AOHighlights 🇺🇸 🇨🇦
Carlos Alcaraz is truly the definition of “ the real deal”….what an exceptional talent !!
He’s amazing. He’s plays with no fear and is just all over the court. I can’t believe he’s only 18
He’s the most talented tennis player I have ever seen.
It’s amazing, last time a teenager was showing this much promise was Rafa.
I can't WAIT for a Sinner/Alcaraz match!!!
Alcaraz already looks a lot stronger and confident than last year already ......and he still has about 4 more months where he could be playing in the juniors .....this guy is crazy good.
It’s by year of birth, so he can no longer play in juniors (I believe)
@@ashtagbeats 2021 was his "last legal year" in juniors
Carlos has allll the shots in the world, youth, speed and mental toughness. But what is so pleasantly surprising is hearing how humble, respectful and hardworking he is at this age. His team is clearly teaching him the important things about life as well. Always fun to watch.
Absolutely. Very nice kid.
He doesn’t have the fashion sense. He looks like he should be running a 100m sprint 🤣
@@joeymontana1056 Who cares about fashion sense on tennis.
They give him what he needs to wore and thats it.
@@joeymontana1056 I don't think so, I think he looks better on sleeveless, he has great biceps n muscles that most guys wanted to
It’s absolutely frightening to see Alcaraz play this way, it’s unbeatable sort of tennis when you play like this I feel for Dusan who’s such a great player and didn’t play bad just was outclassed.
Yeah, Lajovic is no pushover. You have to "beat" him properly to win.
Alcaraz is a biiiig dog right now, got the Rafa build going.
Seldom comes a player with natural talent and the mental toughness, Carlos Alcaraz is one of those, he will dominate the tennis world one day.
I was disappointed to see him quit in a grand slam last year though. He looked a mess.
@@networth00 He was injured, idiot!
@@manohoo Looked like a faked injury. No need to name call, it reflects bad on the person calling the names. Remember that in the future. Also, I'm a big fan of Carlos.
@@networth00 it wasn’t a fake injury and he also had a long pause after the us open. You need to remember that it was his first 2nd week in a slam and tough matches before and he’s only 18. To go through the first rounds of a slam like this at the ao is just incredible, normally only the top players like Rafa, nole are able to do this
I fully expect him to be world #1 within 3-5 years and for a very long time. This kind of talent and the culture of always fighting for every single point, makes him deadly.
Youngest world number one us open champion🥰🥰🥰
This kid really fights. Several times, he fell, but gets back up. Looked like quite a slug fest, but at the end, Alcaraz superior!
He's got quite the warrior's spirit.👍
"Loved" Warrior Spirit!
If he keeps this up he could win this thing. What a thrilling player to watch. Love his all-court game. And his amazing defense.
This kid literally has no weaknesses... he can hit every type of shot, has power and precision, a fantastic fighting spirit... I see him beating Matteo in 4.
His backhand is a 9 out of 10. He will beat Matteo in 3, hopefully make it to the finals.
It's entirely plausible. However it won't be that easy, and will depend on how he returns and pressures Mateo's backhand.
With his playing style his health (knees) is going to be a factor for his career.
@@waywardmunkey Nah, his knees will hold out until he's 40. He'll be ok.
His coach, Ferrero, left everything to coach Carlos. He saw all the potential
We are looking at the new generation of Tennis💪🏿
Lawd! What in the world of tennis is Alcaraz? Heck of a match performance.
This Alcaraz causes train wrecks. Just love to watch him play.
Alcaraz is going to surprise a lot of people in this open.
The Spanish young boy will be undoubtful the next top 2, alongside Jannik Sinner. They both possess a worth-watching playstyle.
Alcaraz , Keeping going on fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥
Such an impressive match for Alcaraz. There’s no denying that he’s a talent backed by grit. He’s got such a mature game for his age in terms of physicality and skill. Reminds me of an amalgamation of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic. Fed’s aggressiveness, Nadal’s physique and tenacity and Djokovic’s flexibility and backhand as well as ball retrieval ability. He still has so much room to improve on his already very deadly game. I hope he stays healthy because he is definitely an exciting player that is grounded in many facets of his game/life. All the best to him and his team.
