Wow that place really is junk heaven. Well, unless you worked there... man, just imagine hearing that one song, over and over, day after day. I think that would drive me insane in short time.
I watch so many hard off videos, and nobody... explores those shelves of HiFi equipment. Ever. I just see a blur of denon pma-2000 and luxman l-550 and Sony ta-f555esx. Those Bose speakers were the closest thing I've seen to someone paying attention to all that luxury. These stores look like vintage HiFi heaven.
that is such a cool store! we NEED something like that in the UK! Must be pretty nice to live out there.... Sadly they'd never be able to put the game carts or portable game machines on the shelf like that here they'd get stolen! They'd need to be in a glass cabinet!
Awesome vid Luke! I could spend hours in that place minus the music of course. lol Anyways thanks for showing me that beautiful PSX system. That's awesome man. BTW you're vid quality had improved. =)
I need both my GameGears repaired, picked up my 2nd one several months back at a yardsale with a DSLite(I had it working) all for $10 :) the DS even came with the Guitar Hero On Tour attachment
Excellent vid Luke! Thanks for taking us to HardOff once again! It never gets old man. It's like heaven.. :P Really great footage this time, are you using a new cam? ;) The PSX system really looks yummy man...
.. I just blurted out " ITS STARTING AGAIN!" when the song looped back. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Hard Off seems like a great place to shop, but I would never be able to work there! By the way, how much do the Saturn-controllers go for at Hard Off?
What? He didn't buy anything; he was just looking, I'd say he's clearly learned a lesson. A few months back he'd have probably bought a whole load of stuff. Nice vid Luke.
After watching this, now I want to go to the book-off in Lakewood, CA... I wonder if there could be a service so we could purchase some Japanese consoles and such, maybe they would ship at the end of the month, so it gets imported to the states with other customers purchases to reduce the notorious shipping costs and everything gets sorted out in the U.S. stores and the items would either continue to ship to the customers, or be picked up at a nearby store. "Group importing" for short...
LOL, isn't it embarrassing to walk around and talk to yourself (Well, the camera) Has anyone ever confronted you about that? Great vid as usual though.
5$ for a GameGear? D8 ... that's a bargain "this place is like heaven" ... I do agree with you on that my good sir :) and a Sega Pico :D , man I haven't seen one in a while. OH! and "InnerSpace" on LaserDisc :D I'm sure I'd get stuck in there for a loooooong time :)
Hey, if you could get me that "two tone" SFC, that would be awesome! I've been looking for one, can't find one cheap. I'd obviously find a way to pay you. I don't care that it's yellow- custom paint jobs are where it's at.
at 1:51 do i see a PC engine add-on thing? i know, i shouldn't bring it up if i don't know what it's called but whatever. anyways if i was there i would have picked up the orange wonderswan if it was around 5$

that is such a cool store! we NEED something like that in the UK! Must be pretty nice to live out there.... Sadly they'd never be able to put the game carts or portable game machines on the shelf like that here they'd get stolen! They'd need to be in a glass cabinet!

I wish I lived in Japan :(
.. I just blurted out " ITS STARTING AGAIN!" when the song looped back. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Hard Off seems like a great place to shop, but I would never be able to work there!
By the way, how much do the Saturn-controllers go for at Hard Off?
I just found out Hard Off accepts US Dollars. It is also helpful how they have some signs in english. Maybe show these to people next time.
..wow so that's what hard*off looks like 10years ago..still the same i think, only prices change
The MSX (Panasonic A1FX) you show @3:15 .. I paid 4x that amount 8 years later. Also the background music reminds me of Persona 4 Golden.
I SOOOOOOOOOOOO wanna go there!
hard off needs to come to the US...that is a retro gamer/collector heaven. btw..see any reel to reel decks there?
I want to go there too
awesome vid Luke
What?
He didn't buy anything; he was just looking, I'd say he's clearly learned a lesson. A few months back he'd have probably bought a whole load of stuff.
Nice vid Luke.
What's that thing at 5:00 on the shelf. It has Pikachu on it but it says Sega Toys on it and had the PICO logo on it.
Damn I wish we had something like that here in the UK, its a retro enthusiasts paradise
It looks like a Goodwill Computer Works store mixed with GameStop
After watching this, now I want to go to the book-off in Lakewood, CA... Woohoo! Another Hard Off video! You rock, Luke!

I always thought the idea of second-hand goods was abhorrent in Japan.
