I have an older 9000 bendpak and i can say for the less experienced users the most important thing is to make sure your vehicle center of gravity is center of the lift and that you use pad extensions to make sure you lift it level, make sure if your pulling heavy parts off that you support the vehicle with high lift stands until that part is replaced so that its supported when you change the center of gravity, the reason your installer did not lock down the cable adjusting rods was he knew it needed to be adjusted when you hooked up power and just my opinion on the synthetic oil not all seals are made to withstand the additives in that oil, just a thought anyway hope you enjoy yours as much as i enjoy mine.
my chinese 2 post has served me professionally for 15 years. Just upgraded the hoses with 6000 psi American made hoses.
Automotive Lift Institute DOES NOT Certify every lift made in China or the USA. There website has all the Makes and Model numbers of lifts they have certified. Also they sell a book with lift points for most all vehicles . It’s well worth the 10$ . Also , they have a class for proper lift use . It’s about an hour or so long . You take it online . Again, that also was well worth the time .
Challenger and mohawk both make lifts here in usa. Mohawk is the cadillac of them all. The Chinese lifts will work great for a bit. But don't expect to use them heavily for years and not have issues.
Total nonsense. I,run cheap Tuxedo lifts in my shop,and never have any issues with them. And they are one third of the price. So you can buy three for the rice of one us made. And fyi, we only work on diesel trucks. So we run the crap out of them, cheers.

Mohawk are great lift but the price is outrageous. Even Rotary and Challenger are largely being built completely or in-part with import parts at this point.
We have a shop with 5 lifts 3 rotaries 1 bendpak and one Chinese Atlas the atlas is about 6 years old and it is plumb wore out in the beginning it would actually raise what it was rated for not very long after that the slide are wore out and the pump is weak and the hydraulic cylinder leaks all over the floor getting ready to replace it anytime now with either a 12000 lb rotary or a 12000 pound mohawk and the rotary is a great lifts and Mohawk is even better. For a business that uses them everyday I would definitely recommend a rotary bendpak or a mohawk for a home gamer that uses it once in a blue moon the Chinese one I would say is fine

Yeah they are good cause the one that you have .that you think is American made 9 times out of 10 was made in China also. Not very many American made lifts

I would be highly skeptical of that though, they are stating that ALL components are made at their factory. I call bullshit, There is no way they manufacture ALL of the parts including the moving parts inside of the hydraulic pump. I would even go as far as believing the entire power assembly is made over seas. They don't link to any other manufacturer.
Rotary Auto Lifts are made in Madison Indiana and I've been to the Factory.

i have the tuxedo 2 post lift. i like it. but its the 9000lbs lift (asymetrical) one thing that kinda makes me ehh about it is that if i put my tundra on it, start lifting it till the wheels are off the ground and then do the bumper test of pushing on it a couple times. The arms will flex a bit from the weight. the truck is about a 5000 lbs truck but the lift apparently is rated at 9k. I personally wouldnt put anything heavier than my tundra on it. Literally when you have that thing in the air you can nudge into one of the ends and the thing just starts teeter tottering. The base plates are fine an secure i have no concern about that.
I was watching it for a few minutes just kinda nudging the bumper repeatedly to see the arms flexing. and its no where in the posts themselves they're sturdy as can be. but the arms you can see them flexing. For some reason i can't find too much info on it. like im not sure whats considered a good amount of flex or if there should be non at all.
I did come across something that was mentioning that the asymetrical lifts are a bit more ideal for cars as usually they're lower profile arms and not quite as sturdy as the symetrical arms.
For instance on my little yaris there is basically no flex what so ever. But with the tundra theres quite a bit. enough to where i prefer to have a rod sort of lightly wedged between the ground and the truck to prevent the swaying.
Do the arms flex at all with the weight of the Tundra?
@@joshfazenbaker5691 it seems to but I've had it for a couple years now with no actual problems. How ever I still avoid really heavy vehicles and stick with cars but just incase when I'm working under a car I always bring my big roll around tool box under the car. I Aldo have a brace I put under the rear diff that basically stops any movement
Just FYI 9k does not necessarily mean 9k. There are many videos explaining it.
Mohawk lifts are the bestI have three 2 9000lbcapacity 1 15000lbcapacity fully hydraulic no cables to strech made in U/S.A.

I have a 2011 F550. With a large Auto crane. I had 3 more spring put under the right side and now it doesn’t pull anymore. Spent around $800. And worth every bit. Going to have custom springs made for my tundra next.

All Chinese Lifts are CRAP !!! PERIOD !!! I've been Repairing them for 35 years. Buy a Rotary or a Forward