In his own words..."I play like Federer because I like to attack the ball and finish points at the net". But his defense, touch and physicality are like a combo of Nadal and Djokovic, plus Djokovic like backhand while his forehand is definitely a mix of Federer and Nadal. He can serve big but will need time to develop his spot serving. His one weakness is mental consistency (sometimes) but it's scary how good he is already. He has a great coach and team who definitely appear to have kept him grounded. Unreal talent
Agreed! The young boy possesses everything to be the next #1. Especially, we can easily spot out how much passion he shows off while playing.
Alcaraz has the potential of being a legend of he stays healthy
I'm very excited for Alcaraz v Berrettini. Hopefully it's a night match on Laver.
Alcaraz knows what he’s doing with that muscle shirt and the short shorts lol
I ain't complaining lol
If you got it, flaunt it lol
😂 being mini Rafa. But shirt looks nice on Rafa than him though. Even Sasha tried and failed.
@@vidyasonavane9602 He looks just fine 😀.
@@vidyasonavane9602 Oh he carries it quite well and with the game to pull it off
This kid Alcaraz has an amazing built, and the boy demolishes the ball on almost every shot. Yet, he still got touch. Hope he makes a deep run here!
Watching this guy is like a warrior on court. Rarely see him give up on ball. Bravo!
I really hope to this young player Alcaraz maintain his body well for long-running career!
Alcaraz’ forehand is a combination of Nadal - Federer - Djokovic. The flexibility and Determination is like Rafa and Djoker.
It is too soon to talk something big about this young gun but hopefully he could be the big deal for next gen now.
And maybe in the future I want to see he lift one of the grand slam trophy ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Carlos is so good!!
Alcaraz is scary. He clearly brings the talent. He moves great, has a huge baseline game, natural power on serve and hit the physical lottery as well. Hard to see anyone beating him in a few years to be honest
He is a hybrid between Nadal and Djokovic,a very special guy I'll see him doing great things in a future
I always believed Carlos game was better suited to hard courts over clay and he just said it now. His combination of offense, defense, power and touch is one of a kind. Lajovic is no pushover and Alcaraz just manhandled him at times. But he is the real deal coupled with a very mature head and humility. Hope he stays healthy and rooting for him to go far in his career. I believe he can win Wimbledon too once his footwork is all set. He has everything required to win
it's strange he hasn't had more success on grass, no? his disposition seems suited to it
@@jml235 Well, he is only 18 maybe 19. So, we will see what happens this year because he will most likely be seeded. I think he is more than capable of causing a upset in Rd 3 or 4 if he gets that far
Alcarez is improving so quickly and already so good that I think he will be ready to win a slam as early as next year. He might be the closest thing to challenge the Big 3's records over the next 15 years, if he stays healthy and continues to have the motivation and hunger to train and continually improve over that time. Sinner is very good too but I think Alcarez has a much higher ceiling in terms of winning major titles.
There's lots and lots of top talent right now; Zverev, Thiem, Medvedev, Sinner, Rublev, Tsitsipas, and of course Alcarez. We're coming into a very fun time to be a tennis fan. I like watching them all.
Alcaraz is fun to watch due to his variety, even in important points. Some players with a lot of titles play the same points again and again. Not this one.
@Samuel I think Rublev will win a slam before Zverev and Sinner does.
Precioso bb eres un gran tenista Berratini, no está a tu altura carlitooss tu le estas dando de gratis el juego, ponte las pilas, no te presipites VAMOS PA LA TE, 👍👍✌️♥️
Alcaraz is a threat to any player
Alcaraz’s forehand doesn’t slow down after the bounce. How is that possible?
Carlos is destroying his opponents so far. I don’t see why he can’t make a deep run like he did in New York.
