Hey every one! This should be some good nostalgia for you. Next game up, Black! If you want to come hang out for that then give a follow to my twitch. www.twitch.tv/jarek4gamingdragon
Hey Jarek, there's also another console only Battlefield game (Battlefield 1943). I don't know if you'd ever be able to check that out, but it'd be interesting
Hey, great vid- some good insights!
Just got some feedback regarding your editing style. When you're referring to different things in the game, it would be nice to have the footage reflect what you're talking about, rather than just have a rolling gameplay snippet.
You're kinda doing it in "chapters" now, rather than down to specifics, so for example when you were talking about the sound- it would've been great to get some examples. I don't even think we heard a single sound from the game in the entire video now that I think about it.. but it would definitely bring everything up a notch to have more of the video's footage reflect what you're talking about, including sound sometimes!
Keep doing what you're doing though, I'm lovin' the content :)
The PS3 version still have multiplayer and single player right now in 2019.
BC2 was way more scripted and linear than BC1 in fact BC2 was an in between to what would later become BF3.
Can you do Frontlines Fuel of War (2008) , very underrated FPS game with 5 hour campaign, but its worth to play. It has pretty cool gameplay concept, its like Battlefield 2 gameplay combined with singleplayer campaign, and drones and Unreal engine 3 older physics.
"There's gold in them there hills."
*fires shotgun in the air*
And just like that, Haggard just single handly invaded a neutral country.
With that goofy ass run to boot as well
Funny post, dude.
"Do we have to get him?
I mean, do we Have To?"

A name that if ever heard could never be forgotten: “Truckasourus Rex”
I'll bet that'll scare the hell out of those Russians!
Who will win? One of em big russian tanks OR....TRUCKASAURUS REX???????
Still a meme in my friend group years later
Theangryguy09 To this day, when I pass by huge trucks on the highway on my way to work I always think of Truckasourus Rex. It’s forever burned into my mind and I’m just fine with that.
"I bet that'll surprise the hell out of those Russians." - Haggard
Loved Gold Rush in Bad Company, just the fact if the opposing team were too good at guarding the gold, you could simply demolish the entire house instead, something EA relinquished on later Battlefield games.
But later Battlefield games just take themselves way too seriously, it's like EA forgot the main purpose of a video game was to have fun, not guilt trip you that "war is bad" blah blah.
Dude yes, that's one of the reasons I never caught on to the bf4 hype. No destruction like bad company 2, the maps were weird and many were way to big and I would barely find anyone to kill. Bad company 2 and 1 were the shit
@@mr.m1garand254 exactly. The maps in bc1&2 were small towns where you can FUCK up everything which was a beautiful thing. It makes mr sad that Dice got away from this style of BF.
Nah bad company 1 didn't let you demolish entire houses. Just blowing off sections of the walls and roofs. Bad Company 2 was the first game to introduce fully destructible buildings that will literally collapse into themselves if you destroy all the supporting sections
Finally someone reviewed bad company 1 everywhere I go and see is nothing but bad company 2
Because it sadly isn't on PC
@PUPPET MASTER what.. lol, how?
@Ricardo Milos it's the only explanation
@@surprisedpatrick5933 hes a hipster, prefers other games just cuz everyone else prefers the other one.
@@surprisedpatrick5933 From what I've seen BC2 has much improved MP but the SP feels...... More constricted to say the least. It had less sandbox like elements compared to BC1 (not to say there weren't any improvements, like the weapon cache system and the improved destructibility) and it felt like it sometimes tried to take it self to MW2 levels of seriousness (imma say the dialogue in BC2 didn't need alotta those f-bombs, just doesn't feel right), something BC1 didn't bother to try too hard
Could you analyze Mercenaries 2: World in Flames?
This was my first Battlefield game I have ever played. Never cared much about the franchise but Bad Company got me hooked a bit, waiting for 3rd installment.
Same here, played the demo and i never forgot the gameplay though I did forget the game. Got it for christmas years later and loved it and got into the series.
@PUPPET MASTER idk man, do we really want a bc3 now? They'll half-ass the story or make bad company stories and throw in loot boxes. Sorry, surprise mechanics.
and it better not be another cod clone i loved 1 game
It won't be the same.
