He's too condescending and arrogant to listen to. People make remodeling mistakes but you don't have to talk down about people or where they work and where they come from. Or talk down to your clients and how uninformed they are.
That looks fantastic, you mentioned that a water based stripper should not be used, why is that, and what do you use please?
tile like this absorbs water is my guess
Hi, what kind of stripper did you use? is there a specific kind of stripper for saltillo tiles?
Waiting for the answer too
Get the orange based stripper and try it out. It's much safer. If you have to use MEK, I'd hire someone because that is some very toxic shite.
How hard is it to remove the floors? Seems like a lot of work. The house I am looking at first floor is completely like this. All those spots . Any other options for making it pretty?? I’m in Texas
After the tile is completely clean, is there any way to fill in these small pores and indentations before sealing it?
Factory dust ?? lol
Thank you - 10 yrs worth of pulling out my hair.
I didn't appreciate the swearing and using the Lord's Name. Otherwise it was helpful.
So you don’t use clean water to wash the stripper off?
Also what stripper do you recommend?
Thanks in advance. 🙏
Awesome job!
How often does it requires stripping?
If you maintain it well then it can last indefinitely, but with low maintenance it may be 3 to 5 years roughly. It’s really about keeping them maintained after the initial restoration
California Tile Restoration Thanks!
Great tutorial. Please let us know what stripper you use. Thank you!
I have a small galley kitchen with approximately 50 square feet of usable floor. Tiles are 6" square and the grout is 1/2" wide. I know I have to replace the grout so would you clean, strip and THEN reomove grout or si there a better order of operations that I should follow? I have a reciprocationg tool to help remove old sanded grout for the most part. Thanks
What stripper brand do you use. What is it called? I stripped each tile in my house in 97. Then I personally put on three coats of sealant. Now it needs to be done again.
Hi how would I strip back that red floor paint from terracotta tiles is it possible?
"melts?" literally???? or how to tell if big flakes are polyeythelene???
Do you guys have a team in South Florida?
Were you praying there? Call on someone you know bud.
Do you come to Monterey California for jobs?
Too bad you’re not in Dallas. I need to refinish our tile.
Did you use regular vct tile stripper?
GET TO THE POINT! MY GAWD!
What do you get a square foot?
Good vid. Now I see it's not worthwhile to try to just clean it. Mass of work with 8 sealer coats!
how toxic is the stripper?
how much a square foot did you charge?
Do you guys have to do that all by hand ? No machine ?
Yes this is the best way to get the highest quality and FULLY remove all that old sealer. Most don’t fully remove the old sealer nor do they clean the tile after stripping them
Beautiful
Thank you!
This kitchen didn't cost 15 - 20K!!
5k
How much did it cost?
What can i expect to pay to strip and seal per sq ft
Depends on the how much sealer has been put on the floor over time. Some cases their is little sealer that has been applied and other worst case scenarios there is new coats of sealer applied monthly over time which means extra chemical to remove the sealer and thus higher price. Best case scenarios $6.50 to $8.00 per square foot. Worst case scenarios upwards to $10.00 per square foot. We fully remove all sealer that has ever been applied to the floor without messy machines and on hands and knees for the highest quality. You can’t clean dirt if you can’t see dirt
You work in Los Angeles???
We work all over california. Starting a huge 5000 square foot project in so cal very soon. Santa Ynez to be exact so yes we work all over
My porch have 224q foot how much you charge??? I’m things to do it like one of your videos Saltillo and azul Talavera dots
Can I send you a video so you have a idea can you send me your email plz thank you for replying
hi fritz - you stripped and sealed my tile in Idaho - wonderful job. Refresh me as to what sealer you used? I still have product but cannot remember the exact sealer choice. Bev
Totally unprofessional! You should not make any more videos especially if you’re the commentator! Very sad USA citizens.
That is an incredibly rude thing to say.
Anything positive to say or even give a few relevant tips, easy to be critical of other ppls efforts.
What specifically was done incorrectly? Would love more tips/advise before I decide whether to strip my tile floors. Thank you in advance for letting me know!
The guy who turns the fan on wears gloves, but the one who uses the stripper, doesn't!😂
Thank you for this video, I found it to be very informative and helpful.