He's the new king after fed, djok, dal are gone.
more I see Lajovic playing more I like him 👏
Dustin is a pretty seasoned veteran on tour too, Alcaraz is just that impressive. He's made such strides from last year.
like watching a fusion between Djoko and Nadal play-style
He looks top 5 in the world to me, crazy that he is 18
Berrettini v. Alcaraz! ATP needs to make that a primetime match!!!
You mean AO!
Alcaraz will beat him easily.
Alcaraz will be a GOAT.
Carlos is so talented. I just hope he won’t end up like Dimitrov because he was extremely talented also and really didn’t win anything big.
Carlos is way better than Dimitrov, but Dimitrov is still going strong. He's made a good name for himself and plenty of money also.
You think Dimitrov is bad, try Janowicz or Chung - poor guys with immense ammounts of talent
@@cfoples true, that korean kid i tought that he will like Zverev or Medvedev...being on the top seeds.
What a waste of talent ( for now )
@@KyoFanDuB It's especially sad when they are forced into obscurity due to injuries, like Chung - he got hurt and could not play, and disappeared after that
"He's got speed, he's got power, he's got touch...", but where the hell are his calf muscles?
Not everyone are same build. I'm athletic and I have average upper body, more on slim side but I have massive legs both thighs and especially calves. You know Aslan Karatsev or football player Jack Grealish? I have calves like this or even bigger... My friend for instance has much bigger arms and torso than me but his legs are so much thinner than mine hahaha :)
Escape of Alca(t)raz is impossible for anyone now 🔥
I love Alcaraz's ferocity on the court but he scares me with how he throws his body around out there. He's practically ice skating out there! 😂He is going to be trouble if he keeps this intensity up into week 2.
He won us open and I think compares to young nadal, he is suited more to hard courts. And can do well on clay as well
Aquí en Venezuela no han pasado las competencias de Carlos Alcalas
This is a future #1 player
He’s definitely got the power!!!
Alcarez forehand is a bomb
Carlos game is more David Ferrer than Rafa, I just don't see the comparison and people keeping comparing the two players... The only similarity is the tank top and both are Spanish tennis players.
Exactly. They play nothing alike.
Alcaraz uses his variety of shots much more, unlike Nadal who, having the technique to do different things, he almost always did the same every match. A bit like Murray. Why did they choose to grind, when they could do other stuff? I guess they played percentages, as told by their coaches. Money matters.
These extended highlights are great
Baby Nadal is ruthless. The future is bright.
Great play for both in AO 2R
in 5:23 u just hear the comentator laughs because of the power shots hahahahaha
Carlos is built like a football player. Most top tennis players are very tall and thin. I would love to see him play Zverev or Medvedev for the title. This kid is hopefully a future top player, maybe even #1.
the courts look so fast. Holy moly
Impressive. This is the New generation.
Come on, Carlos!!! Yeah!
Vamos Carlos, bring the trophy home!!! I am rooting for Carlos Rafa or Carlos Medvedev finals!
Creo que está para ganarlo.
This guy is much better player than Nadal at his age. Nadal was veeeeery defensive at 18. Very good in defense but quite defensive mode.
Not correct! Rafa won french open at 19, at first attempt. Young Rafa was a killer machine.
Spot on. Rafa had offensive shots but he was nowhere as complete as young Carlos. None of the big 3 we're. Rafa was faster though
I think Alcatraz and sinner will become the next gen nadal Federer. Just my opinion
And who could be the next DJoker ?
Perhaps...
@@TheSportsPROgram Medvedev
@@cks2020693 he's older than Alcaraz or Sinner, but I can see how Medvedev and Zverev could dominate in the next few years.
@@TheSportsPROgram for sure
So who's next on Hurricane Carlos' hit list?
Write this Carlos Alcaraz will be the number 1 player in the world in a couple of years!!
the commentators said you'd think he'd only get wins on clay or something along those lines. This kid is a total power house. Huge groundies, serve, super fast. I feel ashamed to be the same age as him
my dudes only 18, already worlds no31
Very good player for sure but he's still no Nadal. Nadal's shot quality is another level even at that age. He does seem to be thinking out there so who knows how high he could reach
He's like if Rafa and Djoker had a baby... the complete package
Like if Rafa & Fed had a baby
@@omak529 😂😂😂 All three actually. He has a Federer + Nadal forehand, Djokovic backhand, dropshots, nadal + Djokovic defense. He is not a volleyer like Federer but has great hands and comfortable at net. Offense, defense like all of them honestly
@@z1az285 dont forget a Novak haircut too
@@Notyouraveragesunsetlover Yeah that too 😉👍
Cmon Carlos lets take Matteo out!
