I've had money down on a Pro for over a year and am still burried on a list. Toyota NEEDS to do direct to consumer sales and dealers can manage the rest of the inventory. Their allocation system is beyond antiquated.
Be thankful you're on the wait list these early ones are horrible in quality
Name one company that has ever done well with this? Tesla and Rivian take YEARS to get some orders to clients. The dealer is NOT accountable for the manufacturer building fewer vehicles.
@@omeraslam2121 it’s not about the time taken, it’s about the transparency of the process and ordering what you want, like any other product in the world. Allocations to dealers based on non specific needs of customers is convenient for only one entity, the manufacturer.
@@carsonpriest5630 yup I ordered a Jeep gladiator and didn’t get proximity also no black rims I received silver but hey I got 245 dollar credit lmao 🤣 I can buy one rim with that what about the other 4??? Plus it took 7 months for me to receive the Jeep
How much are you willing to pay for a brand new solar octane 2023? In pacific northwest
I was put on the waitlist for a 2023 Tundra TRD Pro in Solar Octane in June of 2022 and was able to finally place my order around August 2022! I wasn't supposed to receive it until March/April 2023, but somehow, my Toyota dealership was able to get one in for me with all the options I wanted Dec 2022! After 3 1/2 months of ownership, I have nothing but good things to say about it! Many at first say they don't like the Solar Octane, but in person and after being ceramic coated, it really pops and stands out above the rest! Imo it's worth the extra $6k if you can afford the TRD Pro! It's my first truck, and I am so happy about my purchase! I'm coming from a 2020 Subaru WRX STi, which is now my summer vehicle! 🤘
Did you have any difficulty parting ways with your STi? I have a tuned 2016 WRX that I've had zero issues with, but I'm really wanting to get into the truck game with a Tundra myself 😅
@10DegreesUp Still have my STi just has become my summer car! 4yrs old and only 21k miles on it! That said I do miss it as a daily but need a truck! If you can do both like me! 🤘
The Limited is the exact spec I'm picking up next week. Lunar Rock hybrid with same interior. So excited
Must be nice
I have the SR5 in Lunar, love it.. I wish I had the bigger screen for all the cameras and rear view mirror camera for when the bakflip cover is up. You're gonna love your Tundra.
Congratulation… happy enjoy it 🎉
I have this exact truck, 2024 black TRD Pro, I also owned a 2022 Trd Off Rd model Army green. There a few obvious differences in my trucks the suspension and the engine. The interior was extremely similar, really like the big screen and stereo but off road big difference the Pro is just so much smoother. My Pro had spray in liner, much better. In the end if you can get a Trd Off road with the hybrid engine that's a go all day long. Gives you the power you need off road and 90% of the off road capabilities. All the other stuff is really just fluff. I avg about 18 mpg those turbos love to run!
I picked up my truck yesterday. The same limited in white in your video and I love it. I was tired of waiting for the Pro.
TRD Off Road and then do all aftermarket lifts/tires/rims ect, save a ton of money!
Everyone always says this but it’s never going to be the same. Resale, Trims
@@jmart5302 That's what I did, I purchased the limited TRD off road, added all the aftermarket lifts & good stuff I wanted. I'm not worried about resale, I keep my trucks for 7 to 10 years & put 250-300k on them & maintain them religiously.
@@DucatiGTS totally fair! If that’s the case then no issue but for myself I would rather have a Pro (before these god awful markups) over a TRD as I usually keep them for 3-4 years
@@jmart5302 I can definitely understand that, but let me ask you this. If you add up what you overpay for a PRO, and buy a TRD Limited and take that money and make it even better than factory, why wouldn't you do that instead? Is it because you don't keep it as long?
@@DucatiGTS 100% only because I wouldn’t keep it that long for it to matter to me. I think the only truck I would keep that long would be a raptor but I just couldn’t keep a Toyota that long (at least with prior models) and I know I’ll always want something new anyways. I don’t think the PRO is honestly a great choice bc it really is just bolted on items
I got my limited last month and built like a pro with everything of it I love it
I have the 2 0 2 3 limited with Trd package in lunar rock color and I blacked out all chrome badges and handles Phil R.
The hybrid doesn’t have storage space under the back seat. The batteries are under the back/rear seat
There is space storage behind the seats
I have a '23 TRD Pro in Solar Octane.. my dream truck... very happy with it.
Must be nice….
Very hard to find a trd off road limited right now. Talked with numerous dealers. For those buying now hopefully aftermarket lockers will be available for the future
Can you build it with lockers??
I’m picking up a 2023 SR5 Crewmax with a 6.5’ bed next week. It has the TRD off-road on it with rear lockers
The TRD Off Road has the hardware to go Pro. You upgrade aftermarket components and you're beyond Pro. Easy Mode.
But it's still not a Pro. It so makes a difference in resale. Aftermarket components do not add value at the time of trade in.
@@chrisstian5729 that's the pro of the Pro right there.
3k difference without the bells and whistles. Apparently. Apparently it’s worth the bells and whistles
I’m actually waiting for a hybrid limited long box, it almost seems this is more of a unicorn then the Pro. The resale right now on the Pro is ridiculous, my friend was lucky enough to get one and sold it the next day for $32,000 more. I think the only thing that might help the rest of us is if Toyota can ramp up production, but maybe they don’t want to.
They cant even if they wanted to.
Great video... Limited Off Road with the Toyota 3" Level and you have a great looking truck. Is the 3" Toyota Level over priced that's the big debate. But its factory and warranty.
