When I first played this game, I was trying for zero kills on the first prison break level, but I ended up killing the last guard before the gate explosion somehow. I thought, "oh! He suffocated because I locked him in a dumpster!! That's so clever!" And then I played it again and I realized that the dumpster happened to be right next to the giant bomb ☠☠
I also made the same mistake, that bloody bin is such click bait, I've also thrown sleepy guys in water and instantly thought wait shit now they downed WHAT YOU MEAN YOU CANT SLEEP UNDER WATER!
Some of my favorite games of all time. Tis a shame what Arkane has become. Youd think Redfall was a solo fan made budget title compared to their earlier works.
Dishonored 2 has one of the most intricate level designs I have ever seen in the Clockwork Mansion. Also, it had time travel that was better implemented but overshadowed by Titanfalls 2 similar level released around the same time. Death of the Outsider is a lot of fun, they removed the Chaos system, energy regenerates, the powers are even more evolved. Arkane just decided to let players go wild without restrictions.
the only part of dtto i liked was the bank heist. other then that it feels like its just discount dishonored 2. plus daud didn't get enough screen time and his death was done well enough but the end felt like it fell flat and it didn't give enough information about what happens after the campaign like the rest of the series had before it. fun but not a worthy end to the series
Ahh, a revisit to many happy memories. I played this on release on the 360 and it's one of the games I return to (or at least the franchise) on a regular basis. Without meaning to spoil anything I think you will appreciate the 2 dlc's more after D2. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the Dishonored series here. Good vid
Honestly, there aren't many games I'd suggest this with because it's a cheap way of extracting cash from people, especially with games this old.... But man, play every DLC. They're all amazing. The Blade of Dunwall is actually one of the greatest DLC's ever made.
This was one of the best immersive sim's since Deus Ex for me. It's one of those games that I liked so much that I replayed it to see the other endings. I'm disappointed that Arkane kinda split up into Arkane Lyon and Austin after Dishonored 2 and they didn't more more of this game and/or Prey and went into a completely new direction with their games so I miss Dishonored` like games dearly.
Regarding Dishonored 2, I enjoyed it a lot, including the Death of the Outsider DLC as well. One thing I enjoyed in DH2 was how they actually made a point to incorporate the "Mostly Flesh and Steel" concept into the storyline. Whether or not you decide to accept the Outsider's gift, and thus give yourself a crazy number of powers to play with, is somewhat worked into the narrative to a small degree. It's not game changing that I am aware of, but at one point during the campaign, a character actually remarks on how you didn't take any of the Outsider's gifts. And given the narrative tone of the game, it kind of added a new dynamic to the low/high chaos component, into a corruption/virtuous component, for lack of a better dynamic. Do you reclaim what was taken from you by making a pact with the "devil" ? Do you reclaim with your own blood and sweat? Ultimately it's more a personal aspect to it, but it was personally so compelling for ME, that my first playthrough of it, I didn't take the powers at all. I wanted to beat the game as a pure human, untainted by darkness. Just for my own personal enjoyment. And it was fun. I also changed it up based on which character I played as. One of them, I canonically had refuse the powers, the other I was like "pssh, yeah sure man, I'll make whatever deals I need to, to achieve my goals."
I remember getting this for Christmas in 2012 and I was actually a bit bummed because I wanted far cry 3 more. My mom just picked this one instead and it ended up being such a fantastic game to my surprise. Only beat it once, now here I am playing it again in 2023 and it still holds up. One of my fav games of all time.
Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight? Edit: I'll be honest, I've never seen the ai being weird with the detection so I'll take your word for it. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe you're unlucky, whatever the case at least it wasn't too frustrating from the sounds of things.
Loved this game back when I was super into stealth games. I still to this day quote the ending when the boat guy says "but what do i know I'm just a boat man"
Fantastic game, all the different ways to solve problems almost definitely appeals to some of your crpg affinities. I'm excited to see your dishonored 2 review. I found stealth in 2 to be much much more difficult.
