I feel like half my shoots are spent clearing grass and brush before filming these days. The struggle is real! Good video, Andre!
Oooo RUclips car reviewer celebrity crossover 🎉
Andre is the best. Willing to take his truck in harms way for our entertainment.
Yes but we all know he will be trading it in the the near future for more views. It’s not like he’s keeping the truck for 20 years.
LOL😂 very dangerous course lol that course is a joke
Yes!
@@Jeeper_Creeper03 So what? It depreciates the trade in value so he's still putting something expensive in harm's way like the OP said. Half the guys that buy these trucks will just show them off in town and live at the car wash.
@user-fn7ju6hu9w yup. It's "his" truck but really for TFL.
Been following the TFL channel(s) since when they didn’t let Andre talk 😂
Lol! Me too! 19:04
Only Russian when checking brake temps.
LMAO Andre the Russian Mechanic 😂
Now he’s easily their best on-camera presenter. He could start his own channel if he wanted imo
14:30 Yikes, That's way deeper than I expected. There's plenty of times I would've eyeballed something just like that from the driver seat and sent it. Good reminder to get out and check.
Hey, guys, so glad you tested Andre's truck on the off-road course. Love the Colorado gonna be my next new vehicle big Thank you to all the TFL crew.
Thanks for the kind comment
Get an extended warranty if you plan to keep it long term.
@@DH-mf2lvGM is now giving the full sized trucks with the same 2.7 turbo 4 cylinder engine 6yrs/100K warranties starting for 2024 model years so hopefully next year they do the same in the Colorado and Canyon.
Andre looks so happy, like a 20yr old driving his first off road truck off road. I can't wait to do the same. I'm 43yrs old and have never owned a 4x4 truck, all of mine were and are mid sized GM 4x2 trucks and I want to get a Colorado Trail Boss in a few years and start to go off roading
Just a note: 2x4 is a piece of lumber. A 2WD truck is a 4x2. The first number is the number of wheels, the second number is the number of wheels that can be powered.
@@rockymountainjazzfan1822 thanks I'll adjust my comment. Appreciate the info
It's a lot of fun, just make sure to take a friend along and some good recovery gear.
Thanks Andre , David and Camera Ninja Alex 👏👏👏.....Happy Friday everybody ✌️ Have a good day....
I got my trailboss a few weeks ago. Its seems like most of the dealerships in my area ordered them with the 20inch wheels. I would rather have the 18s and MT tires.
I picked one up 2 weeks ago as well, came with cruise control and 18’s. 🎉
Same here
This is the video I've been waiting for! Respect to Andre for taking his new truck on such an overgrown trail. I do miss when you would go out on actual trails though, I really enjoyed seeing that scenery.
"My pit is overgrown" lol amazing!!
Gotta say, the new Colorado looks so good. Personally I just can’t get past the not having immediate access to physical switches for headlights, wipers, etc.
Wipers and cruise control are on the left stalk. Lights are in the infotainment system. I alway use Auto lights, so not a big deal to me. Auto high beam is yet to be determined though. The setting is in the infotainment system, but manual high beam is on the left stalk if you decide to row you own.
Andre you rock. I love that you know it is a truck and werent mad about the bumper. Nice.
I’ve been considering getting a Trail Boss, so I’ve been waiting for an off-road video of it! Would also love to see it on a trail or two. Maybe up against something else.
These are the real, authentic videos. Can I have some more, please. Exciting, interesting and entertaining. You're rooting for me. Keep it up!
Andrea, I'm a Ford guy & probably always will be, but I've gotta say I love your truck.
Some people rag on the G80 but I have a first Gen colorado sport with the 5 cylinder and a bit of nitrous back in the day. I put that G80 through hell and a half and it never gave me any problems. I still have it too 😂
That Colorado is such a good looking truck! I think Chevy knocked it out of the park... especially compared to the Ranger. The Ranger is very capable, but just can't get to liking the exterior styling. I'm also liking that new 2.7 that GM is using. Great video!!!!!!
Truck is not about Looks, it’s about its capabilities!!!
I just picked up a Colorado, but I don't think the Rangers look that bad. I'm just not sure which EcoBoost motors I can trust.
I'm sure Nathan is proud of the way you plowed through his crack!😅
Another great video by TFL. Andre, you are the man taking your own beautiful Colorado through the course. Good job sir.
That’s a nice looking, capable truck Andre!
I saw a bunch of brand new Colorados on a car hauler while getting diesel. They look awesome. Chevy needs to make a crew cab long bed.
For the ranch if you wanted to clean the weeds/overgrow but didn’t want to hire people/do it yourself see if someone rents goats in your area. In about 2-3 days those goats will have your ranch cleaned out!
Andre
You were missing an important piece of equipment to put the finishing touches on your Trail Boss challenge course!
You needed a hammer to compliment the sickle you were using! ;)
As always stay safe and healthy!
Ron
sythe?
