They did do a great job! However I kept thinking that snare sound sounded too much like the original (sample wise) and then I saw Aaron play a fill on the toms but heard a snare fill. I think they’re playing to some sort of backing track but idk

Been with John since the very beginning. My faith and love for his music and his message has never changed. He is a fantastic guitar player and a phenomenal singer. He sounds as good live as he does in the studio. Truly one of the finest of this age and beyond. My 2 cents and the truth is just the truth!
I just love how he mixes up the guitar solo on his Silver Sky. Live shows with incredible improvisation, it's truly magical.

not sure what you mean, no backing track in this video. you may be thrown off by the fact that Aaron doesn’t play the hihats in the first measures.
The one who need a backing track is just you, there are musicians really good paid to be there and play music, for real, and only an ignorant can't notice that they aren't playing in playback. Fun fact: Everyone in 2022 play live with sequences, if you had that sensations for some instruments.
