Aerosmith won a well deserved Grammy for this song. It was inspired by a Newsweek article about child sexual abuse and a story about gun violence in Time magazine. There are a lot of songs I listened to as a teen and young adult that I had no idea what they were talking about until I got a little older.
Good song. Steven Tyler started Janie's Fund, which is to help young girls that were abused and/or neglected. He's passionate about the subject and getting all of these young women the help they need. He's awesome.