I do wish that they would go back to offroading videos on actual trails...
GM killed it with the new Colorado/canyon. Can’t wait to get mine in a couple years.
Get extended warranty if you are going to keep a GM product long term.
Check out the Colorado fan forum if you want to keep up with the good and bad about the new Colorado and Canyon. I am waiting a few years too to get a Colorado Trail Boss as they will fix some bugs, and hopefully add some stuff to them
I'm impressed the Colorado tail boss is pretty capable.
Did good and scratched it up so now you can try anything and not worry 😁. Make me wanna try the course in my Hummer H3!!!!
Just bought mine, all black. Can’t wait to have a free day to test it out completely
You would have a lot better approach angle if you took off that stupid air dam 😂
Yes!!! Read my mind!
Everyone knows that. The question becomes, take it off before it rips other things with it off or leave it on until it rips itself off and see how much damage it takes with it. 😜
Please do ranger comparison, thanks Andre
Alex is definitely the guy you want spotting you.
Cant tell if this is a joke
@@FreeRangeLemon No. He knows what he's doing. I'd have full trust in that guy.
Andrey's truck IS A SUPERB TRUCK right out of the box! Those Chevy Colorado Trail Bosses can do 4x4 Offroad just fine and the price of it is pretty good for what you get ($40,000 USD) which is sure better than spending $60,000+ USD for the full-size trucks. I would get front AND back 6061 series heavy duty aluminum bumpers and full height and full width bush bars with front and back WARN winches!
What I would do however, is buy some 3/16ths inch thick plates of 6061 Series Aluminum and bolt them to the ENTIRE underbody to protect the important parts from rock damage! Add some small ZINC blocks bolted to the aluminum parts to use as a sacrificial anode so that bi-metallic corrosion (i.e. Galvanic Corrosion) does not occur between the truck's steel parts and the aluminum parts of your NEW underbody aluminum skidplate structure and new bumpers and bush bars!
For less than $2000 bucks and some welding experience, EVERYTHING that Andrey needs for his Raptorized or Bisonized Trail Boss truck can be had to turn it into a TRAIL MONSTER!
P.S. The CruiseControlStore and JEGS have cruise control parts kits AND 3rd party skid plate kits and bush bar/bumper/winch kits for the Colorado!
V
Had my truck one month 9500klm. I drive tons of gravel and off road. Wish they added mud flaps factory also just needs a little more lift and push button traction control.
Idk if it’s just me but the only time I’ve ever seen the G80 locker used is on this channel which I think is pretty cool.
Good to see it plowing through, now if you just had cruise control, maybe Nathan's crack wouldn't have been so bad. Sorry André, sore subject! 😄Great video guys!
Hey guys, running the course in Andre's stock Chevy is informative and fun. Most of us aren't going to buy an already expensive truck and then spend more on suspension and big wheels and tires. It's good to know what a truck will do straight out of the box. Thank you.😊
Andrey , your wearing me out 😂 love the color ... Urine yellow
You did a good job of making people believe you actually were considering taking Tommy's demise. LOL There is no chance you were going to risk mashing your air dam, bumper and all that low hanging fruit in a new truck on that obstacle. But it was convincing for those that don't know the course. lol
The Trailboss is likely the best midsize truck package overall
People underestimate the G80 and trash talk it. It's still leaps above all those 4WD truck with no lockers at all. It's a good balance.
You need TFL goats ! I bet David can herd them.
Putting the trail in trail boss I like it
That truck was more than capable of going thru the rest of the course. It could def use some aftermarket steel bumpers front and rear tho.
Andrei, I am very happy for you that you are enjoying your new truck. Looks great!
A brave one you are , thanks for doing that course. G80 are so problematic and unpredictable .my g80 gave it up I replaced it with a dura- grip from Yukon gear
This is what it’s all about. Phenom rig and ride!
I have a 2022 Colorado Z71 with a leveling kit and it will easily do everything I've seen the new model do except look as pretty. That's a great-looking truck. I'm going to wait a year for Chevy to work out any kinks it might have and then trade mine in on one.
I hope Andre checked himself for ticks. Perfect time and weather for ticks in the foothills.
They must not have chiggers either in CO lol
@@doublebackagain4311 Used to live in Colorado--never got any chiggers there. Plenty in KS, OK, TX, etc. Ticks are way common in the Colorado foothills in spring and early summer.
Andre…check ur self b4 u reck urself😂
That's a tiny scratch on the under side of the bumper, 😆 🤣. Thanks Andre, drive on.
Loved seeing this. Thinking of getting one, on the fence.
You guys should get a sponsorship deal with DR Chipper or Stihl...
You guys need some goats (or some happy yaks) to come in and munch on all that grass and brush.
Sheryl Crow said it best: The first dent is the hardest, Andre I know. But it's time to wheel again.
Like all of these videos, it’s more about the driver then the truck…..your off roading so drive like it. Still love the info you put out! Thanks
Andre for president!