Hoping to see Alcaraz/Monfils in the quarterfinals!
Alcaraz will beat Monfils easily.
@@networth00 uhh I seriously doubt that lol
@@moonballpusher6560 I like Monfils but he loses steam in grand slams, maybe bc he's 36yo. Alcaraz is young with lots of stamina, plus he his very hard and good serve too.
@@networth00 Monfils is too solid and usually beats young players like Alcaraz as they usually panic when their shots keep coming back and when Monfils unleashes the random winners
Me mueeroo😃😃♥️♥️♥️
Love the electronic line calls.. line judges are bunch of crooked eyed jokes ..wrong call turn into argument ..mess up momentum of the game.
Best of three set is good enough for grand slam until semi finals.
For women
This would go against the top players. There are way more players who can win 2 sets against Djokovic and Nadal than 3 sets.
Thong is, women get paid just as much in tennis Grand slams as men, unless I'm mistaken, even though they play less. Another example of how men tend to work in more dangerous(where injuries are more common) workplace situations, yet people complain about a gender pay gap when it really doesn't even exist and it is shallow bent statistics when they try to claim it, such as not taking into account that on average the American man works 41 hours a week whereas it is 36 for women. Where is the men's OT pay here in tennis? Personally, I like the best of 5 sets for grand slam events.
his body really ideal during this time..this year 2024 he transform more bulky...he should maintain like before,
wow..
He beats Matteo in 4 sets.
he need to change his shoes. 2 slippery
Alcaraz is like djokovic, but with steroids.
Djokovic defense with rublev's forehand
During the point going on at 6:30, it looks like Alcaraz may have to improve on that hard court baseline slide to use it as efficiently as it works for Djokovic.
He is not arrogant!
He might be too muscular. Top players are typically very lean.
@@networth00 he does seem very muscular, but surprisingly very flexible and not stiff. Nadal is pretty muscular too but that definitely gave him more benefits than drawbacks
Llegó el sucesor de Rafa Nadal.
Still Sinner is way over Alcaraz.
Not in variety of shots, which is what makes tennis watchable, in my opinion. There will always be winners, as the tournaments will be played, but matches are sometimes worth watching, and many times are not. To see the same shots, the same plays, again and again, is pretty boring to me, in an sport. I always root for variety. I like the unexpected.
Are you sure?🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not anymore 😅
Well, that escalated quickly...
The protein shakes and supplements really helped him recover from workouts.
Poor balls won't even serve as dog balls after this
Nadal part deux.
Rafa 2.0
Disculpen Alcaraz
#boycott
Alcaraz is a known hacker. Ban him from the ATP Tour. Pathetic.
Lajovic had no gameplan for this match. Alcaraz was just sitting back on balls and plastering them. Work some spin into your game at least. Low tennis IQ for sure
Ok coach!😊
That might work for a close match, but Lajovic was getting bombarded from the baseline, not gonna win either way
@@cks2020693 It would have at least given him a chance to throw off Alcaraz's rhythm and keep him off balance. You have to outfox your opponent if you know you're going to get dominated hitting baseline to baseline with him.
@Zenigundam it's easier said than done from audience perspective, obviously it's not Lajovic's natural game to play like that. In the middle of a game that requires total concentration especially when you feel outmatched, the pressure to push yourself up to keep up is tremendous, that's why I said, that might work if it was a close match up, but when you are playing defense 80% of time from the baseline, you wouldn't even have the confidence to dare to go for a slice. A couple of bad slices on top of bad baseline game, you would want to quit right there.
I heard Lajovic is hiring a strategy coach ....give him a call .....
Boring tennis.
