Kyrgios is so fun to watch especially when he is beating the top players
Man...that serving,especially those 2nd serves were amazing
True, he played very good. But djokos worst season since 07 or something. So nicks 2:0 head to head doesnt mean much i wohld say

TheRealSuperwiesel you’re such an imbecile. Just because it was a bad season doesn’t mean it takes anything out of Kyrgios’ wins. Doesn’t mean much? Two in a row is everything against djokovic

Came here to see what to expect in this Sunday's final, but this Djoko can't be compared with the level he is displaying right now, honestly I do think Kyrgios has a chance if he keeps his head cool, despite Nole being the favourite

@@JuaoKarlus an injured one? idk about that
@@JuaoKarlus Beating a 2017 version Djokovic is not a huge achievement
@Angelous Bacon ok you're over-exagerating the word'injured'. What I meant was that he was already aware that he wasnt playing his best due to problems with his elbow. It's not just Djokovic that's done this, Federer continued playing too (a few years ago) for a period of time and even had to change his serve motion. He's done it in this Aus Open as well. Sometimes you gotta keep playing even when there are some problems, it's when those problems become unbearable that you need to stop playing. Just like Novak did in Wimbledon 2017 when he retired to Berdych, a player he NEVER lost to. I rest my case that Kyrgios is gonna get clapped XD
Although that was Djokovic's worst year, Kyrgios implemented a perfect gameplan. Top-notch serveboting plus Simon-like pushing in rallies where Novak didn't have an opportunity to adsorb opponent's power and had to create the pace of his own which led to a bunch of errors. If Kyrgios had a Ferrer like mentality/ was a hard worker and montivation zombie, even prime Djokovic would have a very hard time beating him.
this is the rare match where nick actually adapted to his opponent's style of play rather than just doing what he pleases on court.
10:27 that ball was CLEARLY IN.
istg the line judges were against kyrgios or something their calls were so bad

2017 the worst year of djokovic’s career maybe his best match of that year was against murray in doha final...still kyrgios is tough to beat especially he was really focus in the beginning of that year pushing Federer to 3 tiebreak sets in miami semis.
of course someone would say this haha!!
It's interesting how you could pretty much tell from the very first point that Djokovic was in trouble. He looked like he'd just woken up and didn't quite know where he was.

Let's see if he can do it a third time at the Wimbledon final.
It’s so hard to tell.

Yeah, makes sense to focus on rare occurrences and to savour and appreciate them.
But he broke his racket .lol
Kyrgios is soooo talented, he puts so little effort in tennis yet, can play like this. What a shame he does not like tennis - as he claims himself. Imagine how he would play if he liked it a bit. His attitude went from bad to worse each year. It is fun to watch for few minutes bit throughout entire match is really enjoying. Wish him peace. I hope he can find what he loves.

2:56 you rarely see such low smashes. I really liked the lady's reaction from the spectators.

Are you here after nadal withdrawal from Wimbledon semi final?
Djoker was at a week point at that time. Even here his movement is stiff and pained and the unforced errors point to it easy enough when you watch them. Good he took a page from Roger's idea of taking time off to heal and train, now paying off.
What a player😍😍
kyrios should have done the chuck berry air guitar with his racket after that win. amazing!!!
Djokovic was playing like a sandbag in that opener, like a wet newspaper
2017 was such a good year, Federer won Aussie and Wimbledon, Nadal played doubles with the GOAT Tomic, and Fed's backhand was just on fire!
I worked at a restaurant in 2017 and would always put my card in the 17-slot. Even if it was taken, I would switch that person's card to some other slot and put mine in 17.

Who’s here before Sunday? (Wimbledon final 2022)
i just watched Federer/Wawrinka and this match seems so slow by comparison! :D
That’s well spotted cos it actually was noticeably slower as Kyrgios beat Djokovic mentally this day. Refusing to give him any pace to work with...the majority of each of those points Kyrgios only slipped out of ‘hit-up’ mode if Novak did. Reminds me of another big hitting Aussie Mark Philippoussis (the most difficult tennis name to ever spell correctly) who used to do well against Pete Sampras especially in GS but couldn't win one himself. Had the game on his day just not the mental toughness to be consistent
Kirgios has a more natural and creative game, Djoko is more tactical and physical. In this game the Australian taught a lesson. If he had more brains he would be the best in the world.
*Actually it is Nick's somewhat Unorthodox or unusual game that unsettled Djokovic in between the game, and this led to Djokovic doing Unforced errors which is very unusual of him and this cost him the Match.*

Nick has great potential to win Grand Slams and be a headache for the Big Three, But he doesn't work enough to be a champion, it's a shame. He is an amazing tennis player.
Everyone thought Fed's record was done after 2013, when Nadal won 2 GS and Federer got his worst season ever. Then, after RG 2014, Nadal didn't won a single one until RG 2017.
After Wimbledon 2016, everyone said Djokovic will catch Federer's record when he missed the rest of the season. Djokovic didn't won anything until Wimbledon 2018.
Now Nadal is at 19, one GS from Federer, and Roland Garros may be cancelled.
I don't know you guys, but I think it's destiny.
That's exactly what I've been saying since 2015
So a global pandemic outbreak occured so that Federer would stay one GS ahead of Nadal
I mean I wouldn’t get too comfortable considering RG isn’t cancelled yet, Nadal is still only one behind either way, and Djokovic only 3 behind.
@@2CSST2 Yep, and Federer made it on a swiss lab.
Anyway, he deserved to be on the top, choked too many Grand Slams.
@@masters.1000 lol that's ok my friend. But don't keep your hopes too high that he will stay. Just because Djoko-Nadal haven't catched up yet doesn't mean they won't, we'll see!
This rivalry, Dustin-Nadal and Thiem-Verdasco show how pointless it is to use H2H as an indicator of how good or bad an individual player is. It simply shows how well they match up against each other.
If used so simplistically yes, it is pointless. But if you use it in a sensical way than it isn't pointless. For example, if a player has a good H2H against almost all other players, it shows his game has less flaws than another player who might have a very good H2H against some players and a bad one against others. For instance, Djokovic himself has a positive H2H against pretty much every other player. Kyrgios is the exception of course, but then again they played their 2 matches right during Djokovic's worst period of the whole 2010 decade.
@@2CSST2 Well, yes that goes without saying. If sb has a positive H2H against nearly everyone else then it generally means they win nearly all their matches, and therefore tournaments. My comment was really aimed towards those who use it as a criteria in the ridiculous - yet endless Best Ever debate
Once you play each other 30 times it means something
It is too premature to have a rivalry based on only 2 matches. They would have more matches if Krygios could only get further into the Grand Slams...
Respect
