One thing to remember is that the more liquids you drink, the more time you will spend on the toilet. You may not get much sleep overnight. Take plenty of reading materials for the bathroom.
I had to have the Miralax/ Dulcolax prep prior to Hernia Surgery. As I have IBS, this prep was nothing to me! Might be for others, I guess...but the Prep is most of my daily life...a little bit worse but not much!
The Miralax was not that bad just a lot to drink. I remember some bits of the procedure but not much.

I recall reading an article by a gastroenterologist that the colonoscopy prep is overkill. You do not need to drink the whole gallon of the horrible prep solution. As soon as you start going to the bathroom you do not need to drink any more of that laxative solution. Most people are told they must finish the whole prep solution, but they do not have to. This is ridiculous.
I don’t know why orange, I only understand if it looks like blood. My last colonoscopy the prep drink was even orange, and so is my next one. Depends what your doctor says I guess.
I wasn’t really nervous until you said that you’ll remember very little of the procedure. I didn’t know I was going to remember it at all!
Very good information. You are correct that the worst part of the test is the prep. But it is a very important part of the test.

BRR I read a lot of people stop drinking it as soon as their stool is clear or yellow.

I was advised Red and purple only. Why orange?
