Ok so I like the layout of the planner, and the goal sheets, but it is way over priced! This planner is way out of my budget!! I don’t like the lack of color. I’m a colorful, artsy person. This planner looks like something an analytical type A personality would use. I’m trying to get back to using a planner. My husband is Mr. Spontaneous and I have let go of my planning habits to accommodate for his lifestyle, but I’m trying to get my doula business off the ground and need to have a planner. I was looking at the Happy planner and love those but may order the arcs from staples.

I agree completely! Although I'm definitely a Type A, analytical person and I just ADORE the bright, happy colors of my Erin Condren haha! I love many things about the inkWELL Press planners but the price is too much in my opinion. My husband is the same way and I'm also trying to relax a bit about it. He loves going on random adventures and I try to just sit back and enjoy the ride!
That's great you are working on growing your business! Which planner are you currently using? Happy Planner is great if you love the disc bound system. They have adorable planners for an awesome price and I love that you can add pages to it for customization options. I also love the Hobonichi/Bullet Journal combo if you need a calendar and lots of pages for notes.
      Thanks so much for watching!

Jessica Torina // RubyDoobies I’m not currently using a planner. I haven’t used a good one in over two years. I had bought a dinky dollar store one last year and used it a little bit, but it’s all crappy now.

Jessica Torina // RubyDoobies I was just looking at the Erin Condren Lifebook planners. I think I might go with one of those. It looks like they are interchangeable also. More pricey than Happy planners but not near as pricey as the Inkwell. I know I do need to get my life more organized. Any suggestions on the Erin Condren planners? I like the horizontal for sure, I’d do hourly but I like to have space to write other things. The horizontal looks like it’ll work better for writing hourly appointments and other things too. I want to have a budget tracker section and maybe later add in a gas mileage tracker once I start getting more clients to doula for. I need to start menu planning better too. My girls are getting older and keeping me super busy with sports and college prep. I also want some sections for goal setting too, which is part of the reason I like the Inkwell, they have an awesome goalkeeper planner! Any suggestions you can give me will be so helpful. I’m a mom on a tight budget so when I buy something, I do it with thought and research to get the most out of my money. Thanks!!

Erin Conden is one of my all-time favorite planners and one I recommend the most. Here is the link to my review of the 2019 planner: ruclips.net/video/9BZcqYAv3Tg/видео.html
And here is a link for $10 off if you do decide to try Erin Condren: www.erincondren.com/referral/invite/jessicatorina0409
Even though I like to try and review lots of different planners the Erin Condren is one I always seem to come back to. I think the choice of format really just depends on how your brain works. I've always liked the vertical option because I don't have many appointments and I like to make lists. Plus, you can always label each vertical box something different every week if your needs change. One week could be "morning, afternoon, evening" and the next could be "work, home, kids" etc. The hourly is great if you have lots of appointments. You can also ignore the times and just use it as a list maker. The horizontal is good for if you need more space to write. All three layouts can be set up to have sections for meal planning, task tracking, appointments and more.
In the front of the planner there are 12 blank spaces for goal-setting and forward planning. The months also have note pages in-between them for budget tracking, mileage tracking, anything you can think of. They are just blank lined pages so you can set them up however you need. There are also blank pages in the back of the planner and a pocket that you could tuck a thin notebook into if you need even more room. I also love her planner pouch that can carry the planner, a notebook, stickers, and pens all zipped into the pouch. It's great for on the go.
If you need one day per page format she now has the Petite Planners that give you a whole day on a page. The petite planner breaks the year into 4 smaller booklets that can be housed inside of a travelers notebook style cover. That way you can keep 6 months or so of the dailies with you, plus a monthly insert, plus a blank notebook for extra notes. The petite planners also come in goal setting, meal planning, health tracking, etc. options so you could swap in one of those booklets as well and really customize it to your needs.
I know I just gave you a TON of information so if it's easier feel free to email me and we can chat more. I've reviewed dozens of planners and I'm quite obsessed so I can probably point you in the direction of whatever option you'd like to try haha! My email is: jmt.socialmedia@gmail.com. I hope that helps!

Your "beast" was cracking me up and "planning will never be cheap"... LMAO!! How true is that statement?!! Once again, your review was wonderful! Completely agree with everything you said about the paper, color and font. Now you gonna order another one?! GIIIIRRRLLLL!!! :) ;) :)

I love this planner. The only planner type I had not tried was a disc bound. I love the versatility of the disc bound. I have purchased IWP from her first planner offering. The paper is without match for quality. I like her color scheme this year but have thought she needs to offer a neutral color scheme, as well.

A neutral color scheme for this planner would be a game changer! It's so functional and useful but for some reason I'm hung up on the color scheme haha! I know it works so well for so many other people though. Thanks for watching!
