Enjoyed your sarcastic humor, little brother! From an old man in South Africa that also plays with cars🙂
Thank you! I enjoy seeing all the cool stuff you build down there in South Africa!
@@CarterAutoRestyling us real car guys are the same all over the planet🙂👍
Small world! Subscribed to your channel too!😁👍
@philmickey7247 thank you Sir 😊
Me two also from South Africa. I shall seek your channel after this cool one 😊
I'm just one guy, but I do watch them all. Love seeing the cat mix ins.
Thank you George!
I'll keep watching no matter what time of year it is
Thanks Brian!
Florida here. I need these videos to get through the long, long hot summer that we have coming up. The walk from one’s air conditioned home to air conditioned car leaves you drenched in sweat. 🥵
Sounds like a valve may be sticking open. Watch that cold war motors guy, he works on a lot of flathead 6's.
I don't know about that Coldwarmotors guy. Seems like kind of a shady character!
@@CarterAutoRestyling maybe, but he did sell you a one owner pristine condition farm truck.
@@shadetreemechanicracing22 and it was running when parked... allegedly
The chicken puppet seems to think that the truck is his... He seems very enthusiastic! A good addition to the team.
"I wouldn't sponsor me , either!" You definitely made my day !!! 🤣🤪🥴
I love your humor that dry style reminds me when I had something to laugh about😅
It’s quite something to have made a channel with such a fan base. I too once laughed. Ah, what a minute that was.
This rust remover is a great prep to bondo! 2 sponsorships in 1 shot
The gangster car
A very underestimated channel. Thanks.
Estonia cheers you brother, sheetmetal work is painful art that doesnt get appretiated enough...!!!
Flathead for the win! Be good to do a youtube vote on "Guess the compression".
Rust removal product tip, left for dead flathead going flub-flub-flub, and CHICKEN PUPPET!! Quality entertainment.
Nice job getting that flat head going!
Real Men, rode on "Chickenwire Seats"... 💪💪💪
If you subscribe and hit the all video notifications you won't miss any videos
Let me guess, you recently purchased some Google stock.
I think the flat head would be a cool addition to the custom nature of the chicken truck, and a nod to its Pontiac tush.
That car and I, are the same age.
That's a rare 53 or 54 Pontiac Submarine! Add a magnetic oil drain plug and fill with rotella 4 oil. It will repay you with love and torque you didn't expect.
lol the hubcaps are still holding the wheels on-amazing considering wheel covers are as useful as engine covers and bumper stickers
What a win on a nasty piece.
I am surprised that engine started never mind that you were able to drive the beast!! Nice work Kyle!!
put some plastic warp on after you put on the rust goop keeps it from drying out while it works.
Good idea, thanks!
Your sarcasm levels are peaking.
Best intro so far!
Thanks!
Thanks so much Lonnie! I appreciate you helping to keep the show on the air!
I suffered this video twice so you could get an extra view and so I could feel like I actually did something today
You are a true philanthropist- twice? My god, how? 😂
I like the patina on the front fenders from the many hours of someone leaning over them trying to get it running.
I like the idea of flathead in the chicken truck.
So try doing all you did to your Pontiac at -30. Been my life story.
The chicken mit is a fun idea. Keep it up and the Algorithm will swallow you whole. 😂
I had a 1941 Pontiac 6 cyl rebuilt a couple of years ago for my 1938 and there is a huge amount of parts still available .. not a cheap exercise .. well done on getting it running. they don't build them like this anymore ...
Peoples hineys were tougher back then😂😂😂
It comes up on my recamended part On the tv in fact my phone and tablet as well.
To funny...you remind me of myself 45 years ago...it's all 👍
You can only drive one at a time. Only one battery required.
It would be great to use the flathead in the chicken truck . Enjoy
And it's obviously very desirable.. That's why no one else wanted it while it sat languishing forever.. Four doors are like that.. 😂😂 BTW.. LOVE the Red Green vibes!
With optional Venti-Bench™️ front seat. Very rare.👏
Never miss an episode, sun, wind or rain.
When it was spinning over with plugs in it sounds like not all cylinders have compression. Probably some stuck valves. Some valves might be accessible through the plug holes and may be able to be tapped down. I did like the good access you had to the clutch. You couldn't free off a flathead ford like that. Nice job on the rust. I need something like that for my 32 sedan. That's a job I'm not looking forward to. Oh yeah, my views have tanked too, but I put that down to the T-Bird not being as popular as the 100E. Ok mate, catch you next time! Mart.
Hi Mart. Thanks for your input on the Pontiac engine. I think once I get the car moved inside, I'll pull the head off so I have full access to mess with the valves. Ps. Nice work getting the T bird to run on 4 barrels! It sounds great!
It's always fun to stop by to see what you're up to.
UK here, i always watch your videos love the tappy tappy tinwork, keep up the good work.
Awesome puppet show! I haven't messed around with puppets since my grade school counselor was asking me a lot of uncomfortable questions. As you know most of my YT viewing is cats playing with string, so I'm not familiar with this "run and drive" thing you have come up with... But I gota say... I think you're on to something there. You better do some more videos like this before everybody on YT starts doing it. Your loyal viewer in a shed.. in Merica.
Hi Randahl. I'm glad the puppet show was able to bring back some fond childhood memories!
It's time to put on makeup... It's time to dress up right...
@@glennnickerson8438 😆😆
Your videos are brilliant. Flat head 6 for the Chicken Truck, for the win, as the young folk say!
You can use a thin sandwich wrap over the rust remover to keep it from drying out longer.
I love Pontiac's. I have 1 myself 1968.
Yes every vehicle was running when it ran last. According to the owner
if anyone wver ask you if you work on submarine engines, now you can say yes
also lovely pupet
Haha thanks!
