could simply be the aged and experienced version of Blink
Just played through Dishonoured 1 recently and realised this is the Lv 3 form of blink, upgraded only by time, not runes.
Corvo: Perfect for Low Chaos
Emily: Perfect for High Chaos
Both characters are perfect for both playstyles.
Actually, outside xbox showed both are great for either
Riley Kard Getting Low Chaos on my playthrough as Emily xP
Riley Kard low chaos is easyer with Emily
Riley Kard honestly they're both perfect for both ways
I love the way that Daud had his time stop on his blink in the dlc due to him already being given the mark for awhile, and now Corvo has developed it as well.

That linking power still bothers me, seems to make the game way too easy! i want to play as Emily first, but i'm quite sure i'm gonna get to the selection screen and instinctively choose Corvo instead.
To me Emily's powers seem so unnecessary. Probably not gonna use half of them.
For every single link on each enemy takes a little more than using bend time once.
I don't care, lol still deadset af on playing corvo once more
Emily's powers seems hella more fun to play with then Corvo
As someone who was deadset on playing as Corvo again.. This trailer swayed me.. Emily's powers look fun as hell!
It seems Emily will play better at combat, high chaos but Corvo will be best at stealth
Check out StealthgamerBR, no way emily can pull that awesome shit
Fun yes,better?
Depends on your tastes,Emily has more flare, corvo is on point.
Corvo is the pro
Emily is the prodigy.
Have you completed Dishonored 2 yet Feluto?
Have you exhausted both character's skills yet?
Didn't think so..
i felt like emily was just killing almost everyone while corvo was a bit more discreet
***** I can see I never played the first one so I dont even know much about dishonored, but will be buying it
+Tony Cruez Dude, use the remaining weeks to play it. Literally my favorite game of all time. A real work of art even after 12 playthroughs and counting.
+ColdHeartTV
Wow, I only got 8 and thought it was much :)
But I guess I'll play it once again in the week before the release.

Emily is way too op, my man corvo is still the most badass tho
Really? Corvo with that super far wind blast, blink kick, and bend time is insane.
+arkayneshad0w

Domino is not that effective in combat though, because you don't get the time to link ppl while they're attacking you. Bend time was always op, but these games are not aimed at being fair.

It does make sense. I'll play the story atleast 6 times (low/high chaos on emily and corvo and emily without powers)
Looking forward to putting the mask on again as corvo.
damn its really gonna be hard to choose between these two
+Peanut “Weeb” Jams
the chaos system will come back, bit this time with 3 levels:
low, high, very high chaos
abssuper 20 nah it’s easy for me I stick to Corvo since He was the main character in dishonored 1
I'm choosing corvo.
I am here to remind you that Daud was the best character :
They put Daud's time stop blink into Corvo :P
+Guts Likes It In The Ass Thats what made me think of him :}
He was my favorite and I don't care what others may think
he was pretty hardcore
William_Brando sucks he only had 4 powers in kod and and new one in bw
Love that they gave Corvo the blink upgrade that Daud had in The Knife of Dunwall.
People saying Emily is OP Just because Emily's powers are new doesn't mean they're op
well its because corvos moves are more for using your brain while emily is more like, domino everyone and theyre dead, doppleganger kills people for you, mesmerise allows you to kill people and they wont do anything about it and far reach can pull people in for the kill while
corvo has like one killing move which is whirlwind and blink seems like it only pushes people
PlasmaFrog I agree apart from the rat swarm all other abilities are more of a tactical advantage then straight on kill
All of Corvo's and Emily's powers can be used to kill everyone. They both require using strategy to be used at their fullest potential
*****
well corvo requires more thought to actually be effective but i think emily's is effective as it is already.
More Thought? Stop Time + Stab everyone...
I like how the witch was aware of Corvo during possession
I love how the story looks to at least somewhat involve Daud or his actions and it really involves Delila. It's cool to see that Dishonored 1's dlc's weren't just throw away content and instead it lead to another game.
Love that they give you Dishonored 1 in your purchase.
where did it say that?
^ it's part of the Pre-order for Dishonored 2 they give you The first and some other stuff too I think.
DigitalBerserk really? Man, I just bought and beat it last week.
Corvo looks like more fun to me
it's actually, but you know why some of them see Emley more fun to play with?
because she had a new power and every one wants to try it.
I love how they kept the noises the void makes when you use a power with corvo "soom" (blink)
With all these tools at the player's disposal, I sure hope the difficulty of the game can keep up and make it a challenge.
God that "song" at the start and the end of the video sounds badass. Anyone know if its on youtube? I want to play it on my guitar
well thats Dishonored1 ost, you can get it on youtube
Actually that's Dishonored 2 ost. It'll release a few months after the game's release, thats for sure
Its Dishonored1 ost dumbass, youtube it
Gizelbelcoot I've listened to several times, and the music at the beginning of the video is not there.
Its 100% Dishonored 2's music.
+Gizelbelcoot Calling people dumbasses while being incorrect yourself. Nice.
holy fuk, this is gonna be the best game ever
I won't be killing anyone, no one will ever even see me. This will be ghost run as well : D DD
Emily is for fun/casual
corvo if you want get job done
it's incredible how they've changed this game. they haven't changed anything drastic. they just have all the tweaks we were hoping for.
I just don't see myself using half of these abilities.
Edward Tigersoul have you played the first game
Yes. In that I only used Blink, the Vision thing and Bend Time. The rest are so unnecessary.
They're still nice to have. Tbh I also did a playthrough with the only powers being used was blink, never dared to do one without any. Seems like fun though.
Yeah I'm the same except I did use possession to get Lady Boyle downstairs at the party.

