Nice quick overview when everything was already set up and working. The hard part is when the engine is being assembled and adjustments are needed to the timing wheel and cam buckets. That would be much more useful and I hope to see those in the future.
@@TheEsslingerRacingChannel as Scott had mentioned, just seeing an imperfect situation, because what project ever goes as planned? Showing adjustments being made etc. Everything just kinda fell together in this particular video. It would be nice to see a badly times engine being brought in with adjustments to valve lash/buckets.
Yeah, I'm really interested in a set of cams from y'all, but I'm not 100% confident that I know what I'm doing in terms of adjusting valve lash on a Duratec 2.0. If you could elaborate on that (preferably with the engine in the car), that would help me to come up with the $1,000 to send you to get the grind going. (I am for real, I have the car tuned with full bolt-ons at present.)
Nice video… But would be even more helpful if you showed where the bolt went on the side of the engine and a close-up of the bolt in the crankshaft damper. Also a close-up of the cam timing tool at the back of the cams.
Good video. I have a question. I recently redid the head gaskets on a family members car. Once I put everything together, I’m having an issue with it saying that I’m not getting fuel on the rail. But I’m sure it is. The timing is off. Do you have a video of doing the complete timing where you have the timing chain cover off? Unless is it possible for me to time the engine without taking the timing chain cover off? Mind you I have had the timing chain off because I did the head gasket. Thank you in advance.
Nice informative video.Im currently serving my car I have the cams set at TDC for cylinder 4,but Im not sure if my Crankshaft is set at the right position. How can I make sure that it is in the right position?
Looking for a turbo kit for a stock 2.3 pinto motor, I have a 50/50 cam for racing and nothing else, kool thanks merry Christmas 🎁 thanks BigAl California.
This is another great video but doesn't explain how to set the cams on an engine that has had a catastrophic failure of the cam belt.. ive reground new valves in, replaced everything, even bought the correct timing kit but the cambelt is still half a tooth out from settling into both sprockets, if I go the wrong way it will be a tooth out and I'll be doing the whole job again! There is nowhere that explains how to set the cams perfectly on the 1.0 ecoboost engine!.

Good idea! We'll work on a video that shows a quick run through on measuring, and adjusting lash on a Duratec.
@@TheEsslingerRacingChannel Just picked up a set of cams from you guys and would LOVE to see a video like that.
@@zdc590 what exactly are you wanting to see in the video that wasn't briefly covered in this video?

Great job dialling cam would be also worthwhile
Hmm... We can do that!
Close ups especially for valve lash would be appreciated

@@ghostofsoufeasthoustone we don’t have a video like that, sorry
Think you should check that info about the crankshaft been keyed
Can you tell me if the 2.3 eco is an interference engine.. Broke time chain- Valaves may or may not hit piston
@@DoubleMRanchChurch yes, they are an interference engine.

Where do you get that hold down tool for the cams or what brand is it sir?
Wouldn't happen to have the cylinder head bolt torque specks by any chance?
