I played with this string last summer season, 55euro per reel. Its quite soft, not as polytourpro, worse durability, not muted nice feel. I always said that its cheaper and softer version of alu power. Similar atributes. Unfortunatelly i switched to 360+ exreme pro and even with tourna i felt some pain in wrist so for this year a bought next old string :D volkl cyclone tour. But thumbs up for big hitter silver.
Based on our lab data they are VERY, VERY similar in terms of comfort with this one taking the edge for being slightly more comfortable than Poly Tour Pro. VERY similar in power levels too as well as spin potential. Looks like on paper, Poly Tour Pro should hold tension better but I personally didn't have too big of an issue with Big Hitter Silver. Michelle, TW
I've been wanting to try Tourna strings for awhile - particularly the Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour though playing in Australia I am at the mercy of international shipping. That said it doesn't look like the Tennis Only site is updated with Tourna Strings ?
My regular poly is Alu Power Rough 125mm. Which Tourna or other brand string will be a good replacement: I am looking for more tension maintenance and even more spin :) PS: You guys are great 👍
For tension maintenance Luxilon 4G, or for more spin 4G Rough is a good option. If you go with that maybe consider lowering tension a pound or two as it is firmer than ALU Power Rough. Some others to consider are the Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour, Solinco Confidential, and Solinco Tour Bite. Troy, TW
Are you referring to Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour? This string has 7 edges while the non 7-Tour is a round string so it should have a bit more bite and access to spin; 7 Tour is a bit stiffer as well, so if you are looking for a softer option, stick with the non 7 Tour string. Michelle, TW
Tw you should do a review of the underrated brother of the silver which is the regular blue! It feels much better and livelier and maintains tension well
I'm actually pretty familiar with that string as 2 players on my team string with it and I think it is an awesome, affordable option and would say it is legit! Michelle, TW
Agreed. I do prefer the crisper feel of the blue over the silver, but both are great strings. . Plus I think the blue has a pretty awesome sound when making contact with the ball
@@allan9857 Yes I thought I was the only one when it comes to the ball contact sound for the blue string! I keep going back to the blue after trying all other strings: Poly Tour Drive, Lynx tour, etc. The feel has me coming back and the sound as well =]
This has been my string of choice for many years, very nice connected feel, pop and spin.

Hey, do you guys consider this more confortable than Yonex Poly Pro?

This one is not the same as the Silver 7 Tour. Haven't tried Silver, but the 7 Tour is top notch.
@@leebr2010 I've heard. TW has reviewed the regular version so I assume it would probably be softer and offer more ball pocketing compared to the Tour
How would you compare this to the Tourna Black zone?

Hey is this similar to a solinco hyper G ? Thanks
I would say the Big Hitter Silver 7 Tour would be closer to Hyper-G. Troy, TW
@@tenniswarehouse Thanks for taking the time to answer !
How is this different from the Tourna Big Hitter Silver 7?