You’re still waiting🫡
I have a feeling the campaign was inspired from an old comedy ww2 movies "Kelly's Heroes" where the soldiers also went awol and stole gold bars. At some point Haggard even says similar lines from the movies like "stop it with the negative waves"
I initially figured it was inspired by Three Kings
I still think about Battlefield Bad Company's main characters to this day. They weren't particularly incredibly well written characters, but they were made well enough to remain charming and memorable, which is way more credit than you could give just about any other military FPS to this day.
I don't know, it just kind of felt like they were characters of people you would actually play the game with, like you and a few mates were actually in the game, taking it moderately seriously, but breaking it up with banter and stupid decisions and silly antics.
The characters were great. Felt like you were apart of some oldschool mischievous/loose cannon good guy squad like Hogan's Heros or The A-Team
The servers have *NOT* been shut down, at least not on Xbox. You can still find full lobbies, just not at all hours of the day.
So as PlayStation 3.
@@mbr41 honestly would be better that way because when I've played the multiplayer part of this game... good god it was the worst multiplayer experience I've ever had with an FPS...
@@revenge9599 Yeah, it takes time to kill one player and people be sending airstrikes (support class) everytime.
@@mbr41 not to mention the most toxic playerbase for years, squad invite system not working anymore, shitty terrible awards requirements, only up to 2 servers nowadays, constant no skill quickscoping, artileries bding abused, no one doing objectives, LMGs being the worst in the game as well as the game freezing sometimes, servers crashing if it even tries to make a 3rd lobby and that godamned 10k kill trophy...
Also, all I want from Battlefield is a Bad Company 3.
Bad Company is fun
DICE cannot into fun games these days
Nice profile pic
@@crustypaladin Thank you.
@DF AMO They are either lying or are complete idiots. The characters were what made BFBC1 and 2 great.
@DF AMO Its because of the exaggeration and comedy of BC series that made it more fun.
"You did a bad thing Haggard"
"Can't be as bad as kris Kristofferson 3rd album"
"It's worse than that"

Day 8 of asking Jarek to analyze Battle: Los Angeles.
Cody Cigar Yes
Oh yeah that one too
Same!
cool name cody
Could've sworn someone has been asking that for awhile now?
What happened to them?
The amount of nostalgia I feel watching you play this game. This was by far my favorite Battlefield game and really the only one other than its sequel that I spent hundreds of hours on as child. Great video!
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is another Battlefield game that only came out on console. It was pretty good at the time
ill be honest ive played battlefield 3's campaign more times than any other battlefield. the main character's name is blackburn
BC2 campaign's my favorite, but I liked BF3&4's as well. So what if they lacked the humor, still fun.
@@MerlautZone agreed!
@@MerlautZone 3 also had some really cool and memorable moments, I don't remember 4 as much
I miss this game so much. The clunky controls, the fuzzy graphics, the gunplay and the campaign. Maybe I'll take out my ps3 to play this again.
I still have this game on Xbox 360.
Bad Company 1 & 2 are really super. I love that squad and we, the fans, miss them. We are hand wringingly waiting for #3.
Remember? The Russians are still coming in from Alaska.
And The Legionnaire from the first game are actually not dead, so maybe they've been secretly financing the Russians with their gold this entire time in exchange for certain benefits and favors.
A battlefiel bad company analysis in 2019? A man of culture, I see
It would be interesting if you covered Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. Great content as always!
That was my first battlefield game and dare I say it my favorite in the series!
My first Bf and Very unique to the others and i love how it has the dual Chinese and Nato story missions
Remember, this is the first Battlefield game to have a full campaign with actual characters.
And the first introduction to the frostbite engine.
And in the end, it turned out to be the best one out of all the rest that have been released, at least in terms of the campaign.
quality game, the first game i ever played on 360 back then
once the buildings in BC2 start moaning it's time to get out or die.
Back when EA let developers do their thing, and DICE made real games.
I absolutely loved both this game and "Mirror's Edge." The future games couldn't come close to the magic that these two had.