Dude I just wanted to let you know you are by far my favourite reviewer right now and i wholeheartedly enjoy your content. Keep it up and dont burn out. I just wanted to give you some strenght to carry on :)
You reviewed one of my favorite games :) I really like your reviews and we seem to have the same taste in games so I hope you’ll keep doing them. This was a very cool successor to the Thief games, which I loved, and I always played this game with stealth in mind. The heart was one of my favorite items: I found myself “hearing” everyone’s thoughts. It’s fun, we learn a lot of lore and sometimes its really interesting and you find new stories :)
I am looking forward to you playing Dishonored 2. I never could quite get into that game (for various reasons). But the first game feels like the perfect mix of everything just coming together and creating a masterpiece. Feel like the length of the game is particularly perfect in this regard. It's just long enough for you not to feel ripped off, but also not so long that some of the repetitive aspects of the game start to drag on you. And if you still haven't had enough after finishing the game you can always replay it with the opposite playstyle to what you just chose (stealth/murder spree).
Prey 2017 is the true successor to Dishonored. Raphael Colantonio, director of the first Dishonored, did not direct Dishonored 2, rather he worked on Prey.
Dishonored is my favourite franchise of all time. It’s not just the gameplay, but the world Arkane has created. Alle the Lore around the isles and Tyvia are just mindblowing. Wait until you find out more about it in D2 and DotO. They created such a rich world, I often play the games just to be there. The same with Prey. It hurts so much that they had no real success with Deathloop und Redfall, I still hope we will see Dishonored 3 or Prey 2 in the future.
Funnily enough my favorite play through was going for the flesh and steel achievement. It’s a testament to the level design that you can complete everything just jumping around and climbing without blink. One of my favs
Finally picked this one up during 2020, personally some of the best games from the last decade. Played it on console though so if any game needed a New Game Plus, it's this one.
@@-Monad- It is, but this one doesn't. Without PC mods, you can only replay levels with the skills (that you have to reacquire) available by that point in the game.
Like I mentioned in the prior video, Dishonored is one of those titles that I like to play once or twice per year. It's my favorite stealth game of all-time. I love the Steampunk Victorian setting. There are so many options at your disposal when it comes to eliminating certain targets, whether it's lethal or non-lethal. Of course, part of the fun in Dishonored is going in guns ablazing and using Corvo's supernatural abilities and causing absolute mayhem. You'll end up getting a high chaos rating, but the game ends up being more enjoyable. What's the point of having awesome supernatural abilities if you can't utilize them? Taking the low chaos approach is still fun, but it takes a lot more planning and time, especially on harder difficulty settings where you need to take every action into account. The detection system isn't perfect and it does have some inconsistenties, but it works for the most part. It's unfortunate that Dishonored 2 didn't do well, which was due to the myriad of issues that the PC version had at the time. The entire series is a blast to play especially the first Dishonored. Thanks, Mortim for the awesome video! Your hard work is always appreciated! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!
I don't understand why you didn't say much about the lore, art design and atmosphere, they are absolutely phenomenal and one of the best aspects of Dishonored along with gameplay. Stealth in Dishonored is one of the best in my opinion, because it is literally the only game (from what I have played) that has more proactive stealth than typical reactive stealth, which makes it much more dynamic and fun than other stealth-action games. I also never understood people who complain that the chaos system affects the ending and restrict the "fun". Your actions during gameplay have consequences and directly affect the ending, this is a conceptually perfect system for an immersive sim that makes the game fundamentally better within this genre. Other than that, the review was quite good. Dishonored is my favorite game series and I hope you enjoy the sequels.
The resemblance to Thief makes a ton of sense when you remember that Arkane had a lot of former employees who came over when Looking Glass Studios went bust. It's the same reason Arkane made Prey as a spiritual successor to System Shock. (Irrational had a lot of former Looking Glass people too, hence Bioshock.) As for the rest, yeah, the disconnect between "here, have all these extremely lethal toys and superpowers" and "punishing you for actually using any of them" was a very common complaint about the game, and as you noted, the penalty kicks in very quickly. It makes sense, since most of the guards are just doing their jobs, but still. On the bright side, at least it's still a ton of fun to go pure stealth. I think the nonlethal ways of taking out your target and ruining their lives were probably my favorite part of the game. A good revenge story should be poetic and creative, not just stabby, and going Edmond Dantès on their asses felt way more fitting.
