FYI. The reason they put the valve stem for the wheels in the center of the rim is to allow the use of tubes. If you cut a tire, you cant patch or plug it. But if your tubeless rim has a valve stem in the center, you can install a tube and be on your way. If the valve stem is off center, you can not use a tube in and emergancy. So this is exactly how you want to see a tubeless rim to be made.
Thanks for the detailed walkthrough, best video so far in terms of detail. We bought TWO! Indeed, why wait, this bike was thought out very well and CFMoto is taking the lead here - we used to be Honda fans but they haven't come out with anything new, despite their DCT being amazing but they refuse to make smaller CC with DCT - so we move to CFMoto. BTW CFMoto - DCT this 450 baby and you got yourself a jewel :)
hello from France, thank you for the very informative video, I reserved the 450 for its release in April at my motorcycle dealership, and thanks to you I learned a lot, well done, Antoine
Great, I'm happy for you and I'm glad you found the video useful. I bet the wait is a very difficult time, but I'm sure you'll be happy soon. Congrats again. Cheers
Good Video. Looks like a game changing bike for the money. All the competition for off road Adventure Bikes are single cylinder. This is more focussed than the Honda NX 500 and has higher quality suspension and specs and 8-10kg lighter.
The ABS switch is a godsend, i own the Versys X300 and it doesn't have a switch for that, if i want to keep the speedometer working but not the ABS, i have to take off the front wheel sensor, or do some trickery on whilst on the center stand. I like that it comes with USB ports, 2 light bulbs and that switch, i dislike the screen placement because I've gotten used to the digital / analog combination in the Versys x300, i believe the tacometer is very beautiful, i dislike it all being on a display, but that's where tech is moving towards.
These days they are all using premium parts. Only time will tell but cfmoto has been making good bikes for year now and are selling globally. I'm sure they know that in the current competitive space, they cannot compromise on quality.
Thx for the detail. Next time you’re in ask these guys when we can realistically expect this model to arrive in Canada? I’m trying diligently to hold off a new bike purchase in expectation of this thing!
Nice to see a detailed look in English. I do disagree slightly though, yes you will have to got out and but extra accessories as that bash plate is made of cheese. Even CF Moto's own marketing shows an image of it smashed in. The hand guards will also need replacing for any adventure or adv touring. Overall, it looks good though and the price is right. Shame there's not much to remove to get the weight down. Some of the service intervals in the manual are questionable for touring too.
The weight reduction potential is another concern for me. The Himalayan while heavier, you can remove so much weight that essentially becomes 15kg lighter than this one... Still no idea which one to buy
*definitely* ask for the highest seat , because fo what it seems from many videos -you will have to change it .. idk how long aftermarket will catch up on that, so try talking to a CFMOTO representative
Thank you for the walk around, but just to make everything clear , the cb500x has duble break at front, so this is not the same , thank you for the video.
Thanks and noted. My own 2019 honda cb500x has single brake rotor in front. From the 2020 model onwards, they introduced the double breaks in front. Cheers.
Thank you! Trying to get info on this. Waiting for the new KTM ADV390 and Honda NX500 to come out. This could be a contender, but i'm worried about 3rd party support. I know CFMoto build for KTM so i excpect the quality to be good.
Thanks for the review! - I rode it briefly and I really liked it but for the price 31,500 rmb I feel like it’s lacking features (center stand and crash guards should be standard) especially compared to the QJ600 SRTX ; 30,000rmb with heated seats & grips, center stand, crash bars, Dual Brembo front brakes, proper hand guards ( not plastic), 82BHP (still trying to find more info…). Haven’t seen our ridden it yet but I’m sure it’ll be showing up soon. It’s a great time for new bikes!!
I think they might have options for those extras for more money. Ba yeah, some other brands come with more as standard. Even its bigger brother the 800mt comes with a lot as standard.
Its truly a shame that this bike is for suited for short riders. I am over 6’1 and doesn’t look good on me. I would have bought this if it was suited for taller riders
Amazing how much detail one can see in these high res videos. I can't help but notice this bike is currently with its wraps on in the showroom and yet the finish is just okay... It is certainly sub par compared to a Honda CB500X or a BMW G310GS or a KTM 390 Adventure. So in my opinion it is a chinese motorcycle with an average finish. You are getting what you pay for. Great probably for thrashing and almost over hyped and marketed at the moment. It will not have an impact in the market like the BMWs of the class for example and will be forgotten soon despite high sales volumes initially.
Pretty sure it's still in China. The cards attached to bikes is in Chinese. The guys in the back are speaking Chinese. Even outside looks like China. It's still good to get a look around in English. The translations of Chinese videos can be very hard to understand.

Yes, I like that feature too. It's there to use if you need it, versus, you don't have it and are stuck with constant ABS.

You're right. Manufacturers cut cost sometimes and unfairly expect buyers to make modifications post purchase. Overall, still a good deal though.

CFMOTO is the better choice 💯 . KTM 390 is built in India by Bajaj low quality . The Honda is just a cb500x with new headlight and fairings.

Plz mention the height of bike does it suits shorter riders and what about ENGINE power hp
U can Google that shit in 5seconds
44hp
how's the built quality?

I don’t understand the CF400-8A sticker. It’s a 450. Misprint from the factory?
I'm not sure either. It's probably a coding system for their bikes.