Bad Company 2 is a cod copy
Can't preach about how great destructibility is without bringing up the OG Red Faction. 7 years earlier to this game
I remember being in Germany during Christmas and watching bad company beta videos the whole time. I was so excited. That smiley face on the grenade is so nostalgic. God I miss bad company 1&2
I still have fond memorizes of 1942, technically my first battlefield game ever played as a child and the sandbox was on full display even during the campaign mode for that game, yep there was a campaign for 1942 one for the Allies (America, British, Russia, etc) and one for the Axis (Germany, Japan, Italy, etc) where you can play the campaigns however you wanted, one of my more fond memorizes was of the "Battle of Tobruk" where all the Allies points were capturable while the Axis had an uncapturable main base out in the desert, the amount of times I just flanked around both 1st and 2nd defense lines all the way to the main base of the British to capture it to then surround both defensive lines brought a smile to my face.
Finally! One of the better BF games
Too bad EA is a thing and we won't get a bad company 3
Armored mecha yeah I hate EA these days.
BF1
This game still has the campaign out of all the other Battlefield games that have come out since.
I love how open the single player levels are in this game, so much better than bad company 2 were they basically just copied call of duty
That's the one aspect I liked more about BC1's campaign. Especially when their helicopter gets blown up & you have to travel around to find the squad.
5:46 Man this story is really crazy from a military standpoint. Crazy yet realistic, the crazy private accidentally invades another country and to avoid war the Army cuts um off to save face. It’s pretty funny and ridiculous and I really want to go watch all the cutscenes now to see what happens next.
Ah i remember picking this up from the clearance shelf from a walmart as a little kid. I had never played a battlefield game before and was just a little xbox 360 kid so I had really no expectations for this game. Needless to say that I was blown away and this remains one of my favorite games haha. So much nostalgia
There is no greater and adrenaline rushing intro in Battlefield game than this is.. When those drums and horns kick in.. holy shit!
What was the last time you played BC2's campaign? It's totally different from BC1's in that it's way more restricted and sucks. BC1 is much better in every way.
That's what I said! BC1 has a lot more of an open sandbox design where you can explore wherever you want and tackle objectives from many angles. BC2 was just a linear restrictive Call Of Duty ripoff.
Plz do a review of medal of honor allied assault if you can run it on your pc.
it sounds funny but it's really hard to make this game run well on pc nowadays
Ahh the dulcid tones of miss July

You should do a Battlefield 2 Modern Combat ps2 game review
If you take the drill and start to drill a wall around 5 seconds the wall just blows up and falls apart
Jarek the FOV dragon
As a lowlife console gamer, I fucking love when a game has an FOV slider.
Bad Company 2 was my first game I played on first played on Xbox live back in the day and I played Bad Company 1 when it first came out I loved it.
Great review! I am a person who played Bad Company 1 in 2009 and I have built my channel on Battlefield among a lot of other series.
Bad company 1 was one of my first Xbox 360 games with Battlefield 1943 being my first Digital game.
Which 1943 the third console only Battlefield game, Bad Company 1 was the second and Battlefield 2: Modern combat is the first. You could check out it as it's still good at the very least charming.
Even though it really only has matches only at peak times these days however it does not have singleplayer only a training level.
You got all the points, The 'funny' controls were from DICE's inexperience with consoles, Bad Company 1 was pretty much a prototype to see if any wanted a console battlefield game, singleplayer mode and the Frostbite Engine (Destruction). With Bad Company 2 being their first real attempt at making a Call of Duty killer and to bring Battlefield out of niche territory.
And Battlefield 2: Modern combat was their first console game and singleplayer and It had even worse controls then Bad Company 1.
Which you could check out as it was interesting and a good attempt at consoles and it does have singleplayer which if I remember it was mostly gameplay.
It's on Xbox and it may be in the Xbox store if not your Local game store or Amazon/Ebay will have it.
And I loved the vehicle sections, and the El Presidente Hind level is my favorite Helicopter levels in all of gaming as the ability to get out of the Hind at any time was incredible at the time and being on a huge map too was nice.
And pretty much it took till Battlefield 1 from them to get the gameplay of a battlefield-sandbox-singleplayer-mode gameplay right and Battlefield 5 to master it.
But yeah Bad Company 2 is peak story.