When I bought this game, it was part of an amazing 3-Pack with Dishonored, Dishonored 2, and Prey. Three games that are honestly amazing to play. Yes, all three games have some shortcomings, but all three games STILL manage to be (as you put it) a work of art. Prey has less of a "chaos system" and more of a "decisions" system. You can make various decisions and do various things in the game that ultimately affect how the game judges you (literally) and what outcome that will lead to.
This series of games easily sits at the top of my list every time, regardless of it being mostly the same every time there is so much replayability and it genuinely never gets old, when they announced 2 I was so incredibly hyped and still it surpassed expectations
Another excellent piece of work/advice and information. Don’t normally post that much, but this is to say how much I enjoy your content and why I keep coming back.I enjoy both games and movies but so many other sites too hysterical and over the top for me each have their place I guess. Anyway Just wanted to say thanks and keep on doing what you love as long as you can.😊 Oh and prompted by the fact I have never played Dishonoured/my best friend loved it ,but it’s currently available on PS plus etc so gives me opportunity to make a start.
This was a fantastic game that caught me totally by surprise as I wasn't paying a of attention to gaming stuff when it came out. So I was lucky enough to go into it with no real expectations and boy did I get a pleasant surprise for a game I picked up on sale. Never finished the second one though, didn't grab me in the same way but I keep meaning to try again
I really appreciate how you structure these video's. For games such as these which I still need to play for myself, I'm always very interested to hear your opinion but I'd like to discover things such as combat and story for myself. Thanks to the chapterized video's, it's really easy to navigate to the bits that I want to hear. Thank you for that 🙂
@@MortismalGaming Yeah, my bad. I wasn't looking too closely in the achievements list. The one I meant was By My Hand Alone. That's the one that deterred me from trying to 100% Dishonored.
Glad you finally reviewed this, Mortismal! I'm looking forward to your review of Dishonored 2 when you get to it. I personally like that game better than the first one (I think it has even better level design), but there are some who prefer the first game. Dishonored 2 does address one of your criticisms, though, by giving you a lot more nonlethal options. Anyway, thanks for the review!
There's so much to love about the Dishonored titles and Prey--level design, style, creative powers/moves and even more creative uses for them, and incredible world-building are just a few examples. I sincerely hope that Redfall doesn't sink them. At the very least, I hope the great minds in the studio are able to move on to bigger and better things. Redfall seemed like it had the foundation for an interesting story and then someone (or multiple someones up the ladder) kept making demands of it that just weren't feasible or intended from the start. What started as someone's passion probably turned into the spoiled milk in the fridge that no one wanted to touch to throw away. We know Arkane is capable. Redfall reeks of tampering and unrealistic expectations. We've been seeing this type of crap happen to a lot of hyped up games over the last few years--ME Andromeda and Anthem come to mind--and I almost never come out of it blaming the people who worked on it but those who loomed over them going "fit that square peg in the circle hole."
For what was being talked about @ 13:52, let me recommend StealthGamerBR, if you haven't already seen them. His Stealth High Chaos vids are indeed crazy.
I certainly enjoyed it, as I said. Mind, still shocked by how some reviewers can get hung up on single points(A LOT of reviewers will spend whole minutes on the fate of Lady Boyle, for instance. Because they seem to ignore what non-lethal options are for the other targets). Heck, I still remember one that said she thought the empress was the villain, who was doing all sorts of nasty things and not supporting the quarantine. Turned out her only playthru was on a stream, and she had read literally nothing. Like, not a single note or book. That all being said, between the 3 games, this is the hardest to replay, since you're starting ALL the way over, with no 'new game+' bonuses or abilities, and quite a few things like the prison being pacing disasters on replays since they are very set piece heavy moments that require you to play them as intended. Of course, that does allow this one to tell a VERY coherent and present story, immersing you in all the things Corvo is having to do to win back the Empire for Emily, which is why I think we have such an attachment to him that they allow him or Emily to be playable in the next one, because they know some people will want to put on his mask again just for one more go. Anyway, I was expecting the Trials to slow you down more than just a day or two, as I've heard nightmare stories about them, though I'll admit, since there's no bonus in the main game, I'm not going to play them myself.
