It's a bloody great looking machine. We might have to look at making some parts for it ;)
Yeah get on it. A bash plate like the T700 were it protects the rear linkage. The rear shock has an adjuster on the lower front that would be venerable. Regards FPPete.
Awesome looking bike. I have watched many reviews on this bike now and my main concerns are fuel consumption and maintenance out in the field. Also alot of plastic on this bike compared to say the new Himalayan 450. So durability on the plastics will be interesting. The price point is around the same as the Himalayan 450 which doesn't surprise me. I'm still undecided on which bike I will purchase but I'm a patient guy. I'll give it another couple of months before I lay down my cash on my next adventure bike. Thankyou for sharing.
Great comment, all reasons I chose the himi.
@@jay-vo7rx Great choice. It's looking like the Himi for me too.
I just ordered a Himi on Saturday But time will tell which one is the stayer either way they'll both get you out on the trails for some fun and hopefully home again
Yeah I’m waiting to test ride both. Some owners in the Phillipines reporting 19km/l which is quite a bit worse than the tenere 700.
Great Comment Todd, Yeah both bikes are new with unknown reliability. It will be interesting as time goes by. The CFMOTO is an Adventure Bike, were as, I would put the Himalayan as more of a Dual Sport. Regards FPPete.
Well done Pete! A good close up, detailed look and see. I checked out that 450MT, and it has alot to offer. Time will tell, but hopefully it makes purchaser's happy. Thanks for sharing Pete!! 👍😁
Thanks heaps Bob, Yeah hopefully it's as good as it looks. Regards FPPete.
This bike seems to tick all the boxes. And it looks fantastic! Thanks for posting this, Pete. As a guy in my 70s, it might be my Unicorn.
Hi Bill, Yeah, If it turns out to be a good reliable bike it will certainly be appealing to a lot of riders, no matter their age or skill level. Regards FPPete.
They call it the Ibex 450 here in the US
@@billcotton1551 Wow, thanks for that Bill, Strange name. Regards FPPete.
This old bloke is picking his up in 2 weeks. Dropping 50kgs from the F850 GSA. Hoping that this will be a tad easier to pick up. Specs look ideal for me, time will tell.
Won't you miss cruise control? My wrists are shot , can't do without it.
@@arnoldtm31 I dont drive on so long drives that my wrist's have any issue with not have a cruise control lol and i had a Triump 900 Rally Pro and i never used the criuse control at all, and the bike was sold after 3 months to heavy and unconrol bar for me! So now it will be this Cfmoto or a Honda 500 NX .
Congrat's on your new purchase, Hope it serves you well. The lighter weight gives you way more confidence when riding. Regards FPPete.
It has cruise control.......salesman told me.😮
Thanks Pete. I ordered mine a while ago. Should be here soon and I am super excited to try it out. Looks like a good package and by all accounts, it appears to be as good as it looks on paper!
Fantastic, Congratulations on your purchase. Let the Adventure Begin. I can't wait to test ride one. Regards FPPete.
Great vid Pete. I sat on one at MCAS Dandenong today also. Very nice bike, like a mini T7. Felt light too but it had no fuel or oil. If it was 175kg wet it would be winner. Bargain for what you get.
Fantastic you got to see the bike in the flesh. Yeah 175kg wet would have been nice. Regards FPPete.
Thanks for the heads up! I actually took that one for a test ride recently after getting ADR approval. It rode brilliantly except for the slack throttle cable made the ride a bit on-off in turns. Nothing major that some spanners can’t fix. Have you test rode one?
Hi Steve, Glad you got to test ride the 450 MT. I am yet to ride it, but I'm hoping I will get a press bike to test on and off road soon. I can't wait. Regards FPPete.
G’day Pete, Wow what a smick awesome looking adventure bike definitely looks the part, I’ll be keen to check one out, fantastic vid mate cheers Mick
Thanks heaps Mick, It sure is a good looker. Hope it delivers in reliability. Regards FPPete.
