Igudesman & Joo ... I admire and appreciate the creativity you guys always produced. It is not easy to do what you do. Sure....we can find thousands of good Pianists and Violinists in this world, but almost none of them (except the rare few such as both of you) have the ability to make us laugh....yet at the same time both of you killed it with your amazing music arrangement and skill on your instruments. I wish the both of you many years more of good health, wealth and above all HAPPINESS in doing what you do on stage.
Biggest spring sonata, i cannot imagine what would you do with Kreutzer sonata. Unbelievable, all your Works are awesome, congratulatios guys, ill dream with it. Thanks
you guys need to come to the east coast more and a little bit further south than RI..LOVE IT!!! if i ever get a chance the whole family is coming to see you my treat!
@TheHonorist Well, the main piece they are playing is Beethoven's fifth violin sonata, "Spring". But, in normal Igudesman and Joo fashion, they throw in a lot of other pieces. So regarding this specific arrangements of various pieces and what not, there probably aren't. But the main piece is readily available. Hopefully that helps. :)
LOL I get flashbacks of a similar routine that Victor Borge did wth the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsody that you all should check out. Once you do, see this again. This routine will become a hell of a lot funnier when you do.
It's no boogie-woogie. The sonata's 2nd movement is famous for being experimental with rhythmic subdivision, Beethoven subdivides over and over until he reaches a trill in the right hand, at which point he also reaches the highest and lowest notes in the whole movement. You should study it. You seem to like it. The boogie-woogie is still very much in a Classical style, which sadly, means it does not predate ragtime, unless you take it out of context; which you shouldn't.
I love it how while they are running around the piano, Igudesman stands there the whole time playing
How wonderful to see a great musician who's also got a great sense of humor!

I think Joo might be the only person who could ever get away with holding Emanuel Ax in a headlock while he attempts to play the piano!! 4:36 =P

@Eljalapen0s Exactly. Next gen. of borge? maybe, but fantastic none the less. It has that smart comedy in there with a passion for music.

does anybody know if there are notes for the things igudesman and joo are playing?
I never seen pianists fight over playing ACCOMPANIMENT. Solos all the time, but not to accompany someone.
Awesome, they had to practice the sh*t out of this. WOW.
look up tom and jerry: cat concerto. it's just like this! classic funny
from minute 3.00 and on, I think it would be a very good technique exercise!!

Spring - Beethoven

joo should start playin by pulling the actual snares instead XD
"Can you read..or are you just one of those pianists..that can't read.."