Emily's powers are great, but nothing beats stopping time
Finished Emily's play through but I can't wait to play with my man Corvo
I still wanna play corvo. It fits my style of play better
Me too.
Or your just like me, a sexist gamer. No shame in that
@@CorvoLegend1 umm what
@@CorvoLegend1 bruh 😐
It seems harder for Emily to be stealthy because her "blink" is a pull so everyone can see her do this while Corvo's is a teleport.

The Phantom ( Emily) and Skull ( Corvo ) of Dunwall
Corvo seems to be for stealth players, while Emily is for loud/brutal playstyles. I love it.
I'll probably play Corvo again as stealth is my favorite thing about Dishonored.
I can't wait for this to come out
i have the game its awesome.i also like how they made corvo more stealthy and discreet great for low choas, and emily is more op and action oriented. And thats great for hight chaos.
SO glad they brought Daud's blink back! (kind of)
I wish their was a mode where you have all powers and unlimited mana
Ooppss! 2 years late but I have a solution. Go to nexus mods. Enter ds2’s page and type new game+. Have a nice day!
StealthGamerBR gonna casually escape the area with plenty of body bags.
Still undoubtedly the greatest game I’ve ever played. Assassin’s Creed can’t compare. Everything Thief did, Dishonored does better. It’s the most visually appealing game I’ve ever seen, but that’s just personal lol. What an experience.