G'day Pete, what an exciting time for adventure riders, with all these different varieties coming onto the marketplace, plus the added bonus of a great pricing structure, I'm sure theyll sell quite well Great detailed first look . Cheers 🍻
Hi Will, Spot on mate. Hopefully the 450 is reliable, has no issues, and spare parts easily available, It will certainly bring the CFMOTO brand to the attention of a lot of riders. Regards FPPete.
I think this bike will come to be seen as a watershed moment for Chinese bikes & will sell like hot cakes. A game changer for sure.
Yes I agree, Hopefully it will be reliable with no issues, because who doesn't like a hot cake. Regards FPPete.
Once everyone starts getting these on the road the hottest RUclips comparison review will be this vs the new Himalayan. Geez you get a lot for your money hey. I hope everyone who buys these new bikes have an awesome experience because some may think they’ve taken a risk site unseen. But for under $10k you have to roll the dice right? Great little review mate.
Thanks heaps for your comment, You said it all. Regards FPPete.
The MT800 has just come out in Britain and a friend of mine The Bingley Wheeler just bought one and it looks marvelous so when the 450 arrives here one could be arriving in my garage, excilent first look FP :)
Thanks heaps A.R. I cant wait to throw a leg over one. Check out BAZZ66 on RUclips, Local rider here has just purchased one, and has put up some vids. It sounds Sweet. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures thanks Pete 😊 I'll have a look 😀
Considering the price, they’ve done a far better job than Yamaha and Honda. The specification only lacks cruise control, otherwise well done CFMoto. Now they need to bring an exact same bike out, but with a 600cc engine, with 60hp and cruise control. 👍
Time will tell, if it’s reliable and well screwed together.
Yes Time will tell, If the 450 MT proves a reliable, durable bike it will be a big seller over the years, and I'm sure KTM will produce a version as well. Regards FPPete.
Just a few kg heavier than a DR. Well not to bad anyway 😂 I saw a bunch of reviews from the Philippines launch and reviewers get together. Those guys luked it pretty much.
Yeah it's heavy, but it is a twin Adventure bike. Can't wait to ride it. Regards FPPete.
I've been wondering why Kawasaki never made a KLR500 twin. It makes zero sense to put a single cylinder engine on a modern streetbike, because a parallel twin is orders of magnitude more rideable for highway driving.
Premium single cylinder bikes just can't compete. Listen to the reviews of just how insanely happy and excited people are about the CF Moto 450 twin. A twin is a whole new riding experience that is far more exciting.
The problem is, they used to build dozens of small twin cylinder enduros, 50 years ago. Now they only build enormous twins or tiny singles and nothing in between.
Remember the SL350 Honda enduro? Or the Honda CB360T screaming banshee? I had a 1977 XS400 Yamaha twin and it was the best enduro I've ever owned, I took it into the woods daily, and also on really long highway rides. It's a mystery why they stopped making these amazing small displacement twins.
Great Comment, The Manufacturers sure make strange decisions. Honda is committed to all Electric in the future, So who knows what the motorcycle industry will look like. Regards FPPete.
Great shop
Yes, They are helpful, and price match as well. Regards FPPete.
Looks pretty good 👍
It sure does, and they seem to be selling a few. Hopefully it is as good as it looks. I'm still waiting to get my hands on it for a test ride. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures will be interesting to see the outcome. Looking forward to the clip when it arrives. 👍
Perfect bike for adventure
It sure is looking that way. Thanks for your comment. Regards FPPete.
Definitely my next purchase
They are selling like Hot Cakes. Very Popular choice for the price. Regards FPPete.
It looks pretty good, the sub frame looks pretty solid for luggage attachment. It will be interesting too see how this bike handles our tough Australian conditions like the Simpson, ruff rocky terrain and long corrugated dirt roads. Do you know anything about the motor ? Is it an engine that has been tried and tested in any other bikes ? Or it a completely new design on the market ?
Thanks Danny, CFMOTO are running the 450 in 2 other models in their line up. The 450NK & 450SR, Both road bikes. The MT has been de-tuned by 10% for more low end Torque. Time will tell if CFMOTO and Royal Enfield have done a good job of these new models. Regards FPPete.
