In case we use Air Cooled Heat Exchanger instead of STHE as OVHD Condenser, then our plant operating cost will be much less as we do not require cooling water and cooling tower then. Please share your view on this.
Yes, in refinery usually there is air fin fan cooler and it downstream of that trim cooler which uses Cooling water to maintain reflux drum temperature. Heat lossed either in cooling water or in air is simply waste of valuable energy which could be recovered as heating medium for other process fluid.
