    In Cold weather, wet bulb temperature get reduced. Decreasing the wet bulb temperature lowers the outlet water temperature, but the approach is increased because of the curvature of the equilibrium line. Hence to get same approach with same heat load and range Cooling tower height will increase for low wet bulb temperature. Hope this will clarify the confusion regarding impact of wet bulb temperature. These concept will further cleared in subsequent videos on cooling Tower.

      In summer , Air temp is higher so relative humidity will be lower means rate of evaporation of water will be more hence Cooling water outlet temperature will be lower even for small height cooling tower 😅but looks like contradictory through common sense

    Amazing video.
    Sir I have a question, you habe explained that if the temperature of water is less than the wet bulb temperature, evaporation still happens because of mass transfer gradient. But why air becomes saturated at its wet bulb temperature?
    Please clear my confusion.

    in the timestamp of 12:24 you told that latent heat is taken by the water and temp gets reduced . but how can temp reduce if its latent heat because it involves only phase change. explain

      Is phase change takes place and heat supplied for that then temperature won’t change. But if there is no heat supplied and phase change take place then remaining liquid temperature will go down.

    I believe cooling tower in a petrochemical refinery is used for the Furfurol Extraction Unit dewaxing refrigeration plant?
    And FEU is part of the Lube refinery.

      Because approach increases at low wet bulb temperature. To get same approach more height will be required. I will explain all these things in subsequent videos.
