I'm an Apple user but I also purchase Microsoft products. I'm writing this comment on my Surface Book that I purchased back in 2018. still works like I just purchased it back then. Microsoft has come a long way. The combination of Surface Products and Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft is now Amazing and I'm considering purchasing Surface Studio 2. Good job Microsoft.

I love the unboxing, your enthusiasm resonates like a kid on Christmas morning! I love my surface laptop studio 1, it has been my daily driver next to my iPad Pro 12.9. I don’t think my surface pro has left its Kingston “studio like” dock, since I purchased the SLS1, can’t wait to upgrade... I plan on going all out with the 64 gigs of DDR5 that I will probably “definitely” never use, but I too will also be shaking with excitement as I pull the power supply out and fire it up for the first time, even though I know it’s not much different than the one I currently have. It’s the little things in life that keep us going, like the unnecessary and very costly upgrades of our electronic devices! Although, I believe this does have the dedicated AI processing chip in it too, if I remember reading about that correctly?! I certainly hope Microsoft continues on with the surface lineup after hearing the untimely corporate management change rumors, because it’s truly the reason I have been a Microsoft customer for many years.
I am Sooooo disappointed in the battery on SLS2. It's so bad Microsoft didn't even list the capacity in the tech specs. For an ultra powerful computer we need 90mw or at least 70. Instead it's 58 which won't even last half a work day
How then does this have 16 hour to 19 hour battery life???
@@BUCKINUT Nobody testing it is finding 16 to 19 hours. Some reviewers said 3 to 4. When you read the fine print on MS' site, it's clear "16 to 19 hours" means "this is how long it lasts when you carry it around, use it on and off during meetings, put it to sleep, poke around online a bit, come back later and finish a document." It does NOT mean 16 hours of being on, doing or viewing anything. Which you know, would be an honest battery review.

You are darn right ...On my SSL1 .....i realise when i use programs that kick in the DGPU , thats it the battery will last 4hrs ...even RUclips can guzzle the battery . so what i do is to always use battery saver mode . Few know about this but on the SSL , the battery saver mode automatically changes screen refresh rate to 30hz !! yes ...and i have a powerbank of 45W , 20,000 mah with me . The one from the chinese brand Xiaomi or Mi , is great . its the cheapest but also good . has a thunderbolt port .
This laptop needs 2 things really bad a p series prosessor and a large battery.
58Wh battery is ripping consumers off !!! at least 70whr ...for such a beast .
efficiency is more important. it's not necessarily that a higher watt battery is better

Looks fantastic. Love the idea of using it in a tablet format when out and about. What about connecting it to twin monitors on a desk, for working at home - What's the best connection process?

Why do they never show the lid opening? Does it snaps when u open with holding just the edge?
It opens just fine with one finger. The lid is very sturdy

But does switching to using the screen instead of the keyboard force you into tablet mode? Corel Painter always goes into tablet mode when I remove the keyboard on my Surface, messing up my workspace by making the colour palettes inaccessible. It ruins the Surface as a creative device because Windows 11 does not allow turning off tablet mode. Drives me nuts and such a dumb decision, since that was possible in Windows 10. Will never buy another surface unless that's fixed.

What’s the point of the surface connector if it has thunderbolt?
Compatibility for customers that already invested in Surface docks is my guess.
i prefer the surface connetor. apart from preventing accidentally tripping the connector and dragging the whole unit down as it disconnects easily, it's easier to connect magnetically and an indicator light to show it's charging

No backlight on keyboard...how could it's possible?
Considering the orientation of the surface charger contacting to its port, you cannot connect headphone and the surface charger to the device at the same time, it’s definitely a missdesign
You can connect the plug both ways. I think it's a stupid thing anyway. I wanna charge everything with usb c PD...

crazy that for 3600 the best graphics card is a 4060, and you still have to buy the 200 dollar pen

I really like and support Microsoft Surface-laptops over than mac-books.
Bulkier !!! ....Heavier !!!! ....Costlier !!!! ....Its a Downgrade !!!!! .thank goodness i have the SSL1 . feels like the SSL2 is a step backwards ....i took good care of mine , after 17 months , my battery capacity is at 95% .

@@Oeurn_panhavorn can you really feel it in real world settings ? i mean i have an iphone 8 and iphone 13 pro max . its faster on the 13 pro max but its not like how all these writings and technical jargons describe it and make u have a different perception ....i sell diamonds for a living and its like we try to sell Ideal cut as super duper good but honestly we know the difference between ideal cut and very good cut . haha ...to bad its alot of marketing in this world .

The Difference between Microsoft and Apple is that Apple is a trailblazer !! always faster , lighter , better , cheaper ....I own a SSL1 and well what can i say ? i am happy the SSL2 is heavier / bulkier / costlier than my SSL1 . ok ok ....you say SSL2 is way more powerful ? i urge you to remove all your technical jargons and tests ....and simply use it . To me the SSL1 is fast enough already ...no problems playing games at medium to high settings . everyone knows that the speed difference when translated to reality is very miniscule and i am fine with that . i bought my SSL1 is singapore for SGD2600 17 months ago ....now they want to sell the base model of SSL2 for SGD$1000 more ?? come on , who are you smoking Microsoft ? You stole the idea from the Acer Ezel moreover ....was a fan , now feel like the SSL2 is a step backwards , no innovation , not Apple products ....

It doesn't need more stuff in my opinion
the SLS2 is what the SLS 1 should have been. they should at least have xx60 series nvidia card back when they launch the SLS 1. The only misstep they did for SLS2 is the microsd slot, should have been a full sized one. Still I wished they kept the original Surface Book line with detachable keyboard and gpu, and update it with an AMD processor. The SLS is still too bulky and heavy to be used as a tablet, and underpowered to be used as a traditional laptop.
Micro sd card? No! Please.
2 USB-C ports is disappointing. 3 should be the minimum on a device like this.
Honest recommendation for future videos: Please clip or cut your finger nails. There are a lot of people out there who're repulsed by unkempt nails. And that is something you can easily work on. Otherwise you had a jovial expression.
I love how this is what you took out of the video, the guys fingernails...some of us are adults and actually have a life and bought the product wanting to see what to expect, but you do you Benedict.