The TRD Pro is a waste of money, especially if you want to put after market parts on it. The Pro is only good for resale value. The TRD off road is just as nice as the pro.
I don't think either has under seat storage due to the hybrid system.
Yeah, mistake I made on filming day
@@BenHardyCars We'll let you slide this time, Grizzly
Add a lift kit to the TRD and even bigger tires and boom! Way cooler.
When I first saw this car I fell in love, love at first sight wishing to get this car soon ❤❤❤❤
Until they put red tow hooks on it, I'm not even gonna look at one🤣🤣🤣
I just picked up a Ram Rebel. Gonna be at least a year before before i get the chance to get my TRD Pro. We shall see
I gonna perfur both of these vehicles Ben.
If I can't get front and rear locking differentials
I am not interested.
Is the moonroof the exact same in both?
Can’t deal with the smaller bed and no storage under the back seats. Going to get a 1794 with TRO package.
Great review! But I still will not buy a new 4wd truck with no tow hooks. I’ve used them many times on my current pick up and every pick up I have owned, including my wife’s Toyota sequoia. Also, I have never paid for remote start on a vehicle and do not plan to.
The only thing I wish mine (1794 TRD Non-Max) had that the TRD PRO has is that TRD PRO grill with the badging and light bar. Very nice.
But, I can't stand that red interior.
I would buy the street version because i live in the city in Silcon valley in California
Awesome 👍🏼
Feels Like every single Toyota trucks have “TRD Off-road”, even my contractor’s beat up 08 tundra
I wish these reviewers would also cover the maintenance cost side in their reviews. Doesn't have to be exact just a rough cost. I have a subaru crosstrek, at 60,000 km they want me to spend 1000+ dollars for a service C. I don't know about you but that seems rich for a vehicle with only 60,000 km on it.
Do it yourself. You don't need mechanics for maintenance on Toyotas. Especially your oil, spark plugs, coils, and brakes. If you know how to boil an egg safely without killing yourself, then you should be able to watch the videos here on YT and do them yourself.
@@gabe6281 got a laugh here. Does seem like potentially a lot of people couldn’t boil an egg these days lol. Can’t say for sure but we are trending that way no doubt
I'd be happy with the Turd Off road Put a 3 inch Kings suspension lift, Rims, Tired, Air Intake, Cat Back Exhaust, good to Go .
Fox shocks and some accents here and there don’t make it worth it. A front locker would have though.
Should do a TRD 2023 pro challenge against a 2021 TRD pro and don't forget to Rev the motor
I always thought the tundra had a 3.5 v6, but I found today that they list it as a 3.4L. They must have changed it. I could have sworn it was a 3.5L.
It's always technically been 3.4L they just refer to it as a 3.5L. It's the same displacement engine they've been using in Lexus since 2017.
it would be perfect if the trd pro come with black headliner
Both trucks are awesome
Does the tundra come in a trd sport model?
Can you do the same video with the 4runner 2023 please 🙏
With the way the market is going if I order a PRO now when it comes in I should be able to negotiate for below MSRP🤔😈
That not a "military themed print" accents. Its "raw" theme of carbon fiber. Instead of the typical cross weaved pattern of carbon fiber parts.
I’d have to go platinum atleast because I really dislike the lite color interior that’s in the limited.
It's available in a dark charcoal...
Can you talk any faster? I mean the last thing I want to see or hear in an information video is…well you know information that is understandable
Limited
Say it with me bro camouflage, or camo not military print
Can't you get a trd off-road with the pro package for less money than a trd pro?
Off road packages are standard on the Pros.
Why are there no leaf springs? It’s not a real truck
Cool truck
and it doesn't have front tow hooks , what kind of truck is that ....I don't care but off road ppl do . I would get GMC instead.
The TRD Pro is more a desert Runner then a TRD off road
I cannot buy it because it’s too much money
I WILL NOT spend 71k on a truck. I'll get my corvette before I waste money on a truck. No thanks. good video though.
The chonky vents kill me. Not a fan of interior.
These trucks would have been real nice in 2016, now the tundra is Soo far behind.
How so?
Really enjoy your videos . Thank you !
No front tow hooks. LOL! Unbelievable. They went from a real pickup to liberal grocery getter when they removed the tow hooks. The Tundra is now known as the pvssy of half ton trucks. Great move, Toyota.
Wow that Limited with the chrome grille surround is ugly.
The limited wins for older men. The red interior is ugly
Trd pro interior is too flashy
dude, SLOW DOWN I can barely understand what you are saying...
They’re both not worth it at msrp.
🔥👈
Yes it’s a 3.4 liter not 3.5. Automotive utubers need to stop going along with this Toyota lie. Still no tow hooks on off road trucks
Cannot stand that red interior. Awful.
Snooze fest🎉
The limited is a wanna be truck … highway tires on a truck?? Seriously 😊
i hate that engine.
What are the differences between the 22 to 23 Trd pro ?
I don't know, sorry.
-Grandma Beth ❤️
Same stuff overall, just different year. Not much different actually.
Locking gas cap wasn’t an option on my 22 as I recall 😂
1300 lb payload capacity? Ha, how ridiculous. That’s the same as a Tacoma!
On the Toyota website, it says 1600LB. Not sure which is correct? Hopefully, the website is right.
Does the TRD Pro have the digital rear view mirror?
dude, SLOW DOWN I can barely understand what you are saying...