Would love this bike next to my fjr 1300
Yeah it sure will fill your Adventure Bike needs. Regards FPPete.
Thats the price of a second hand yamdasakivarna ...really sorted traveller
Cant wait to get mine
Congratulations on your new bike, I'm sure you will have many Adventures together. Hope you don't have to wait too much longer. Regards FPPete.
This is a dr650 killer
Ha Ha, You can't kill a DR650, they are bullet proof. For an Adventure Bike, the CFMOTO sure ticks the boxes. Regards FPPete.
Looks very good! Several kgs lighter than the new Himalayan too!
Correct me if I'm wrong but the 450 mt don't come with a crash bar, toolkit, center stand as standard right? I've also seen a video of someone reducing the weight to jus 165kgs.
Hi Peter, It sure does look good. The Himalayan is carrying a few extra's that adds to it's weight. Regards FPPete.
Your right, the Himalayan is loaded with a few add On's. Regards FPPete.
Very nice Bike... here in indonesia the prize is more expensive about 15.000 Australian Dollar...
Thanks for that, Is the Himalayan a similar price to the CFMOTO 450 in Indonesia?
There's a standard 4 year warranty on the 450MT in Europe.
Wow that's interesting, maybe Australians are harder on bikes than those in Europe. Regards FPPete.
Goog looking bike , looks reasonable 👌 at a good price. Does your camera have fish eye lense or image stabilisation . Maybe play with the settings. Looks like you used action canera.
Thanks for your comment. I was using a Samsung phone to video. Regards FPPete.
Come to Brazil please!
I hope the CFMOTO 450 does make it to Brazil, Would be a good market for it. Regards FPPete.
I think the high fuel consuption is high, we need lighter 250 cc version with similar specs
it's high indeed
nah we don't, crf300L, Voge 300 rally and BKX300 (if ever released) are fine, we need this improved in any lacking areas , I believe most ppl want a dual sport (long adjustable suspensions, good ground clearance, light, big wheels) with good top speed, 250cc will not have good top speed, neither traveling speed on road.
For an Adventure bike I think a 250 would be too small. I will be keen to see what the fuel consumption is. Thanks for your comment, Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures I'm on break in and it's struggling to get 20kpl atm, hopefully after 1st/2nd service it would go down.
@@metalsadman That's interesting, The Spec sheet says 350km from 17.5L which is 20kpl. So if you ride it hard it will use more. My DR650 gets 20kpl, T700 gets 21kpl. Looks like fuel economy is not great. The Himalayan gets 25kpl. Regards FPPete.
Very good looking bike!
It sure is! I hope it delivers a great reliable Adventure Bike. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures I’m very interested in how it behaves on the highway at a speed of 130 km/h?
@@romakorshunov2880 Hopefully I will test ride one and see what it can do.
Great looking bike! 👍
I think so too! Very T700 like. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures Agreed! I just picked up a 24’ T7 as they are finally in showroom’s in the US.
Honeymoon stage right now but I’m very happy to finally have the T7.
@@pinkiewerewolf The T7 is a fantastic bike, super reliable. I sure love mine.
@@FULLPELTAdventures That was one huge reason I went with the T7. I see a lot of reviewers doling out criticism toward the T7, saying other bikes are better. Thing is, none of those bikes have the reliability the the Yamaha has , combined with the capability.
I’m coming off a KTM 890 Adventure S for the T7.
I e watched your T7 videos over and over, just reinforcing my decision to get the T7. 👍
Thanks for watching my videos. The big problem with motorcycles is that we are all different. Height, weight, ability, financial situation, likes, dislikes, and brand preferences, etc. My opinion, could be totally different from yours on the same bike. Congrats on your T7, and enjoy the hassle free and reliable riding it delivers.
Question , does a 6' 2"/ 187cm person fit? is the knees angle bad for long rides?
There's an option rally seat which brings it up to 850 or 870mm (not sure which). I'm the same height and have ordered one.
