As to your other points, I agree entirely, but don't have the energy to write out an entire paragraph to explain why, so I'll leave it at that :)
@@turbotaquitogoogle8095 I agree, It’s impossible to separate sports and politics and maybe it’s also impossible to make Nick consistent 😬 but that’s why I’m thinking about 3 wishes, the only one that might happen is having a healthy Bianca, Maybe she can stay injury free for a year or 2
My two favorite players to watch😊
I really like Kyrgios but Medvedev is another level.
Medvedev is going to the top
Really, you like someone who behaves like a spoilt brat, plays smart arse shots, swears and abuses umpires/racquets and the crowd and pretends to be a 'showman' to cover up for his getting done. 115th in the world is about right. Totally immature tool ! How about the media acknowledging Chris O'Connell ?
@@ronbr1000 he's more of an entertainer, that's why everyone likes to watch him, he'd be like top 20 if he didn't take a 2 year break, he's pretty disrespectful sometimes but I've noticed it helps him play better after he gets angry at the ump
@@leonidis171 only the low IQ like him
@@ronbr1000 okay steven, have fun watching stone faced players
We need AO to upload the full match!!
I hope to see these two continued their mutual respect for each other they really are amazing to see together
Credit to Nick for keeping it close and putting on a show for the hometown crowd.
There’s no reason to boo a player just because you don’t like him or his opponent is representing the country in which the tournament is taking place. It’s just poor behavior.
The crowd isn’t booing though, they’re saying siuuu, which is what Cristiano Ronaldo says when he celebrates a goal. Apparently it’s become a new crowd trend in this years Aus Open.
@@jericho3294 interesting. good to know.
How can people not like Nick? Brings so much to the game of tennis that it doesn't have. Just his two matches here already shows how much pure entertainment this guy is. Really hoping he plays some tournaments this year to get his ranking back up otherwise we probably won't see him here next year.
You serious ? Underarm serve is cheating, swearing at the crowds and abusing unpires is appalling behaviour. He's so far up himself he thinks he can get away with whatever. National embarrassment
@@ronbr1000 Would love to hear your explanation on why an underarm serve is cheating
@@theruscan Definitely not in the spirit of the game - much like grunting and shouting on key points, inciting the crowd. National embarrassment terrible role model.
@@ronbr1000 75% of players grunt on tour. He's playing the number 2 player in the world on Rod Laver in a grand slam? Sounds like you've never played sports cause the emotion of that would be crazy for anyone.
@@theruscan 75% of the sheila's perhaps, definitely not 75% of the men. He grunts by and large on key points to distract. On the contrary my friend i've played several sports at a high level and as such can spot a fake sportperson from a mile away. Kyrgios is a narcissist with the inability to accept defeat, so pretends/fakes he doesn't care, to protect his fragile ego. He doesn't train hard so as to give him an excuse for failure. In a team sport he'd be a very unreliable weak link. Somehow though i suspect individual sports suit him best. At least he can now devote his time to taking selfies with his ducklip girlfriends.....
Congratulations to all on a great game.
Medvedev’s forehand swing reminds me of a player in the 80s-90s.
Class from Mevedev!
How dramatic the third set was🔥🔥🔥
Nick Kirgios style😌
Es emocionante ver jugar a kyrgios. Creo que le da un giro divertido al tenis y los aficionados
es un payaso q nunca llegará muy lejos...
algun torneo tal vez... pero no mucho mas q eso
No.
@@miguelotero4093 Cuanta ignorancia. El tipo hace una carrera genial. La vive mucho más que el resto te lo aseguro. Esta 2-0 contra Djokovic y encima lo burla. Por perder con Medvedev se llevo miles de dolares a casa. El payaso sos vos
why on Earth is the crowd booing so much during this tournament? even their own spectacular player. I don't get it. People were criticizing the French crowd last year, but here it is worse.
no overseas crowds, mainly aussie bogans
About Kyrgios: talent he has. There was no lack of effort in this game. Physical preparation was lacking. But he lacks determination and perseverance throughout his career. It's everyone's style and goal.
"Determination" is a skill. As many other skills. It has a lot to do with focus. So I wouldn't blame him much more for the apparent lack thereof than I would blame someone for naturally not being fast despite all efforts.
Apparently he caught COVID the week before the tournament, so its surprising to see him play so good. If he gets just a little fitter, he can definitely hang with the best i think
Tiago, did you even watch his footwork?! It was nowhere near Daniil's, clearly he didn't prepare physically.
He would have lost from any top 30 player with such bad movement. There was clearly a lack of effort because I saw the match live and he was constantly chasing the ball, whereas Medvedev was firing lasers making him move left to right and from right to left.
These guys are the future of tennis!!
The difference between a flash in the pan and a serious determined grinder.
win or lose Kyrogis is GOATE no doubt mate!
Good job Daniil..
Perfect Kyrgios, run around like he will do a great comeback, and still lose. LOL
Yeah, god forbid players get hyped and be passionate!
@@codygusto9654 That's cool if you're actually hyped to play better, but Kyrgios does it for show only. Nadal for example also gets hyped, the difference is he delivers.
@@codygusto9654 one thing is passion❤: nadal, federer, djokovic
and another is to be a clown🤡: kyrgios
@@titan7849 Yet here we are talking about him...tennis would be much less interesting and entertaining without players like Kyrgios, Monfils, Fognini, etc.
@@shiftt. I thought this was actually the most plugged in and focused Nick has been in a while though, so I think thats incorrect. Played well, just came up against one of the best players in the world atm in Medvedev...very few can beat him, so why is Nick getting criticized for it?
4:14 if Medvedev was Kyrgios "Kriptonite" in this case Kyrgios would be a Superman, which is possibly an overstatement
Surely it's the other way around since Kyrgios beat Medvedev in all their previous encounters
it's.... an expression, used commonly in the vernacular for any level of anything, and meaning something that someone who usually has no problem, can't deal with well. that's it.
yeah, that implies that only Medvedev has what it takes to beat Kyrgios which isn't true. it's a misapplied metaphor.
Nick is da best, super divertido
Medvedev is so fast, tall and skinny is a very good combination in tennis.
The soccer run after the reaction volley winner xD Nick is a menace
Due a great match both are good athletes but the serene mentality of the Russian overcame his opponent, the Australian showed his good tennis, the only thing that somehow bothered was the public, I know that Kyrgios for playing at home was the favorite but both players deserve respect and the fact that they booed the Russian increased the pressure and it is incredible how after the 3rd set he came with another mentality uffff detail that must be highlighted.
They weren’t booing, they were say “SUIIIII”
bruh kyrgios was not the favorite 💀💀
Did you not see the US open final?
Медведев крут, впрочем как всегда! Даня вперёд!
Nick gotta get that ranking up. He can’t be facing the top seeds in the second round. Hopefully he plays more this year because he does the wins will come.
Nope - He's a fluke - A flash in the pan
LOL. Catch 22 there. Ranking up how? Moron doesn't take tennis seriously...