I only played Bad Company 1 demo when it released. Played through Bad Company 2 and it's MP a year or two ago. Looks like they didn't carry over the animations where the player character would pull back on the charging handles for each gun. I can see it for gameplay's sake, but I'd rather have BC1's animations then BC2'S where they only put a new mag and tap it harder.
Can’t wait for the Bad Company 2 analysis!
can you review the Starship Troopers Game
Wilhelm Wagner Ooh, that’s a good choice!
Such a bad game with all the potential in the world. Just a drab looking flat feeling game. Now that being said I do reinstall it occasionally just to relive the fantasy of blasting giant bugs
Wait...
Theres a starship troopers game?
@@joeanderson4850 Yup ! I believe Gmanlives reviewed it and it's just awful. It's really really bad !
This game was such a classic for me
this was the best 360 game in terms of multiplayer. bc2 was great but there was something special about the maps on bc1 and the fact that it linked to other battlefield accounts and had their own website for posting screenshots from the console.
Edit: At least I remember it being screenshots? Could have been just stats smh.
Thats why they call me...
Bad Company, I can´t deny...
Bad, Bad Company, till the day I die.
Classic Rock song reference, I like that!
I love Bad Company and Five Finger Death Punch.
This game's sound design got my adrenaline pumping all the time when I was 13, especially urban firefights this game is awesome.
This campaign was so amazing.
I loved how you could play most missions any number of ways.
Bad Company was so fun as a kid on 360 & Bad Company 2... I remember rushing home from school just to drop some C4 on a wall, breach through and shoot the 2 sitting ducks camping behind a wall on the objective.
Call me a nerd. But the main character in BF3 is Sargent BlackBurn..
When it comes to the old chopper issue in previous bf games I’ve always played on a non inverted set up. For whatever reason I think of the front of a helicopter kinda like a face in a game and when I look up I want to move the stick up and when I look down I’ll move it down. I can play the other way as well but it feels weird as where the way I got used to it feel like a sort of easy mode at this point. If it helps to understand think of the front of the chopper as it’s center mass and you move the stick up to shift that mass upward and down to shift it downward.
You mentioned the servers are shut down, but I tried on PS3 last night and still found a full lobby. There is definitely an online community still, though not as large as later battlefield titles.
That is so awesome ans proofs that there are people, who would fucking love a remake/remaster of it.
I loved this game in middle school, then I got bc2 used after and it was better in every way and I spent countless hours on the multiplayer
FOV: Is not 200
Jarek: "Is this trash?"
lmfao
I recently played Bad Company 2 on PC and loved it. I was considering buying the original Bad Company, but I went hunting through my 360 collection and it turns out I already own it! Excited to play it!
Awesome review man I really miss this game
You talking about remembering the building destruction was 100% my memory
this was my first battlefield game, i got it with the ghostbusters game at gamestop because they had a buy 1 get 1 free sale, those were probably the 2 best choices ive ever made in my entire life.
Pretty much nailed this review sir.
Looking forward to playing this on pc through a certain emu.
Bad Company 1 & 2 are some of the best games of all time. Not only was the single player given such great attention, but so was the multiplayer. The game was a complete package.
i really liked this game and BFBC2. you were right about the squad interaction. overall i loved the music and the feel of the game. One thing i really liked was finding weapons in the campaign. it was super cool to find a very unique weapon in the game and to use it through the rest of the level.
The sniper rifles were the best, especially since the maps were so open and huge, along with the Rocket Launcher to deal with vehicles.
I remember the haunting feeling being on foot and hearing an enemy tank in the distance.
I just really appreciate you using the term fire team correctly instead of just saying squad
Battlefield bad company review with legendary ost as a bgm.
Love it
I remember playing this game back when I was in middleschool. I would use the artillery in spawn when I was getting destroyed. I think the artillery was only on one map though. I'm sad they shut the servers down in 2018.
They are still running
I remember hiding in a bush as recon outside the attacker's base and shooting the guy on the artillery gun in the head with the .50, just to have a new guy replace him, and doing that several more times before anybody noticed.