Try and test ride one when you can, that should answer your question. I would hate to give you the wrong advice. Regards FPPete.
@@RandomPunter-xo9tx Nice! happy riding!
Ok, so why can you buy one? Ive had one on order since xmas.
This bike was a non-ridable demonstrator. The first customer order's have not arrived yet. They are expected in the next few weeks. If you put an order in now, it would be a 2-3 month wait, so July-August. That's here in Victoria, Australia. Regards FPPete.
can you use an triple tree front paddock stand on these bikes?
I think you can use a paddock stand, but I do need to check that. Possibly call the Dealer, they may be able to help you. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures got hold of them and the answer was this cant use them because the front brake line is bolted across the hole it goes into lol, thought u might like to know
I only se 1 fail on this bike and that is that it have only 1 singel brake on the front weel, it should been two!
It's all about price, however with a 4 piston front caliper, I reckon that will be good enough for the 450. Regards FPPete.
4 year warranty in the UK 👌
Thats Interesting. Is it unlimited Miles as well? In Australia it's 3 Years/Unlimited KM. Regards FPPete.
5 in the Netherlands, unlimited 😮
Chose RE Himalayan, looks like air filter etc a nightmare to service. Coming off a trk502x, nightmare to work on.
And the oil filter on the Himalayan is a hell too as i have seen and a special one too so you can't use any omc oil filters.
You have to remove the tank on the Himalayan to get to the air filter.. I hope this is easier than that
@@eddale5557it’s the same filter as the 411 Himalayan, available everywhere
Just looked at the CFMoto 450mt owners manual and looks like you only need to take the seat off to get to the air box which is a big win over the himi
@@slakk5093 yep big reason i chose this over transalp(horrible airbox placement), just 2 hex screws to remove the snorkel and slide the air filter element out/in. i like to diy usual maint so that's a win.
Is it time to sell XT660Z ?
No Way, Don't sell the XT, Great bike. Bullet proof Yamaha. Regards FPPete.
The vibration on video gives me headache...
So sorry about that, I need to be more aware of my camera's limitations. Hope you enjoyed the Vid. Regards FPPete.
Are they CFMOTO dealer?
Hi Steven, Yes MCAS Keilor East in Melbourne is a CFMOTO dealership. Regards FPPete.
This or the 2025 Ktm 390 adventure?
My advice is to test ride both if you can. The KTM had been around for a while and is a proven machine. The cfmoto sure looks good but unproven. Consider air filter access and service costs.
@@FULLPELTAdventures sounds like a game plan, thank you!
The 450MT will eventually kill off the KLR.
You may be right, Lets hope Kawasaki come back with a counter punch. Regards FPPete.
@@FULLPELTAdventures yeah they slacking where's the friggin versys 400x/500x zzz.
So much glossy plastic everywhere on the bike. 😮😢
Not sure that's any different to a T700 which has glossy plastic tank covers rather than just making a tank out of a finished piece. Or KTM 790/890 with glossy plastic trims (I've just had to replace one), or the new BMW 900Gs etc.. Of course not much glossy plastic on the RE450.
Yes, you are right. For the bikes you mentioned brand perception and/or brand image works for them in their favor. On a chinese bike it just looks very cheap. Maybe in 25 years time if cf moto is still popular it may not be the case.@@defylifeadventure
Some crash bars will help protect those plastics. So hopefully they will become available. I do like the look and plastics on this bike. Everyone has different opinions. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I like you comment below.
Good opportunity to wrap it.
Looks like any other toys r us bikes om the market, the downside is that there is no way in hell you can get spare parts for it when (not if) it breaks down( just as bad as ktm and bmw) , and maaan all that plastic, 😢
Good price will sell bucketloads
Thanks for your thoughts, only time will tell if your right or wrong. 3 year warranty will help with any issues. Regards FPPete.

Thank You. Regards FPPete.
Just ride and chat please
When one becomes available to test ride, I sure will. Regards FPPete.
T7 clone...
Yeah it sure has a lot of similarities to the T7, which is a good thing. Regards FPPete.