No hope. Leopard never changes its stripes. C.....head
Great to see Kyrgios crushed 7-1 in the 1st set tiebreak and blasted 6-2 in the 4th set. The clown's antics aren't enough when it counts.

Good effort by Nick, considering he pretty much took 2021 off. Hope he gets his head on straight because he certainly has the talent to be top 10, but only if he gets the mental aspect right.
The talent is there Kyrgios but the brain and heart is another matter he's 27 running out of time to win a Slam. Things going the way the are nah he's just a classroom clown right now. While the other players are studious students trying to win Slams.

This was by far Kyrgios’ best game!
Medvedev won because he played focused and very technically applied. Kyrgios is a talented player, but too impulsive in style of playing, and more interested in immediate reward than strategy. The mind made all the difference.
This exactly

For many years I have considered Australian Open as my favourite Grand Slam tournament, mainly because of the fantastic crowd there. I guess after this match I will change my mind. Shame on you, chauvinistic , unsportsmanlike populace. Bravo Daniil Medvedev - you have real guts.

Love Medvedev's little celebration at the end, he's like ''ehhh piece o'cake reallyy''

To be honest, this was a really fantastic display of talent from Kyrgios, I mean if that break point in the first game of the fourth went his way (and he actually played it superbly), things would have been harder for medvedev. But anyway those are just "if"s , but this match was enjoyable, and I think Nick can still deliver if he's motivated enough