One part of the chaos system that I like, is that if you kill all of your targets you'll still get the low chaos ending, despite those having alternatives to "spare" them, which is a fate worse than death, every time. Chaos can be seen as your professionalism. You're an assassin, and assassins aren't meant to leave collateral damage.
There is a mission where you have to fight your way up through a guard post to reach a glass house at the top to kidnap someone. But if you have double blink you can avoid all of that by climbing onto a chimney and blinking straight up to the balcony outside the glass house. That kind of flexibility is so rewarding.
I never really had issues with the perception piece, but that may be due to the fact that I religiously used the leaning during my Clean Hands, Mostly Flesh and Steel, Shadow run while on the highest difficulty
I think that the golden cat level starts at the same location as the previous one because it smooths out the learning curve. Dishonoreds level desing is peak (first mission of Knife of Dunwall should be in level desing books) and it tries to teach you the things through show dont tell, so Id just say its there for players that arent hardcore gamers to get hold of things
Great game. It has an unique take on the steampunk (whalepunk?) setting. The motivation to take down the villains is on par with Max Payne. In some games you don't really care why you go after the bad guys and here this is not the case at all. A bit like "The Count of Monte Cristo". The gameplay is forgiving (which is a plus for me). It does not require you to go pure stealth. If you get caught you can fight back pretty effectively and you can also disengage and hide.
It would be awesome if you would make a video about how you get to 100% in a game. Do you read the guides first? Is there some strategy for it? What is the best advice to do this
What I don't like is if I want to replay a mission, I have to use the last loadout I had for that mission and not get to choose what I may want. Because the autosave feature made me stuck with it. If I want a certain loadout, I have to replay the campaign from before the mission I want and then work my way to that loadout. The first couple missions, you don't have any choice. That kills replayability for me.
I feel like playing a huge puzzle game with dishonored especially on low chaos runs. Edit: also most abilities and equipment doesn't cater to a low chaos play style (which yes, Dishonored 2 addresses). But you can tell that the devs put care and love in the game.
The only game I'm in the credits of that I actually picked up and played as soon as it was finished, I could spend hours just roaming around listening to NPCs conversations or using the hearth. The lore of it is amazing, some bits were scrapped/changed very early on as far as I'm aware, but also what's left in... had me dreaming of finding out more about the "whales" andrest of the world.
How in the actual phuck have you 100% Dishonored already? It took me like, 6-7 months, it's taken you 6-7 DAYS!?! 🤣🤣 Very impressive pace good sir. I'm blown away.
Boyyyy, Dark Messiah was really something. Played it 3-4 times and i always have fond memories. It makes you feel lonely and under pressure and anxiety. I loved it.
Spoilers below: When I played this on launch, I was attempting a No Kill run for my (currently only) playthrough. I was doing well until I got to the final confrontation between Slackjaw and Granny Rags. In that little subplot I'd deemed Slackjaw the lesser of two evils (I WAS trying to be a good guy, after all), so I sided with him. Slight problem: Granny Rags was bugged at the time. Even non-lethal methods of taking her out counted as a kill. Frustrated the hell out of me, but given how vile Rags is, I decided I could live with it. I really must go back and see if it's been fixed some time.
Good stuff. I agree with all criticism, especially chaos system, which I think discourages interacting with more interesting system. Overall the sequel handles with better with most of Emily’s kit being useful in both lethal and non-lethal playthroughs. Though even the binary state of “good, bad” playthrough is something I am, not a fan of. I wish consequences were more gradual - that we could make decisions on how to handle the counter on individual basis rather than adopting playthrough wide approach for the whole game. I think it would result in a more interesting title if we could shake up our approach more. I wonder what you will think of the sequel - it is overall a straight up improvement on the original (some of the missions are a real marvel of level design) but I found the story to be very shaky.
