hey Graxsis, im in chamonix france atm, as a complete noob, never stepped in skis until yesterday on a flat area lol, im here for a month or more so on business, i have a platform idea i came up with while on holiday in bali renting surf boards.... so im here to experience skiing as a noob to find holes in the experience i can launch a business around. Do you have an email or something i can contact? im trying to find an experienced snowboarder and experienced surfer as co-founders. Steamboat is an excellent mountain with excellent staff. Be glad you guys got a chill ski patrolman and not an old schooler. They usually would’ve pulled passes for something like this. Think of the resources you’re consuming by doing this stupid stunt, and letting them look for your friend. Other people actually needing help could’ve been put on hold while they dealt with you goons. Total bonehead move.

As someone who grew up in the Northwest of the US, I'll never understand the myriad of rules in these other resorts either.. when a run is 'closed' it just means not patrolled. I've only ever seen a run fully closed/not allowed is when they were setting up for a race.
