    Another sleeper string that nobody on RUclips seems to talk about is Gamma AMP Jet. I’ve tried a bunch of strings, and it’s still my top choice for mains in a hybrid set up. Very cost effective as well.

      Thanks for the heads up. If I get a second or third aero vs, I may try it. My conclusion is that babolat and Luxilon are overpriced for the regular customer. There are plenty of other strings with similar playability and much cheaper.

    I would like to try it but I just can stand string with this color

    Glad you liked it @42lbs! When you can string up 16 racquets with the reel for $60 it’s a steal.

      Thank you. It also feels nice when you can just play tennis and not worry about strings or racquets. The string is predictable and offers enough power and plenty of control.

    Great choice. I think Orange's really good for people who hit flatter topspin shots and is very comfortable and powerful. I ended up liking Tierone Firewire Boost (at 44-48 lbs) better. I cut my strings out after 12 hours of play and it gives me great feel till that time and the tension as measured by racquet tune is fairly stable. If you get another VS you should try it. Do you break your strings? After how many hours?

      Whoaa, I just cut out FireWire/atomos (not quite boost but close) and strung up some Orange using the shift 300

    Hi
    What sort of usable life did you get out of Super Smash Orange (relative to other strings you use or have used)?
    Thanks

      Probably about 6 hours. It then lost its crispness and my shots became flatter than I would like. Grapplesnake tour m8 is a much better round string that maintains its playing characteristics for a long time., but the tour m8 is about twice the cost of smash orange.

      @@tenniswithandy im not looking for the absolute number which is only useful to you personally (since my technique and racket speed will be different). If you got 6 hours with SSO what did you get it Grapplesnake M8 and maybe some other strings you have used (round or shaped)? Do you break it or does it die?

    • @tenniswithandy
      @tenniswithandy  Год назад

      @@Myyt1234_video I’ve been using the tour m8 for about 15-20 hours now (1 month) and I’m still getting good spin and control. It has stiffened up a bit but not to the point of discomfort. I usually get about 10-12 hours of playability for polys before cutting them out. I rarely break strings.

      @@tenniswithandy 6 hours ? I’ve played longer than that in one day that’s crazy, I’ll be stringing every day or 2!

    Super Smash is a stiff string, bit harsh feeling. Not the best poly TBH. It is cheap though but even at $50 for a reel, I wouldn't want to use it.

    • @tenniswithandy
      @tenniswithandy  2 года назад

      It is very harsh at medium to high tensions. It is fine in the low 40s. I agree though that there are better strings out there. Isospeed baseline control is better in terms of spin and comfort and control is about the same.

    You guys aren’t hitting hard, you’re looping all your shots. How is the string with hard, flat shots?

    • @tenniswithandy
      @tenniswithandy  Год назад +1

      It is a solid choice when fresh. Take a look at the video of me playing Michael and I think I was hitting a bit flatter in that one.

      @@tenniswithandy just strung my Babolat pure aero with the orange string at 50 lbs,, really good spin but less power , I like it, thanks!

    • @tenniswithandy
      @tenniswithandy  Год назад

      @@andrewmaresca8781 that’s great. My recommendation is to make sure strings are fresh. Those strings lose a lot of the pop and spin when they die out.