Definitely agree it's unfortunate you get the bad ending for playing the game in a more combat heavy style. My favourite stealth game series Tenchu seriously needs to make a comeback. In Tenchu your not penalized for kills if your stealthy. Your score would start at the highest grade of Grand Master and each time you were spotted in a mission it would lower your score. The more kills you got undetected would increase your score, so could help make up for being spotted. Also love how despite being a stealth game, the Tenchu games aren't overly dour and serious and manage to even be downright charming, with their awesome soundtracks doing alot of the heavy lifting on that front.
in the entire campaign excluding the assasins at the start i ˝˝killed˝˝ like 5 people , 1 was killed when i didnt notice i loaded those fire bolts or whatever and the others died from falling down from ledges after i shot them with sleeping bolts , i find the stealthy dont touch anyone approach much more satisfying and cleaner than killing everyone , and i forgot to mention this was on the elite difficulty or w/e and i also didnt kill any of the major plot targets
The chaos system was the sole reason that detract me from playing this game and one of the main reasons I find it hard to finish Prey as well, I don't like to be 'punished' for playing however I want, especially in Dishonored where most of the cool abilities, mechanics or things you can do are deadly. I usually want the 'good ending' which in this game meant, upgrading blink and skipping entire stages. I literally could see entire areas being skipped under me as I blink my way till the end where I would find a non violent way of ending the stage. I also love getting all the collectibles and that was the only thing making me actively engage with the each area, finding all the collectibles and peacing out.
The first game I played that I felt was an actual masterpiece. Prey is one of them too, together with hollow knight and katana zero. But considering how Arkane made 2 of my most favorite games ever is quite impressive. I can probably even say top 2 games I played.
What a game it was. Same for the Dishonored 2. They really nailed it at creating a whole cohesive world, pretty grim and dark where you can feel the poverty of people, the decline of the nation. You could really be immersed in that world with lot of little scenes, or, as you mentioned, all the quotes from the Heart, which gives you a deep insight of what's happening, revealing sometimes how desesperate people are in that game. Nice replayability too whith High / Low chaos. Characters were well written too. Thinking of those two gems of a game makes me desesperate when you know, now, what Arkane Studio has become with its lattest title. :/
They also recyle the stage level in deathloop ... 4 places.. in morning day night time... N looping those places all over again if die till you find correct order sequence to ending
I actually just started this a few weeks back (but was promptly distracted by other games - Darkest Dungeon 2). I did plan on continuing it, I just did the first prison breakout bit and boatride to meet some folk, but the prison section was good fun - I did like a deus ex ghost approach, entirely unseen, and it seemed decent but I did also notice the guard detection seemed a bit squirrely at times but figured it was just because i hadn't adjusted to the game yet. Will probably continue and do a non lethal ghost / low chaos by the sounds of things / run.
Prey is worth it just for the start. I knew almost nothing at all about the game (I try to avoid knowing anything about games before playing them) and the start of Prey really shook up my expectations. I never finished it, just as I never finished Dishonored 1 or 2. Or Fallout 3. Or Quake 2. Or Witcher 3. Or Skyrim. My first Skyrim playthrough lasted several years and I still hadn't finished it!
Next one is exactly like 1 so a break is a good idea, but 2 is soooo good, levels are so much better, and just tiny touches to the gameplay make it feels so much better, you in for a treat with 2
It's definitely not exactly like it. There's two playable characters, way better level design, a new location, more powers, and the whole rune crafting system.
@@goosewithagibus gameplay is exactly the same, objective is exactly the same, new level design does not change the formula it makes the original formula better, I'm not dissing the game in any way, it's an amazing sequal
Still have the Game Informer issue with this on the cover. Absolutely love the art style and it was an amazing game. Its one of the few I have played multiple times, every time trying to get the no kill achievement and every time, never get it.
It's worth nothing, since you made the very obvious Thief reference, that in Dishonored 2, they get the voice actor for Garrett to play Corvo. Which I personally just loved.
Bruh...when do you sleep? Do you sleep? Did you make a deal with the outsider?? Oh no reason...no...i don't work for the overseers...why would you say that? Now what are your thoughts on bones? The whale variety?
