Very familiar with Friendship Bread. Made it when I was a young woman. To change it up I would fold in various fruits that were in season into the batter.
Oh that is so neat. I haven't been given a starter since I was a kid. Maybe I should have my daughter do it with her friends. I bet they would love that!
I am 62 years old and yes I did the friendship bread it was passed around through the church I believe I got a bag and then I spread it through our church and I forget who I got my bag from my starter bag ended up I sense found a starter on RUclips or saw young Google I think and I started doing it, but it didn’t come out as good as the one that I had gotten originally years ago
Yes...we all did the Amish Friendship bread starter. It was the best. I love your version...much quicker and no need to make starter. Anyway, it's all good. This bread makes your house smell great so always plan it ahead when you have people over to visit LOL Let me give y'all a tip I learned awhile back. Anytime you make quick bread or bisquits or muffins----after you get the batter into the pans and ready for oven let them sit for 15 min before you put into the oven. This activates the baking powder/baking soda and helps your batter to rise a bit and gives you nicer looking product. Try it, you'll see.
I can’t eat dairy. I add a tsp of vinegar or lemon juice to a cup of almond milk as a substitute for buttermilk. I guess a half tsp would work in half cup of plant based milk too.
Do a recipe you were American but when you do a recipe used two sticks of butter you got it clarified with two sticks of butter is, is that one cup of butter because in Canada and in other countries, they that are watching us they don’t have sticks of butter I have containers of butter, not sticks of butter they have blocks of butter, Rexha butter, but a brick has a lot more in it than obviously that does so you have to clarify how much that is is that one cup of butter or is that more or less? I think it’s probably more.

Thank you for putting the recipe in the description. It helps a lot. Great recipe. I shall certainly try it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yumm. Looks so delicious. Yes I remember that friendships bread. We made it last year because a lady at our church was giving away starters for it.

Glad I am not the only one!! It was so good.
Wow! New sub here! I recently made Coffee Cake on my page too and *your dish looks amazing!* Hope to stay connected my fellow chef! 😀
Looks good I wish there was a way to make it without buttermilk.
Is it the dairy?? 🤔
