I normally watch these types of videos late at night because I can watch with the sound off and it won’t disturb my fiancé sleeping. Keep making these!!!!
You should get some headphones !
Pretty neat! Now restore my will to live

My dad had his old M1 Garand bayonet and he used it for every thing on the farm from castrating calves to cutting steak. You made that one look just like his. Great job!
At least he didn’t grind off the markings

Well then, Leva Krest. So the bayonet must be *dull, not to be sharpened* right 🤔😕?
I do hope he washed it between the castration and the steak cutting
all things considered, it was in pretty good condition to begin with. I appreciate how you kept all the original pieces of the blade that you could. I have a great deal of respect for the relics of WWII, and I think they should be kept as close to the original as possible. amazing video, keep up the good work :)
They say that the sword of the samurai cannot be returned to the scabbard unless it has drawn blood.
The American bayonet cannot be returned to the scabbard unless it has served a piece of apple pie. Peach cobbler in a pinch.
Or in Georgia👍
Or in Tennessee!
Cherry pie in Cali
That is not true. Cleaning and oiling a katana is a regular ritual in any Japanese household that owns one.
3:20 That reminds me of the tool they pull out at the dentists office lol
I've watched several of your restoration videos. US M1 and Mauser and like your work.
I too have restored several bayonets back original look. Just finished a Canadian Ross Bayonet.
I don't care for the resin and gold leaf projects.
for future reference, when you blue something if you soak in oil ( pretty much any will do) for about 24hrs it will make it much more corrosion resistant than just the bluing alone. great job on this look forward to more vids!
Idk why but loud noises help me go to sleep so this is perfect! Thank you!
It’s called asmr🙂
Loved not just the amazing job in restoration, but the creative "Subscribe" cameos throughout the video. Kudos!
I own one if these, its relatively new looking, got it from a flea market when I was 10 for $15.
Awesome Restoration 😍✌🏻
Better than your?😉
Thanks TysyTube! Really appreciate the view.

I have a rusted small hand grinder that needs to be restored. Can you restore it for me?
Ты самый лучший, Awesome!
nice restoration. love to see it attached to an M1
Adding the pie was over the top cool, best.
Great, I have one of the same model and I am working on it, don't be tired
"DAWN" gets your pots, pans, dishes and old army knives clean,
A eșit super tare baioneta !
Nu am mai văzut așa tip de baionetă .
Coming from a retired Marine, this restoration hit differently. Well done sir.
thank you for your service 🇺🇸
I'm glad you liked it. It was really special to restore. Thanks for your service.

