I was obsessed with Weezer back then and I honestly still will listen to the blue album and pinkerton now when the spirit moves me. I was in middle school or just starting highschool around this time - good memories. I'm hoping my kid picks up some love for older music the way I did for my parents' music. Beauty to be heard across the ages and genres ❤
All i remember from watching the bad quality version of this live is 2 days before seeing weezer live, i had a terrible fever and i couldnt stand. And i just lied down half concious thinking, weezer. And then on the day of the concert i survived 4+ hours of standing waiting for weezer, not counting how long it took to even make it to that moment
19:45 tall dude in the red shirt by rivers is Chris Flippin and dude in black shades next to Chris is Jesse and the other dude on the other side behind Matt is Shawn Dewey all three from Lagwagon, them and NOFX played this festival alongside them!!
Thank you so much. I've been looking for a high quality video of this show for a long time, but all I found was a bootleg DVD with terrible compression. Also, thank you for deinterlacing correctly!
these are my presumed lyrics for the spoken parts in undone in this version (notes: only what rivers says, and this is probably boutta be REALLY wrong and make no sense at all, but here we go) 1ST SPOKEN SECTION (1:41): with the l the e the n the h the o and the c the c at grandpa lurry's that make the meat swing and i gotcha it's a hip hop but i don't like goth girls and if you try to upset the box (/oxygen?) get tipped and it's just like a shock make the beats that make the brakes make ya shake ice cube never caught in the fiddle i may try to kick you 2ND SPOKEN SECTION (2:33): oh no i'm jinxed in the hole with the rock-a-blast tie it's radio hindsight with the next beer sitting at my foot and i gotta ???
the crowd totally not getting el scorcho definitely a bad sign for that time lol. especially how crazy the bizzare festival was for most of the other bands in the 90s
Every generation's had its problems, to be honest. What problems wr have and what we don't change. I wish we didn't have the problems from the 90s nor now.
If anyone has the full audio/video of any =w= 1992-2005 shows, please email me at ongsa181@gmail.com or contact me via Discord "theyeastmaster"
Imagine seeing weezer with Matt sharp and hearing; “I guess we gotta cut the good life”
Rivers looks like he just got out of a young ambassadors meeting and decided to go perform a rock show.
Rivers gonna Rivers
@@ianskyvox exactly lol I was about to say "doesn't he always?" but you worded it more cleverly haha
@@USAPetheadi like when he wore the puffy vest
My favorite live version of El Scorcho. To be a young adult in the 90s must've been amazing.
It was.... Ok. People romanticize things of the past. Today is always the best day because you have all the things of the past and upcoming new things.
During the dialogue in Undone, Rivers is rapping The Bomb by Ice Cube

I like Weezer a lot more now than I did then. I liked them, but not as much as i do now, my favorite band in 96' was The Smashing Pumpkins.
Their level of talent was, is, and always will be insane. Truly one of the best live bands of all time
37:49 for the good part of the concert
I like to think 0:00 - 42:18 is the best part
@@hillbilly645 yeah i think so too
They sound so good, yet they make it so effortless-seeming.
8:44 love that scream
Honestly this version of el scorcho is excellent. sounds like it could be on an album.
Moshing to Buddy Holly lol. It doesn’t get more 90s than that
A great band in a great decade playing timeless bangers. Generation defining tunes.
this is the best weezer set of all time, i think. it's so perfect
This is fckin Gold brah, Up it again using Ai man!! love it!
Wow, the comparison when it switches from original to remaster after the first few seconds is amazing! Great work restoring such an iconic concert

This is the best quality version i’ve seen on youtube, great work! Nice to have people properly archiving these concerts in the best quality possible.
Looks like you put in quite a bit of work.
Totally worth it though, this is awesome!

Their amps are so loud on stage that you can hear them phasing in the wind! Maybe their heaviest set
I agree, this is by far the best version on RUclips. Absolutely perfect! Thank you!

these are my presumed lyrics for the spoken parts in undone in this version (notes: only what rivers says, and this is probably boutta be REALLY wrong and make no sense at all, but here we go)
1ST SPOKEN SECTION (1:41):
with the l the e the n the h the o and the c the c at grandpa lurry's
that make the meat swing
and i gotcha it's a hip hop
but i don't like goth girls
and if you try to upset the box (/oxygen?)
get tipped and it's just like a shock
make the beats that make the brakes
make ya shake
ice cube never caught in the fiddle
i may try to kick you
2ND SPOKEN SECTION (2:33):
oh no i'm jinxed in the hole
with the rock-a-blast tie
it's radio hindsight
with the next beer sitting at my foot

search up the bomb by ice cube

Saw them live in 96😊 in new haven ct
21:45 is just amazing. The guitars grand sound is just so fitting and incredible. And the note rivers hits at 22:10 is amazing.
this is the fucking peak of music when someone with bussiness attire on makes the crowd bang their heads

also “here’s a new song, sorry”

10:41 it is clearly visible here that Brian is touching A minor with his fingers.
fox mulder on bass rules dude
Did you find El Scorcho on the Weezer subreddit? If so, I made that upscale. Asking cos the cropping looks identical
I didn't find it on reddit, the cropping might look the same cause the aspect ratio cropped from 16:9 to 4:3
MATT IS LIFE
11:55 "when i start to FEEL that good old fashioned girl"
it seems like the current versions of these songs as played have lost this edge.
Well they are all now over 50 years old, they can not physically have this energy anymore.
YES THEY CAN!
