I like the sweaty stinky coming from work or the gym aroma and look. It's extremely attractive to me. It signifies to me that he's STRONG and PROTECTIVE.
Wanted to Add: other women have their own personal perspectives and ideas of what they find strong and protective in their men. It's just biological and I have always looked at it on a BIOLOGICAL level.

Ya, I'm usually camping or boating, so I'm not exactly all dolled up. I don't wear anything that's beat down, tho. Always nice running shoes and well-fitting clothes in colors that look good on me. I'm pretty picky.

I honestly think there's no real double standards, there's actually a demand to look good for both parties.
I think they're talkin' bout false eye lashes, spanx, high heels, tons of time spent on nails and makeup hairpieces , just way too much,.....keep yerself in good shape, do what makes you happy and confident, and there's nothing wrong with the nat'l look. Just be clean reasonably well groomed. Supermodel, Lauren Hutton, pulled it off superbly in the '70's.

My mother taught me to be decent no matter what you have on and where you're going. Yes, a woman can look beautiful whether she's dressed up or dressed down but should be decent at ALL times. Meaning, if you're running to WalMart or to the laundry mat, doesn't mean you go out in pajamas and slippers(throwing on sneakers is still not ok), hair in curlers with an ugly, dingy scarf on your head, looking like you haven't cleaned yourself or brushed your teeth. That's tacky and disgusting.

Steve, I spent a lot of time in my formative years with my father's parents. My grandmother was the real life Donna Reed. She cooked and cleaned in skirts (with petticoats), pumps, velour or cashmere tops and apron. I never saw her in anything else unless it was a formal occasion. Every dinner was full table settings with 3 forks, 2 spoons and knives (plus proper table edicate and protocol).
Every day at exactly 5:30 she would stop what she was doing and go to the bedroom and sit in front of the vanity and "doll herself" up, before my grandpa came home. She always said that a good wife "always" made herself presentable to her husband when he comes home from work. He's worked hard and "we" (I guess she was talking about the both of us) have no idea if grandpa had a good or bad day and it was her job to ensure he didn't have and problems (stress) when he comes home.
She was obviously an anomaly, because in my many years of searching, I have not met one woman that even comes close to her.
In fact, it's been kind of fun when girls try to compare me to other men (I say, "don't play that game with me...") and I roll out the "battleship" that was my grandmother. They didn't even have a chance.

My mother, who is a very shrewed businesswoman, told me to always look my best. Never to gain approval, but to use it in my arsenal in getting my goals. People will always be visual creatures and the image what you portray is what they will believe. Others can argue about it for hours but it does not make it any less real.

Katherine is crazy. I'm 21 and a big girl too and when other big girls say things like this, it really gets on my nerves. People are going to judge your based on your appearance and while everyone wishes that wasn't the case, it is what it is. The solution isn't to keep stubbornly living in this ideal world in the hope that people are going to accommodate you. There's a balance between staying true to yourself and knowing that if you want to win you've gotta play the game. It's not like you have to lose weight and stay dressed to the nines but, you have to acknowledge that every choice has a cost and it up to you figure out what your budget is.

I think the majority of men do like a woman dressed nicely, but not ALL men, as this man on here demonstrated. My hubby doesnt want me in torn up sweats and tshirts three sizes too big, but hes just as happy if im in a pair of jeans and tshirt as he is a nice dress. And he doesnt like makeup at all. But he is also very low-maintenance, tshirt and jeans kind of guy. Theres all kinds, you just have to find your match. :)

I'm sorry but as a woman, I don't wear makeup, or straighten, dye my hair, infact I don't eveb own a hair dyer. BUT I always have home cooked meals, use steel or glass as storage, we even make our own mayo, go for walks, relax, dance, and drink lotts of filtered water! This is more expensive and hard, but it shines through and natural beauty cannot ever be compared to plastic, thats like saying you prefer fake gem stones. My opinion, feel free to criticise.

I learned that how you dress is usually an internal reflection of how you feel that day, but especially a reflection of who you are. Just like your work shld be a reflection of your standards, knowledge and abilities. You shldn't be a master at something, but only perform halfway. The quality of your work is supposed to match the experience and expertise inside of you.
In the same way, if you respect yourself, if you feel confident, if you feel like you're interesting, and someone worth knowing, if you're joyful, then reflect it. Nobody says "I'm very happy today" w an indifferent face on, or "I'm not mad", w an angry face on. What you feel and who you are inside should reflect correctly on the outside. Look good, be clean. Dressing lazy is a disservice to yourself. Looking good is doing a good thing for yourself. Ppl always say "I dress up for myself" then why don't you do it often? I don't like dressing up all the time but I do believe in looking decent all the time. Taking time for either your hair or doing your eyebrows and putting on chapstick and mascara isn't going to kill you. It's great that you can have confidence without dressing to the nines all the time but don't get upset when men or women do not show you the respect you know you want. If you leave your house with a dingy scarf and a stained shirt you put out energy that tells people that you don't take care of yourself. Everyone had 24 hours and can spend 5 minutes getting something together. You never know who is watching you when you leave your house.

Of course women are still judged for their appearance, this is one thing I don't think is ever going to change.
But what I like seeing, is how women are starting to judge men's appearance a lot more than before.
Good looking guys gets just as much if not more likes on Instagram and facebook than girls, attractive male actors having a solid female fanbase and that skyrockets their career, and of course when a man looks good and chats up a girl, it's definitely easier for you to get her number or a smile.
Men are starting to realise that being attractive brings them benefits the same way as attractive females get benefits from men.

But right now I'm dealing with a skin condition that does take away from any attractiveness females believe I have, and because my current condition is out in the open for everyone to see, most people are likely judging me as i interact with them, they just happen to have the good graces to not say it to me so as not to accidentally insult me. The women in this video on the other, it's not even that their judged on attractiveness but on presentation, which everyone is judged for. As a black man, if I posted pictures on social media with pants sagging, gold grill on my teeth and obscene tattoos, I'd definitely be looked at in a negative light, even if people who know me well enough will call me the nicest guy on the planet. These girls may be the nicest girls on the planet, but if they're posting those kinds of pictures, it sends a message to men and women in general. But this video had a specific focus.
The only thing that have to look attractive is our wallets, and please don't deny it, because it's true.
Haitian Wood Yeah because I bet you think women can't earn their own money, that male strippers and escorts don't exist, and every women out there is going to throw themselves at you after they find out you have money, or shun you after they find out you don't.
Either you surround yourself with a very small and toxic group of people, or you just haven't personally got to know enough women to form a unbiased opinion on them.
