What I love about this store that everything is well wrapped and resealed so it looks clean and neat! Not some messy videogame store that selles used games like we see in Europe and USA!

Back in my days in Japan I've used to walk around Osu Kanon in Aichi-ken, Nagoya. there you can also find a lot of old consoles, arcade boards, etc. It's a dream!

I made a Metal Slug beadsprite for Super Potato and gave it to them as a gift earlier this year. I was hoping to spot it in the video. I know it's somewhere on the 4th floor, but I believe it is on the end of a row, facing the cashier counter.
Cool stuff Luke. Such a huge store. The prices seem rather high though, I'm especially surprised to see the high prices on the MSX stuff. A lot of that can easily be found cheaper over here even.
If I walked into that store I'd starve to death because I wouldn't be able to get back out... God, I have never witnessed such a MASSIVE amount of games, let alone so many on so different old consoles!

Yeah, CEX in London and Birmingham used to be amazing - nothing NEAR this mind you but 10-15 years ago you would have wept with joy.. I was lucky enough to work there towards the end of the "Golden Age" and enjoyed the arcades in their heyday (apparently even Blackpool & Southend on Sea have no decent arcades anymore just grabbers, gamblers, penny pushers & stacker!). I've seen a few retro stores recently but they are tiny & horribly overpriced. One day though it'll be back - viva la revolution!
$30 no, maybe $5 total. MSX nice, hope to import one someday along with a PC-88 so please Luke take advantage of where you are after you've done collecting all you can for the Vectrex. X68000 neat, not at all like I thought it would look like.^_^ Thanks for the tour, cool store. :)
Seeing those Intellivision games sitting there by the Vectrex stuff was pretty cool...Hell seeing the Vectrex downstairs and the games up there was weird. When I think of gaming in Japan...I picture companies like NEC, Nintendo, Sega and NEO GEO....i forget that some of our stuff made it over there. I kept waiting for the Hard Off music to start playing....is that strange? lol ^_^
@e1doller I'd imagine it's much like this big retro game store in my area (they claim about 70,000 titles available) where you're paying not only for the game you want, but essentially for the convenience of having it all in one place... you may pay a bit more, but you don't have to hoof around so much bc everything is right there.
Yeah, paying thirty dollars for an NES controller is outrageous. I have never seen one for that much. The highest I have seen it in the wild is for ten dollars used. I am getting back into Game Boy games. Plenty of classics for the GB.
@HalfBlindGamer the problem with super potato is that they've become too mainstream. Everyone knows about them because of videos like this one, especially tourists. Combine that with a surge in the popularity of retro games, and shows like Game Center CX, and it leads to them jacking up their prices.

Sorry to bother you with this but would you happen to run across Gundam Endless Duel for the Super Famicom at all? If so i've been wondering what that usually goes for in japan so if you could tell me that would be awesome, not going to ask you to go out of your way for that though. Either way, love these videos, its always cool to see what the game stores there are like, if I had a place like that around here I would never leave lol.

I find it amazing that a in Japan the video game stores sell manuals, and here in the US Gamestop is throwing them away.
This will be the first place I go when I make it to Japan.
if you buy the vectrex games make sure you can get the color overlays that go with them.