Fun fact, It's actually impossible to finish a High-Chaos Stealth run on PC. The level where you get nabbed by Daud has a glitch where you get detected no matter what. Thankfully there's no achievement for that though.
I remember being torn when this game came out. It was a great game.... but it was incredibly short. And this was one of the first games that came out with a 59.99 price tag back when most games were 49.99. It was this whole 'oh this game is fun... wait it's done? I payed sixty bucks for a 12 hour game?' kind of thing.
Haha I made that same mistake and it took me forever to figure out how it happened!
Doing a no death playthrough is tough, you'll have guards get knocked out by sleeping darts and fall off a balcony or ledge and die from the fall.
5😂😢😊❤😢😂❤❤❤😊❤❤
I also made the same mistake, that bloody bin is such click bait, I've also thrown sleepy guys in water and instantly thought wait shit now they downed WHAT YOU MEAN YOU CANT SLEEP UNDER WATER!
I failed my no kill run because I hid a guard next to a dumpster and rats ate him
Dishonored and Prey are games I can just play over and over again. Even after so many playthroughs I'm still finding new bits here and there.
Some of my favorite games of all time. Tis a shame what Arkane has become. Youd think Redfall was a solo fan made budget title compared to their earlier works.
Loved prey, dishonored didn’t do it for me
Prey is one of the best games ever.too bad gamers didnt buy it thats why we have redfall

The biggest loss for Arkane was the founder of the studio leaving after finishing Prey to escape the AAA big corporation crap.
They split up after Dishonored 1. Dishonored 2 is purely made by team in Lyon.
I hear deathloop is very similar
Regarding Dishonored 2, I enjoyed it a lot, including the Death of the Outsider DLC as well. One thing I enjoyed in DH2 was how they actually made a point to incorporate the "Mostly Flesh and Steel" concept into the storyline. Whether or not you decide to accept the Outsider's gift, and thus give yourself a crazy number of powers to play with, is somewhat worked into the narrative to a small degree. It's not game changing that I am aware of, but at one point during the campaign, a character actually remarks on how you didn't take any of the Outsider's gifts. The heart was one of my favorite items: I found myself “hearing” everyone’s thoughts. It’s fun, we learn a lot of lore and sometimes its really interesting and you find new stories :)
You have a very VERY good and understated channel. I enjoy it quite a bit. Thank you.
Man this game is so good! I especially love the art style. It’s like you are playing through a water color painting
It hurts so much that they had no real success with Deathloop und Redfall, I still hope we will see Dishonored 3 or Prey 2 in the future.
hah, I like your self-awareness with your intro thing Mortismal. You're a breath of fresh air mate.
Funnily enough my favorite play through was going for the flesh and steel achievement. It’s a testament to the level design that you can complete everything just jumping around and climbing without blink. One of my favs
Congrats on the channel growth! You deserve it. 👍
Finally picked this one up during 2020, personally some of the best games from the last decade. Played it on console though so if any game needed a New Game Plus, it's this one.
Dishonored 2 has a New Game+, it's really fun
(Irrational had a lot of former Looking Glass people too, hence Bioshock.)
As for the rest, yeah, the disconnect between "here, have all these extremely lethal toys and superpowers" and "punishing you for actually using any of them" was a very common complaint about the game, and as you noted, the penalty kicks in very quickly.
One of my all time favourites, I always can replay it one more time.
Bro. Just wanted to say. I really enjoy your channel. 👌
Great review, always quality videos !
I've played through the second one. Bought it after playing thr demo. Fantastic.
Amazing game and review. Cant wait to hear your dishonored 2 impressions.
I really appreciate how you structure these video's. For games such as these which I still need to play for myself, I'm always very interested to hear your opinion but I'd like to discover things such as combat and story for myself. Thanks to the chapterized video's, it's really easy to navigate to the bits that I want to hear. Thank you for that 🙂
How did it pass me by? All the others, down with the sickness.
The madman actually did it. He unlocked the Time Management achievement.
