I want to thank you so much for such an easy way to do a prep. I didn’t vomit this at all and I was able to evacuate. The way my Dr wanted me do it was 128 Ounces of fluid mixed with the MiraLAX. That’s impossible for someone like me who has interstitial cystitis, and it was going to affect my bladder in a negative way . Sometimes the doctors are only concerned with their own practice and they’re not concerned with the patient’s other disabilities or capacity for holding this product. This is such a blessing thank you thank you thank you.

My doctor’s office said to buy TWO 238 mg bottles of miralax and TWO 64 oz bottles of Gatorade. I am supposed to add a full 238 mg of miralax to each 64 oz bottle of Gatorade, drink one full bottle the night before and the other full bottle the morning of. I told them I can’t drink that much, it makes me throw up and they said I have to. After watching this video, I just called and cancelled my procedure. I am going to find a different doctor who follows this process with less miralax and less Gatorade.

lol, we're all over the map here. Mine is next week and my prep is two 8.3 oz of Miralax (which is actually TWICE the amount given here) and two 28 oz. bottles of Gatorade (one for each dosage) but ALSO, 30ml bottle of simethicone (infant gas relief) to be mixed with each dosage (I suspect as an alternative to Curalax). So that's less than half the amount of Gatorade, but twice as much Miralax as given in the video. That's a HUGE difference.

I wish all the medical people would get on one page. Just had a colonoscopy today, 11-28-23. The prep was nothing but clear liquids for a full 24 hours, take 2 laxative pills at 2pm or before, then at 4pm or at least 2 hours after the pills. Dump the entire bottle of Miralax in 64 ounces Gatorade and start drinking. Eight ounces every 15 minutes until gone. Absolutely nothing by mouth after midnight of 7:30 am appointment. I started drinking at 3:30pm and was still blowing and going at 10:30 pm. As I was coming out from under the anesthesia my B. P. dropped. They all ran in circles for about 30 seconds, then said "that is better" . About a hour latter they sent me home. the spousal unit drove.

It does not instruct me to take 2 Ducolax tabs at 4:00 PM which I happen to have. I do appreciate the mixing hack for splitting the doses though even though I had to buy a large bottle of GA, as my local market did not have 32 oz bottles in stock. With all the technological advances out there, this feels monumentally archaic and downright brutal…. Can’t we do better than this? We’ve got shuttles to the moon and artificial intelligence, this seems more like leeches and bloodletting …. Jeesh!!!!.

Amen, I said the same thing! We should have a better way today to do this, quicker, easier, I made it thru but it was brutal. Thank God for diet sprite, ice pops and low sodium chicken broth. My husband kept saying to me u can do it, you can do it but now it’s his turn, lol!

this was great until she never addessed when to take the other 2 dulcelex tablets...On bottle number one you take 2 of the tablets at 4:00 then drink first dose then 5 hours before surgery she says to drink the 2nd bottle but doesn't address the other 2 dulcelex tablets....This is so frustrating that any video you watch all has different info they are leaving out or adding in....Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

My GI advised me NOT to use MiraLax, due to the risk of HypoNatremia. He prescribed Clenpiq instead.

I'm not a medical professional, but I think the reason they recommend using Gatorade is to prevent that from happening because it contains sodium and electrolytes. I used it years ago for my colonoscopy and everything went well.
I decided to try to Clenpiq this time, but even with my very good perscription plan it would have cost me $176.00. I'll stick with the MiraLax and Dulcolax!!

Believe me, you don't want have to use that big jub from the pharmacy. It's absolutely a nightmare. Like drinking over a gallon of sea water.
2 - 28 oz bottles of gatorade, hours apart, it a picnic.

Mine had a different set of circumstances also but please follow what this woman says I’m telling you it works. They wanted me to mix the MiraLAX with 128 ounces of water. There’s no way I could’ve done that this is so much easier and I’m cleaned out I’m telling you it works. I had to be very careful because I have interstitial cystitis and I have to watch what I take into my system …..it definitely cleans you out… And it’s gentler on your system

I don’t know maybe call the doctor and find out… I don’t know how any doctor wouldn’t give you a list of what not to eat. Mine was so detailed it was unbelievable, so maybe you can get away with it I don’t know.