im so happy they have daud's blink in this
Gotta love how cocky that witch was like :
Oh there is someone beneath my sking , careful now I might not let you leave........."dead"
Having played this in 2024 i can confirm that Emily's powers aren't as OP as they look, though corvo's fully upgraded blink, bendtime and devouring swarm are still my favorite combo to use.
So i can choose to play 24/7 as corvo ? or do i have to switch? Cuz i aint interested in Emily , Corvo the real MVP!
SKULL_CRUSHERx you can but I recommend playing Emily for non lethal stealth playthrow because her powers are better for that
Team Corvor. He's the best.
love the sound for Domino "hais skantis"
Magnifique! Seems like Corvo is there as legacy choice but Emily is proper gameplay choice.
I think Corvo is more tactical. Emily is more of just killing in different ways.
Mesmerize, Doppelganger and Transposition sound extremely tactical to me.
It's not about what they are, it's about what you are ;)
I cant wait till StealthgamerBR plays this, oh and me too.
They used the powers a lot but never replenished the mana I'm hoping they did away with the mana or at least made the bar bigger
My little Emily is all grown up
Emily seems like she is better at blasting through enemies, while Corvo seems much better at stealth. Bend Time and Possession are the best stealth options.
Finally Corvo has Daud's blink
Man I never thought to chain dudes together and choke out one chokes them all out? Wow that would have been helpful! Time for another play through!
So I haven't been keeping much track of Dishonored II. I'm just ready for it to be released.
So Is Corvo gaining any new powers?
Same powers as last time with more upgrades this time around.
I think it's upgrades for old ones, so Blink with freeze time, longer possession, etc.
And there's more upgrade paths for the existing ones.
I think Corvo should be able to summon Bloodflies.
Blake Actually, there's a Shadow Kill upgrade where if you kill enemies, not only they turn to ash, but bloodflies comes out as well.
Devouring Swarm is still there, of course.
Might be going with a Doppleganger / Shadow Walk build for Emily. Seems like it will create more pandemonium.
FUCK YEAH, THEY GAVE CORVO THE BEST BLINK!!!!
Was kinda worried he would have the same one from the last game and not the better one Daud had.
It was so weird because I got an ad about dishonoured 2 while I was waiting for this trailer it must be a sign don't know what it means but it's a sign!
Loved the first one, really excited for this sequel!
Oh boy oh boy, I pissed my pants of joy.
Emily's was wayyy more badass
Corvo is the best.
They put a lot of thought into this game
Dishonored 2 looks so good! I will probably take the nonlethal route so I won't be able to use all the cool tricks but I'll do a lethal play through also
The faster way to clean the royal conservatory:
-Get into the conservatory trow the window over the main entrance (Next to the watchtower)
-Get into the building itself
-Use the stairs to get into the upper floor
-Use far reach or blink to get to the open hatch (The one next to a teapot) over Breanna Ashworth office
-Go to the lab and take the lenses
-Go to the oracle machine
-Kill or neutralise the witch next to the machine
-Change the lens and hide next two the lever
-Pull the lever, a cutscene kicks in and every witch in the level loses its powers, falls unconsius and the dogs disappear
-Breanna is now neutralised and now you can loot the hell out of the conservatory
And once again the music is amazing.
Domino is a sweet ability. This is going to be great, the first one seemed a little slept on
The story is, the witches from dis honored one came back for vengence, so they took Emily's throne and brainwashed everyone. My guess.
I'd like for this game to have the ability to turn off limits on your magic usage (or whatever it's called), so that way you can feel really powerful and chain together your powers like this.
you can use the cheat engine to get as many runes as you like so that you can unlock all powers
Not on console^
not on pc either dishonored one didnt have console commands:,(
haven't you read my comment, you use the cheat engine
oopsie im gonna look into that then
I think Corvo is better stealth character than Emily.🤔
Mahesh Ambrale mesmerize and domino though
Oh boy, look at all that lethal stuff that I'm never gonna use
I believe that the majority will have chosen to Corvo
Although it's very quiet does the duke say "I will fight for Delilah" at 3:22? Cause if so doesn't that mean that Daud didn't succeed in killing her?
He never killed her lol the canon ending is the painting trap, and it's known already at the time of this video about Delilah lol
Gaming King Didn't know it was the canon ending mate.
Fall in love with Emily
I hope corvos double jump returns. I loved it (but I loved dauds better because in had a smoother transition from jump 1 to jump 2)
Why do I seem to be the only person this has been recommended to recently?
They sure know how to make good games and trailers
So the most important thing first. Will we get more informations about the Outsider?
I was thinking of getting Mirror's Edge Catalyst. That'll have to wait.
3:10 AKA *VOID BLINK*
CORVO FOREVER!
I guess you could say... Corever ;)
I'm now considering getting windblast now
Corvo is my man
Even tho emily's abilities seem fun,i find it hard to not play with corvo first once it launches.being a player of the first game and addicted to it right now as part of the hype
I'm addicted to the first game and I cannot wait for the 2nd one to come out. You can check out my channel and look at my Dishonored videos.