Beating the train in a foot race was a pretty tough achievement for me as well, lol
Doing it on Chain Kill is incredibly easy, the train one I had to look up a couple of methods
How did we get from this masterpiece to... Redfall?
Haha, so glad I'm not the only one who struggled with the Trials achievements ... :D I aged 5 years getting By My Hand Alone ...
Great review. When will you do one for Dishonored 2 and DotO? Any estimation?
In a few months probably, like late summer/fall somewhere in there, next few weeks are packed with new stuff releasing
Yeah the actual limit of kills before high chaos is around 10 or so, so just the targets isn't enough if that's all you're killing
Again good review 10x
It would be awesome if you would make a video about how you get to 100% in a game. Do you read the guides first? Is there some strategy for it? What is the best advice to do this
I made a video about my general approach a while back
I completely agree with you about the chaos system.
The “Dishonored” series is one of my favorite series!!! The DLC is very good also! (I really liked “Dishonored 2” & “Death of the Outsider”.
This is and will be a legendary game alongside Bioshock.
Did you get the Game Over by jumping in the tub with Callista? You didn't 100% the game if you didn't do that.
I feel like playing a huge puzzle game with dishonored especially on low chaos runs.
Edit: also most abilities and equipment doesn't cater to a low chaos play style (which yes, Dishonored 2 addresses). But you can tell that the devs put care and love in the game.
The only stealth games I actually had the patience to complete and in fact enjoy a lot.
I have a feeling you're gonna like Dishonored 2 even more.
Both games are pretty good.
My fav 100% right here, I usually only go for plats but this game is just way too good
Hope we get to see a review on dishonored 2 !
How in the actual phuck have you 100% Dishonored already? It took me like, 6-7 months, it's taken you 6-7 DAYS!?! 🤣🤣
Very impressive pace good sir. I'm blown away.
Boyyyy, Dark Messiah was really something. Played it 3-4 times and i always have fond memories. It makes you feel lonely and under pressure and anxiety. I loved it.
you have brought dishonor to us all
I started replaying this once I discovered "Blades in the Dark" They go so well together
After you are done with this fantastic series you should also give the Arkham games a go especially Asylum, City and Knight.
Spoilers below:
When I played this on launch, I was attempting a No Kill run for my (currently only) playthrough.
You can just take her key and leave without dealing with either of them
@@MortismalGaming True, but I felt like that was leaving a thread dangling.
I feel very fortunate to have played it in my early years with games now i can feel nostalgia for a timelessly fun game
Can't wait for you play dishonored 1 & 2, Prey, Deathloop, then compared it to Redfall
Pretty sure he already reviewed Deathloop
Oh yeah there is Weird West too
I have reviewed prey, deathloop, and weird west already
They also recyle the stage level in deathloop ... 4 places.. in morning day night time... N looping those places all over again if die till you find correct order sequence to ending
25:39 Damn, I didn't know you could kill Tallboys like that. I always see something new when watching someone else play dishonored
It's difficult to get the aiming right especially under pressure but it's definitely the most effective way
"Happy" to see even you had difficulties with the 'By My Hand Alone' achievement. It made me give up on 100%'ing this game, absolute torture.
I miss this Arkane. When they started implementing co-op (probably pushed by Bethesda) they started to lose their charm.
I'm dying to find out what you might think of the sequel.
Bruh...when do you sleep? Do you sleep? Did you make a deal with the outsider?? Oh no reason...no...i don't work for the overseers...why would you say that? Now what are your thoughts on bones? The whale variety?
What kind of monster uses underscore as a hotkey?
lol gaming keypad, you can map the keys on it to anything, more about where my fingers are than the actual key
Fun fact, It's actually impossible to finish a High-Chaos Stealth run on PC. The level where you get nabbed by Daud has a glitch where you get detected no matter what. Thankfully there's no achievement for that though.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this game omfg
I remember being torn when this game came out. It was a great game.... but it was incredibly short. And this was one of the first games that came out with a 59.99 price tag back when most games were 49.99. It was this whole 'oh this game is fun... wait it's done? I payed sixty bucks for a 12 hour game?' kind of thing.