Kyle you're a man of many talents, I love your channel!
Thank you!
Dude!!! Great video!!! Pontiac lives!! Good job!!!✌️
Ahh an old Pontiac
Probably needs valve job and adjustment
I could sponsor you. It wouldn't be very helpful, though. I only have one battery, too.
😅😅😅 same here...one battery for a few cars that are sitting. Can't justify having batteries in each vehicle. To made projects 😅
Wow Kyle! creeping in on 40K subscribers! Truly deserved my virtual friend. Tell Poe I said "meow"
When I saw the thumbnail I was “Wow, is that the car that was driven by Rusty Nightmare, the famous Canadian Country Western singer!”
Well, must say I’m a little let down, but good video anyway Kyle.
Probably you could Cover the gel with a think plastic foil to prevent It fromm drying too fast.
I see you have a new accomplice. That chicken knows what he's talking about!
👍😎👍
I watched this just to hear my name mentioned. My fragile ego needed boosting again!
Haha glad I could help with that!
The puppet was awesome!
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
I love your humor, Kyle😅😊
You could try covering the gel with plastic foil and give it more time before it dries.
Great idea! Thank you Dennis!
This channel is so good that even my will watch it with me. That is rare!
Gonna hit 40k subscribers with this video. Thanks for all the work you do Kyle.
Nice work on engine. After seeing the clutch, I thought-- no way . Very impressive. I will also stop by Canadian Tire to pick up the rust converter. Thanks for showcasing the product.
Kyle .. aka.. The Friendly Giant of starters and rust removal. With a little encouragement from Rusty the chicken, all is good in the Coupe de thrill.👍
It sounds like my old neighbours rototiller but I am impressed you got it running!
I like that this car is old enough to actually work on and that a person can do it with just basic skills and knowledge. I also like the art deco style chrome on the hood and trunk.
I really love the Pontiac, but I am disappointed that you didn’t show any of all that reupholstery work that you did or even mention the fabric used as you climbed into that sweet ride. I guess you must be saving that for an upcoming video? I’ve used that Kurd Kutter stuff before and loved the results, but I don’t have your expertise. 👍💯
Upholstery restoration video coming soon!
@@CarterAutoRestyling Kyle, can you reupholster your jacket while at it???😂😂😂
The Chicken narrator is a wonderful channel representative. A great attention getter. Pass the old.Chevy engine on to Coldwar Motors.
Mid-City Motors, Saskatoon. In my teens I used to walk through their show room ogling the new models on my way to catch the bus home from St. Paul’s High School on 22nd Street. So cool!
Small world! That's awesome, I was wondering where abouts Mid City was located!
@@CarterAutoRestyling 4th Avenue and 20th Street
Cute car, like Granny’s ride. I respect how secure you are in your manliness.
Suspect that spray bottle may have a “spray” setting, and covering the area with plastic wrap might keep it wet.
From the smoke coming out of the breather the rings are probably shot. Also sounds like you have a rod knock somewhere in it. If it was a straight 8 I would say go for it, but just run it till it dies.
definitely keep the videos coming...i watch year round...always need that inspiration between work on my projects!
The problem with that engine isn't the fact that it was used as an anchor for a submarine, it's that you used a cheap dollar store water bottle to fill it with fuel. You should have used a smartwater bottle. 😂
Stay golden Pony Boy.
Hello Kyle, I love those old early 50's GM cars. My brother just gave me a 1977 Chevy Malibu classic sport. It's like your's but with two less doors. It has a 121220 miles and was bought locally. I'm pretty happy to have it to tinker with.
That's awesome! Good luck with the new project!
Nice work fighting through the pontiac engine
well i been watching you from start and love ever one so i told you why but soon i going help you out .
Very good video
You know something, even in summer I tend to watch you, and Coldwarmotors. I enjoy watching you guys all year round. We have no life in the UK 😉🤣
I've been subscribed forever, and this video was out for 5 days before it showed up on my home page. Nice work getting that thing started. 👍
It seems like the perfect engine for the Chicken truck. I am sure some magic engine rebuild fluid will make it like new
I liked the chicken puppet. The Pontiac 6 would be a unique motor for a unique truck . The Indian head steering wheel is very cool . In the warmer weather I just watch videos later in the day . Thanks Kyle
Recently ran.... that's despicable!
Cool that you got it running!
Thanks
Thank you Billy!
Well dang 😅you got that engine running 🎉! And it drove!🎉. Sweet.
Rust buster works omg. Hard to believe but awesome
Always fun.
You are awesome thank you for the great content.
Our neighbors to the North are a hearty stock that have had their grit passed down from generation to generation... It looks like their cars too have been passed down from generation to generation!😎
If there isn't snow on the ground, are you really in Canada, and not some tropical oasis? I think that you should at least pull the head off of the Pontiac. Since the valves are in the block, it should be easy. You could clean the tops of the pistons, and maybe around the valves. If you're careful you can reuse the head gasket.
I was thinking the same, won't hurt to at least have a look at what's going on inside. I think I'll wait to pull the head until it's moved inside the garage so I don't have to push it haha.
I'll be watching.
10,000 year old Car & that would make you 21 for about the 476th time, you sound good mate for someone so young 👍
Take a que from Scott. Pull the ponchos head and loosen any stuck valves. A couple heat cycles may release other stuck components. The Flat six would be cool in the chicken truck. Nice work as usual😊
After applying the rust remover, cover it with plastic food wrap. The evaporation weakens the reaction. Also it's easier to remove.
Do not do this in direct sun. The plastic WILL weld to the car.
Ask me how I know.
Haha leaving the plastic on in the sun sounds like something I'd do! Thanks for the tip!
The Bullet Hole Ventilation
Wow that car is almost as old as me 😅 I love it !
