Not going to lie, as somebody who's played since the beginning with audio on.
This track is honestly one of the best there's ever been, goes up right next to invincible to me.
This is THE BEST loading screen comparing to WoD's mess

That's what I call melody done right. Man, it's genius, such a good and simple melody, I love that so much. And these simple melodies are actually the hardest to write. The composer who wrote this part might have spent hours just trying to come up with a little motif like that

this means so much to me, i had an abusive dad as a kid but playing wow (mainly mop) helped me get thru those times. ill always adore wow no matter what
This comment strikes very close to home with me, just replace dad with stepdad... I felt this comment hard. I'd actually stay in the school library until they kicked me out, playing MOP it was so bad. Very good memories with this expansion... I *almost* wish we'd get a throwback server like Classic through Wrath, but we know they're not going to do that.

MoP was a rennaissance for WoW. It breathed new life into the game and gave us a beautiful dream for what was possible. I can't believe how things have changed since. I suppose it's been a decade. Time flies when you're having fun but the last time I really did with WoW was in MoP.

I can't help but to feel moved by this masterpiece, hearing this after all those years. MoP was linked to so many great memories inside and outside WoW for me, one of them being leaving the game for good, pursuing the real life experience. I'm forever grateful for what this game - and especially this expansion - have given me. I would not exchange my time playing WoW for anything, I'm truly grateful I could experience it. In my opinion, MoP was the peak of WoW gaming experience and it had still retained touch of the original minds behind WoW. It breaks my heart a little how the lore got fucked up in time, but luckily, I'm now just an occasional observer and I left at the top. Thank you MoP for the beautiful experience and the music that brings it all back! /salute

Russel Brower... a genius, this man. And that's not to forget the composers of the many themes that he quoted in this piece (Jason Hayes, notably)
Notably also Sam Cardon, who is the genius who created that awesome theme at 5:42
Many parts of this sound track is very tradition east Asia Chinese and Japanese music style. I listened to this type music and grew up. I am so happy Blizzard bring this great sound track to world's wow players.

After how crap WOD was everyone finally now realizes how great an expansion Mists of Pandaria was, it had a LOT of content, and of course a beautiful soundtrack!
Yea, and now everyone thinks that WoD is crap. So the question is, will people start liking WoD when Legion comes?

The teasers and after the beta I dont think that Legion can fail us. It looks absolutely awesome. But It is also Blizzards last hope of saving wow. If legion fails, WoW dies :(
Same will happen once everyone hates legion. and the xpac that comes after it. etc.
honestly I ve enjoyed all the expansions even WOD, what i DID NOT enjoy was being stuck in Siege of Orgrimmar and Hellfire Citadel for so damn long lol. oh and no flying sucked and i was really surprised they even considered not putting it back into WoD.
This brings back all the good memories when I looked forward everyday to log in, now I barely can get myself to ever buy the monthly subscription

Not going to lie, this expansion has the best music so far in the terms of new music. The theme and the cinematic music is by far the best so far.

0:31 - 0:56 sounds almost exactly like the Lich King version of this melody, just a bit less ominous.
+Desa Iree it's a recurring theme in all the WoW login screen music after all, I wouldn't be surprised. They probably try to vary the type of percussion for each expansion.

Anyone who is following the lore of WoW would've noticed that pandaria was in it :) , the video blizzard uploaded a few days ago even explains pandaria was the first race in azeroth ever, it might be made up to fit in with the story but still i think MoP is a great expansion for WoW. Not does it only give more epicness but also a whole new feel!

A decent amount of pentatonic scales are used in the music which is characteristic of Chinese/far east music. @5:15 for example.

Mists of Pandaria was the true ending of WoW. With the Horde and Alliance putting aside their differences, Wrathion was proved wrong. Azeroth could beat the burning legion. Legion seemed like a redundant expac. MoP's story basically told us we'd win anyways. The Horde v. Alliance war was over; basically the biggest obstacle left. With it ending, WoW ended.

It mostly consists of violins and some brass instruments including the French horn and trumpets. There is also a Erhu soloist.

I know it did, but I feel like Mists of Pandaria added a little more atmosphere with their music. I feel like some of the music in wotlk was a little meh.

There is some good music and artwork to this expansion. Even then, Blizzard hammered in the final nail in the coffin of Warcraft, the day they introduced Fucking PANDAS as a major part of the lore.
They went too far trying to pander to a particular demographic.
Gaurab Chatterjee I'm not sure if that worked. Attempts at making things appear oriental tends to backfire as they are usually full of sterotypes. That said, the music was great in MoP. Not that WoD's was bad, but just unique.
kowweihao Not only that, the entire oriental theme is simply incompatible with the medieval, gothic feel of warcraft. Whats more the entire story is just stupid and clumsily executed.
yeah it's almost like a holiday trip away from Warcraft. That said, i liked the Celestials (Timeless Isle) and escalation of conflict between horde and alliance. I enjoyed the dominance offensive quest chain.

Draethlen Shadowmoon Yeah, one unimportant joke-ish character, that too in a bonus campaign with whom other important lore characters (other than Rexxar) don't interact with.
When I say part of the lore, I mean orcs, humans, night elves etc. whose histories are all in one way or the another interconnected into the grand storyline of warcraft. Not some forcefully introduced species with a poor "coming out of the mist after eons" excuse for a plot device.
To be accurate, they have been an April fool's joke since warcraft 3.
