I’m a little over halfway with my second read. This time around I’m reading after reading Sanderson’s other series and can I say it really makes you enjoy the epigraphs more.
ROW greatly improved for me on re-read as I thought there was too much magical science stuff on first read. I appreciated it much more on my second pass.
The Mink surely has some supernatural ability in his escape endeavors. He could be holding the surge of transformation (Lightweaver or Elsecaller). He might be mixed Siah Aimian blood. Or he even could be a Sleepless crab creature. But there is definitely something up with his abilities to escape.
I've changed my mind. I found what the Mink is. Sort of. A shapeshifting creature of mythology. This passage is as soon as they get to Urithiru, just as Adolin and Sadeas meet. "Adolin watched for a moment as the highprince himself raised a lantern, inspecting a faded painting on the wall. A fanciful picture, with animals from mythology. He recognized a few from children’s stories, like the enormous, minklike creature with the mane of hair that burst out around and behind its head. What was it called again?" Sanderson, Brandon. Words of Radiance (The Stormlight Archive, Book 2) (p. 1067). Tor Publishing Group. Kindle Edition.
Not gonna lie, I’m not sure if I’d go as far as saying Sauron is straight up evil. I think Sauron has decent reasons for doing what he’s doing (the bloak goes about it all wrong, but I digress)
I'm just starting The Way of Kings tonight. Procrastinating my way through reading The Great Hunt has certainly backfired on me. 😭

The opening of rhythm of war really set the vibes for grungy, dreary, and war torn

Definitely a deep dive into the magic system! I loved it on the reread too!
Wind and Truth in 4 weeks!
Which Dragonsteel panels are you doing? Thanks!

I was totally thinking the same thing… more about the radiant stuff but we may be in for a reveal! ;)
I kind of like it if he doesn’t, he’s just really really clever and able to get around sneakily

Love the videos! (Just a heads up, in the thumbnail “cinematic” is mispelled) Thanks for helping us prepare for Wind and Truth!
Classic 😅 that’s what I get for making a thumbnail late at night!
Gavilar would not have been able to just say the words, it's also heavily about the intent behind them. The intent has to sync up with the ideal.