Andre is my favorite Russian.
That Scythe is pretty hard to use if the blade is even slightly dull Andre. E for effort though
Awesome video!
wonder how it does against the new nissan frontier
Nice truck, Andre picked the best trim model of the group with 9.5" ofclearance over stock 7.9". ZR2 costs too much more for an extra 40 lb-ft of torque and 10.7" of clearance. I'm not sure why the ZR2 claims to have an extra inch of clearance as the 22" wheels have 33" tires over Andre's 32" tires. 1" tires only give .5" of lift or clearance.
With paper license plate tag!!! This is awesome.
Manscaped was my favourite TFL sponsor
That turbo sounds amazing in that truck
The Trail Boss did a pretty good job for ya Andre.
You know what dosent get beat up?
When you buy a base level truck and put a 6"BDS for cheaper than a fancy pants sticker package.
Got to love that GM quality. The sound tuning of that squealing power window rolling down is sublime. Can't wait to hear how it sounds like after the truck truly gets "broken" in.
Time for some steel bumpers!😂
Like The Wright Bothers, first Astronauts or Cosmonauts, Andre putting his life to risk for us all!
The way he was holding the weed eater got me rolling
Дизайн пикапов Шевроле, на мой взгляд, великолепен.
Вообще, очень нравится такой класс автомобилей.
My tundra can make that in 2wd. Lol I have no lockers or Gearing.
Just tuned and flashed and it run’s amazing 🔥
2015 SR5 Tundra full suspension on my set up
I dont blame Andre for taking it slow with a new truck but if he wants to take it off road on a regular basis i would ditch the front air dam, get 70 series tires and locking diffs. this would make it a true off roader and u would be able to plow thru most of that stuff w more momentum. stopping in that deep stuff almost got you stuck but the trail boss still made it out to its credit and the limited slip diff. its just not a hard core trail rig like the ZR2. its more for snow traction and camping on back country fire roads.
Industrial weed killer from tractor supply or Rural king it’s like 100 bucks a jug but mix in a sprayer pick up a electric one from ryobi at Home Depot and spray that property down man weed eating the entire property all summer is crazy!
Should be getting one in the next couple months
Andre a few things
1) you may want to take that air dam off and put the skid plates package on
2) spray the trails to kill the grass so you can see
Love those wheels
The turbo whistle on that motor is insane
No cruise control is crazy. This is 2024 FFS. Thought that was standard like twenty years ago😂
I'm waiting for the 24 Canyons to come out. Production run supposed to start Oct 30th. Hopefully the additional warrenty they are giving the larger trucks with the 2.7 turbo will also be given Canyons and Colorado
Looks like you need some trail maintenance for sure.
I like the colorado except for the cylinder deactivation it comes with.
Me watching, yelling Send it Andre! Send it!
Yes!! Lol
Thanks for all the colorado videos. not sure if this was discussed at all but i bought the work truck that doesn't have the welded bits to half lower the tailgate. Why is it an option to have a feature designed to do work? Not as bad an oversight as the cruise control though.
It is a Cheap Heap Ends Very Young after all!
Awesome, been waiting for this. You go Andre.
I think when you went through the mud pit all those plants gave you more traction! 🌴🌴🌴🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It's going to be interesting to see the new Tacoma mid-range trim take on this same stretch sometime (hopefully soon while the swampy terrain is still there. ) really I think this particular truck needs taller tires, and more lift. ..like the ZR2?
Nathans crack- Cracked me up!
time for new bumpers with a better departure angle.... ;-)
First you had to ''manscape'' the course then you skipped the mud just so the ''Trail Puss'' ( just kidding ) wouldn't get dirty. The Buhanka would have done just as good.🤣
MPG airdam removal would be huge!
You need to make a new video with your John Deere compact tractor mowing down the weeds on the course. At least I know I'd watch it.
I love seeing this truck on here. I'm hoping to replace my '13 Grand Cherokee Laredo with one of these new compact trucks next year. Right now for me, I'm most interested in this or the Canyon.
I love this video. It also makes me real glad I have the e locker on my ranger. I just know I would hate having to rely on the g80 catching after some wheel spin
That's tick country here in Michigan...
love the trailboss vids keep 'em coming pls!
Hey Roman! Go buy a brush hog and clean up yer property
I really like the G80 locker in my Colorado. I won't buy another truck without it.
😂😂😂 dont wana mess up the earth 😂😂😂 dude what 🤔
I just keep wondering how many ticks you got from tromping through all that tall grass.
So a mid grade midsized off road tuck did ok? Makes sense
I feel like it did do really good. From my experience off-roading, it takes some driver-truck bonding to how how to overcome a hard obstacle.
@@TheZR2Kid yeah I can't wait to get a Colorado Trail Boss in a few years and get into medium off roading. It will be my first 4x4 so looking forward to it
@@RossMalagarie That’s great! So happy for you.
