Nice way to clean Mexican clay tile pavers is what this DIY howto video is about. Did the simple green remove old sealer? My kitchen has this tile and was sealed with a water base sealer. However, it needs to be cleaned and resealed. TIA
As far as I know simple green will only clean the dirty floors & not remove any old sealer. Once you clean the floor you could use a wire steel brush in a corner & see if it will do anything but only after cleaning. I have lots more of this project to show you more. Just go to my main RUclips channel page then click on playlists & scroll down to find them. I made probably 8 or 9 videos maybe more. Good luck with your project. Is this is only way to clean this tile ?? I mean this is allot of hard labor ?
@bcschroer I should have updated my comment. I'll share what I did. Like Joe, I also got on my hands and knees. Except I had to strip my floors using a heavy-duty floor stripper sold at Home Depot since it was previously sealed and it was worn. Since these tiles are hand-made clay that are porous, you risk chipping using machines that are high speed. I worked on 4 to 6 tiles at a time stripping, cleaning, and sealing. It turned out beautiful, but it is hard work. If you want more details, I can tell you exactly what I used the Simple Green will not work on floors that were previously sealed, at least not for me! 🙂
