mtkl23 dude why do you have to be such a prick about it, it’s not exactly easy to get no traces especially during a Skulls mission, and most people encounter them at the truck stop where you’re “meant” to encounter them where it’s open plains and difficult to hide
Note the radio broadcast from the P.T demo playing on the radio in that little building there. Throughout the game you can also hear the creaky ghost noise from the demo too. Nice touches.
Here I was grinding side-ops and lifting more prisoners thinking I NEED to have the second level of Cargo balloons this early in the game just to beat this one mission. Now THIS, this is awesome. Good one, Boss.

Not sure if i ever understood how the Skulls' AI worked in my time with the game. Are they like, zombies drawn in your direction? I was trying to stealth that part but their movement pattern seemed illogical (as in, they clearly know where I am, why aren't they just attacking me lol) At least it turns out that getting spotted by them is like a boss battle and you won't lose No Traces or anything for it :P
From my own experience yes, they are magically drawn towards you (by smell, maybe) in their zombie-like walk until they properly spot you, which triggers their combat mode. It's even more obvious in mission 2 (rescue Miller), if you wait past the bridge where you are when they show up they'll slowly come in your direction, go around them unseen and they'll turn over and start creeping up on you again. They are extremely moronic and will mistake a decoy for you every time, even if you're standing not far behind it though.

@@mr.battle20 how do you QCQ them? They move in group and get very aggressive and impossible get close once triggered. I haven't unlocked sleep grenades yet, so it was a painful hour trying to put them down with C4, Grenades and Rockets.
What I like with MGS5 it's how every players can found an unique way to beat the missions ( just like I remember how I beat MGS: GZ perhaps 50 times and all the time with different ways ), I didn't know you could use sleep grenade on them. :P

He was laying prone just out of their field of vision. Going prone makes you hard to spot. When approaching the truck, remember that they'll appear once you're within 30m of it. Plan your approach carefully.
i played this game on ps3 and it was a good port, i don't know how the ps3 can handle it, and i really enjoyed it, but watching these videos (specially this that is on pc) make me sad of not getting a ps4, or wait a little, when i was playing it i didn't notice but now these videos looks like in fast forward to me, the fps are like the double compared to the ps3 one! so much better :(

it is really great. Bloodborne and MGSV are the reasons I bought a ps4 this Christmas, and before that I was playing the MGS3 re-release for 360. The jump in graphics between MGS3 and 5 nearly made me fall off my chair
Yeah ps4 version is great too at 60fps 1080p.... It was playing ground zeros on ps3 and then seeing the ps4 version was what made me upgrade there and then.

I thought skulls were immortal so I extracted the truck without fighting them too (I didn't drive the truck just fulton extracted it). I noticed most of them do walk to you even when you're not actually spotted. Def a lot easier than taking them out.

This is the best way possible. Don’t wait for the tanks. The skulls spotted me and I had to use the mortar kinda machine and my rocket launcher to get rid of them. But I finally did it. Thanks

Just before this comment, I was playing this mission on a new save. The method used at the start was the only way I was able to complete the mission. Can't wait to have my wormhole again.
Replaying the game again, watching this because I JUST "finished it". I snuck in, used the invis camo to just fulton the tanks away, then finally tried to fulton the main truck. I did, then I left by shipping container. What I didn't realize is that the Skull''s immediately cut the fulton cable on the truck.
+Erwin Heiser Aim while prone (L1 on PS3) then hold the left stick in the direction you want to roll and press L3 (dash button) to start rolling. Its just as silent as crawling and faster.
+Erwin Heiser You have to aim with a weapon while prone, then you either tilt the left stick left/right or you may have to press the left stick down, then tilt it left/right
It's not hard. Just make sure to keep a safe distance from them. You want to lure them, but not trigger them. If you're prone, don't let them get any closer than 10m, or you'll trigger them.
I like to go in the gate next to the gap in the fence because you can walk right up to the other gate near the truck. immediately pick the lock and extract the truck then run away until you left hot zone.

There are 672 hours in 28 days. At this point the player had amassed 362 hours of play. That's insane.. 5.5 years later I'm still only at around 310 hours!
This technique alone didn't work for me: one of them always stayed behind and whenever I got in the truck he spotted me. But combining this with sleep granades worked like a charm! I was able to put a couple of them to sleep, and have the other pair follow me so that I could go unnoticed when I got in the truck
This was needlessly complicated. I came in with battle dress and d horse, extracted the truck and ran away from the skulls after they spotted me but I still got perfect stealth no kills and no traces. It was extreme difficulty too. Idk if I just got lucky but it worked.
Lol. I just lured the skulls a little away from the vehicle and engaged an air strike on them. But good move with the extraction. Wonder why I didn’t think of that.

You were probably in prone not between the building and the box instead next to the left of the electric box

+Erwin Heiser Rolling gives you the same amount of visibility as being prone while having the same speed as running at normal speed.
+Erwin Heiser read the hints in the loading screen
hold down the aim button hold down the sprint button tilt in the direction you want to roll