I work with horses.
Awesome Work my good man!!! My father left me the one he used in the war. It's my Safe Queen. Thanks for sharing!
Dope AF job @lostandrestored. In a unique way, you're actually honoring those who served.
Amazing, I especially like how you worked the scabbard, really well done.
The pie at the end is perfect at the end. Millions of people will have that for dessert at Thanksgiving.
really nice piece of history. they built this bayonet well
should have parkerized the metal pieces and not cold blue them.
Personally I find Parkerized metal to be very artificial unless done perfectly. But when done right yee looks nice.
You're perfectly right ! I NEVER saw a WW2 Garand bayonet with its parts polished or blued. It's a tool made for war, not an artpiece ! Moreover, parkerize a bayonet with a very good finish is easier than to obtain a good finish with cold blue. Just soak your metal parts in a strongly concentrated oxalic acid solution for one or two days, rinse with water and gently oil them.
Easily one of my favourite knives
Wow, I wish I could make my M1 Garand bayonet and scabbard look like that.😉
Fantastic Restoration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was restored beautifully
I have one of these, along with the rifle, Nice work.
Excellent restoration, with care and precision! Please continue!
Killer job !
Ohh so this is where my ww2 melee weapon went when I died
Nice save
That knife looks sick even it was rusty.
I need one of those for my Garand.
Amazing job
Great restoration.
This was a great video, especially because I want to restore rusty objects in the future. Well job bro
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks ya, Lost & Restored ☺️👍!
Great 👍
Well done My Friends, from, Bayamo, Cuba,I have one,is very interestring
Nice job. Let's hope that all bayonets eventually retire to slicing pie, too.
I collect bayonets, and that is one of the best restorations I have ever seen. thanks
Cool! I love it when you restore knives. I want to do that some day. I make some knives now.
Nice job you did restoring the bayonet. Good work.
Great job , I bet the pie was good to, very good job
Nice job dude.
très belle restauration
I love how he doesn’t use power tools for the most part
While it looks great, my concern is that you've removed the temper when you took a blowtorch to it.
@@alfrede.neuman9082 I was thinking the exact same thing.
@@alfrede.neuman9082 how?
@@doggerok3541 Because he re-heated the blade, possibly removing the temper that was put on.
Pardon my ignorance, what's the temper you mention?
Nice to see you care for historical things. I would have suggested less sanding, particularly on the sheath. This is a step that too often ends up taking off too much material. Also, you used a cold bluing whereas the original finish was more likely Parkerized. That process gives a much different look but blends in with the olive drab colors used by the military.
The bit with the pie was my favorite part
AMAZING Restoration! 👋
Excellent work!
Try not to dip brush after touching it with metal in Bluing liquid.Use seperate bowl to apply it.
Outcome was impressive
Красота!
Wow, you gave it a new life.
I am also working restore. Your videos are of great help to me. Tks you
Glad to help
This is the coolest restoration video I have ever seen. On youtube, or otherwise.
I'm glad you liked my video so much.
Thinking about the possible lives that were taken with that knife as he nonchalantly uses it to cut himself a slice of pie
It's much like the soldier that likely wielded it. The time for killing has passed, and so it has a more peaceful purpose.
@@MidoriOfTheShuinsen Well, that was pretty easy (as pie) right...😏
Where do you find all these antiques. I would love to find antique weapons and lighters and pocket watches etc but idk where to look
Ebay is probably a good place to start, if not there just a general Google search should locate them
@@peacemaker-du4hz I'm always careful of Ebay. Lots of scammers
Awesome video. never knew a grand bayonet came apart that way. Now if I find an old rusty grand bayonet for cheap. I’m going to do the same. I find it interesting how the guard was pinned to the blade.
Glad I could help!
Well for starters if you find one don’t do what he did. Don’t take it apart and DO NOT grind or sharpen it. He ground the markings off which makes it less valuable plus everything he did to it has made it worth $50 or less.
Don't do what he did. He ground off the markings and removed parkerization. Botched it all and tanked the value.
This video is perfect!! 🤌🤌🤌
Класс 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Excellent work. Very clever ending. Great job!

Quedo una belleza!!! saludos de un Argentino!!!

Nice man!
Beautiful.
A bayonet never shines is not a knife for meat. On a battlefield you are immediately spotted with a blade that shines like this.
I just picked up a KOKURA HOOKED QUILLON TYPE 30 ARISAKA BAYONET it will need a cleaning.
It has surface rust, but it should clean up fine. One of the grip scales is totally missing the other is chewed up... I'll make a new set; I don't know what wood was used in the 1940's on these.
Cutting the pie....so very much better than simply slicing a sheet of paper.
It wouldn't have sliced paper. It has a blunt edge. No slice, all stab.
Fantastic result, I really like it. I learned something new from you. Just keep going.👍
Do you ever wonder if that was used to kill somebody and now you use it to cut pie? Such a weird concept. Great work! So satisfying and beautiful ❤️
That dead guy sure would like a piece of that pie...with a big scoop of ice cream...if you have any.
When you buy a car , do you ever wonder if it has overrun a pedestrian ?
From a collectors point of view, you destroyed it.
Well done.
Have good dexterity!!
Nice job well done 👍👍
Wow wow mazing sir lvly job👍👍
Luar biasa👍👍
Awesome resto. Now all you need is the 4,000 dollar rifle to go along with it, and you’ll be ready to storm Peleliu.
nice job !
Wow ! Verry good knife

The fact I have the same one I think I found it so I just kept it

Good work bro .. Keep going

New to your channel. Nicely done.
Army bayonet and a Mary Engel Engelbreit saucer. You are a man of many parts. Very nice job.
Nicely done!
Muhteşem elinize emeğinize yüreğinize sağlık.👍👍👍👍👋
Great restoration it came up beautiful 😊 I think I missed what the mechanism in the handle is for though 🤔
It’s a lock for the sheath and also the end of the gun so that it doesn’t fall off
@@frizzzzzzal ah thanks! 😀
When we moved into our house in 1987. I found some German things hidden in the basement. One is a 'Mutter Kompass' used in the navigation system in a WWII German bomber. Another thing I found was an 8 inch knife marked with a large H and a small H and S inside with a bayonet up through the center. It's the markings of a German knife company.
Wow, that's some awesome finds! What are you going to do with them?
@@lostandrestored If a Military show ever comes to my town, I may sell the Navigation device if someone will pay a good price. I have no intent on selling the what I believe is a Nazi officers knife. I also found a 1939 Nazi 10 pfennig coin.
Wow
nice video, keep up the good work.
