Tbf Alcaraz was not the same player in 2021 as 2022. Still was a great match from Murray and I agree with your overall point (for example, Murray was much better in 2021 than 2022). 2023 Murray is definitely the best he’s played in a long time though.

This was 2 years ago, but they will face each other again in a few days if all goes well (if Alcaraz beats Griekspoor and Kokkinakis and Murray beats Carreno Busta and Draper). Murray has his work cut out for him, Draper is a terrific up and coming player.

It was so interesting how Andy slowly but steadily drew Carlitos more and more into his web of slow-paced angle plays. Andy is tennis's geometry wizard! Carlitos did well to turn around that 1st set, but then fell apart. It's incredible to see how much he's progressed mentally in the last couple of years! He always had all the shots.. but it's the strategies (and serve) he's much better at now.. good luck to both of them at this year's IW woo 💪⚔️

Rafa never had a killer serve either, Iga doesn't have one on the women's side either.. for me it's fun to watch how these 2 young talents improve on their flaws, and use their weapons to dominate.. I'm getting more excited for their futures by day!

What impressed me the most about this match is just how Carlos plays so much more aggressively than Andy the veteran. Andy as we know will happily keep balls in play and just wait for a chance to go.for more. Carlos however will keep moving shots around and he doesn't wait. He creates his opportunities. What a kid 😮
