there was definitely alot of popping on the maono. but at that pricepoint it's a bit expected. It is nice that the include the boom arm, pop filter, and shock mount. And the fact that they have realtech drivers is dope
In some cases yeah it may sound better than the Yeti, but if you are using high quality headphones you can hear more detail in the Yeti, which helps when editing the audio. In the end does it really matter? Not really, in the end most of the people who will listen to the audio in the end will most likely not care and can't tell the difference.
Well, I wasn't sure about this microphone, because in many videos that I listened to, it sounded differently every time. But this one sold me this thing. Thanks for the review!
This is a great video my guy. Love finding videos like these. Not nonsense, just clear tests and on point facts etc. makes a lot of decisions easy and takes out half of the effort for me lol. I’m currently using a Blue snowball with a virtual soundboard as well as a windscreen. I was using a pop filter but I had a cheap one and it was just too in the way and the windscreen did just about the same. For my videos and streams my snowball does well, but I’m thinking of maybe upgrading in the future. Do you think this Maono would be an upgrade from a snowball or a downgrade? I don’t really do VA work, more streaming/chatting/video making type content. Not sure if you have any experience with the snowball, but any advice/opinions would be great!
Just recurved this kit from Amazon, upgrading from a snowball. It might not be a whole lot better, but it most CERTAINLY is not worse. And the fact that it came with all those extra bits; how could you not jump on this deal?
Damn, and I thought the FiFine was the best budget mic. This review really helped me since I'm starting my channel and all I needed was a great cheap mic, thanks man 👍
Listening to the test on high res earbuds, the maoao is amazing for the price. I bought one today for 55$ on amazon. Cant wait to start my own asmr nose blowing channel.
You can also turn up the gain real time on the maono with apps and get closer to the mic to get that deeper effect he got when he did that on the Fi-fine
yes, i am using Maono AU A04 nearly an year, which is really a great microphone with excellent sound quality. But now they have the raised the price so high. That is not good.
I will jump on this deal! Blue Yeti is about $180 CAD which is insane. I remember when the Blue Yeti was only $100 and that's a huge price change. SO glad you made this video! Thanks Kommando!

just use a noise gate to take out background noise and or your video editing software should have a background noise can filter it out. then run it thru izotope nectar 3 element and run it tru dialoge podcast option
Will it be a good choice if I want to use it for e.g. keyboard typing sound, or musical instrument? I am currently thinking about getting this or Samson C01U Pro.
it seems you got a different shock mount than mine came with. the tw arms you squeeze to open the clamp for the mic were in the center of the ring and were contacting it so i had to remove them
I got the last maono with mute and minijack for half of that price. Guess they went cheaper. It doesn’t bring the arm thing though. It has a sturdy metal foot.