Somehow it feels very satisfying when i hear you say "Guns" instead of "Weapons"
12:37 That was a spicy medkit
Biggest flex was rushing the golf course tanks in the golf cart
Watching this 2 years later jerek. Got to say it's a pretty good game and I'm on Xbox by the way, and the servers are actually back online. So if anybody Alice is watching this in the future, and you want to try the multiplayer in the very first bad company it is currently available.
10:31 I recently played this on hard difficulty and didn't have that problem since I didn't even fight back, but drove in a slope direction.
I have this game on my Xbox one and it's still fun. Had this on my PS3 back then
I have a lot of good memories with this game. Such a fun one

honestly one of my favorite single player campaigns
Its actually better than even the sequel.
When nostalgia hits. I WANT TO PLAY
Honestly, I loved the open type of campaign bad company had, I liked being able to attack from any direction
Me too. Each level felt like a mini open-world sandbox with new weapons and gold to find. The sequel felt way too much like a typical linear Call Of Duty campaign.
You're given a boat at the beginning of the heli mission if you want to do it that way
If you played this back in the day you know how fucking mesmerizing this shit was.
Rogue Trooper or SOCOM 3

Great review Jarek and I always enjoy your streams. Am I the only one who finds it hard to watch a review about a game I really like or am particularly attached to?
Sometimes we forget that just because we love a game, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t have faults; but like anything else we may be aware of the faults or short comings but we love it anyway. The reviewer could be right and we know and we agree but it’s still kind of hard to hear someone else point out those faults.

When you said unmappable controls, I cringed, knowing they would be weird, but I was *not* expecting how crazy these were!
Edit: Also, I think your FOV analysis hit the target on why some people get so riled up when you talk about bad FOVs. Very astute observations!
I’m just used to not being able to change them and I deal with it so when someone complains about it I feel like they deserve to at least deal with the same issues most console games have.
@@dustindubbo2892 Why not ask for remappable controls I get how you feel but there is no way to argue unmappable controls as a good thing.
ivan rangelov I’m not saying that per say but in this younger era of games the fact hat console players usually just had to deal with the hand we were dealt makes people complaining about the Fov to me in these old games at least spoiled in a sense, at least to me.

That was a good game loved playing it back in the day
Easily my favorite online FPS and my favorite story from a FPS.
As far as the story, all the characters are interesting and the overall set is a fun over-the-top action movie. The online mode was where it shined. It boasts a beefy arsenal, plenty of vehicles, and tons of varied maps.
Gunplay and overall mechanics are complex and take quite a while to figure out and have a challenging learning curve. Some of the “frustrating” or “bad” things he mentioned are there to make multiplayer better. Layout of the controls aren’t an inconvenience other than that they are radically different. All of them work well for what they do and are not at all clunky. Things like having to stop sprinting to do something are there to make sprinting have have a negative. It slowed down combat just enough and in just the right way that it made gunplay more engaging. And as much as I loved knifing in mw2, this was an actually commendable attempt at making a serious console FPS and had no place for knifing other than when you legitimately snuck up on people. Which considering the maps was generally not easy at all.
Each of the different classes are perfectly balanced and varied; engineers tools are needed with vehicles, assaulters guns need to be on the frontline, medics need to be supporting, and snipers are next to useless in close quarters but deadly at range. Most other games, especially in BF games which actually use the light class system, these game mechanics are little more than “rocket launcher or med pack” alongside your favorite bullet sprayer. The vehicles are fairly bad in general but some of the jeeps lent themselves to my earliest memories of playing “dukes of hazard” in a battlefield game and doing ridiculously floaty jumps. Hell, that’s always been one of my favorite things to do in BF games.
Some of my favorite video game memories in general come from this game. Hours of playing chicken as snipers. Often times 3/4 of the team engaging in a continuous firefight to take over a small town whilst unbeknownst to them snipers were having a completely separate battle, defenders hiding atop large ridge lines looking for pot-shots while attacking snipers crept through fields and along fence lines trying to pick them off. How effective explosives were at destroying the environment and turning close-quarter fights into mid-range engagements. How awesome it felt to finally unlock a new gun kit that had that fancy secondary you’d been only getting peeks at in the hands of higher ranks for weeks There was never anybody screaming on the mic, you didn’t get death threats for performing poorly or too well, and how well it all ran.
Plus at the end of the day the campaign really is damn good.
