I still can't believe they cut out the 100sq 18x20 version on the tour. Best racket ever. Control, confort, feel and forgiveness. All you had to do was hit bombs on the ball and the thing was still land in.
Just when Zverev appears to have switched to (or is at least trialing) the Gravity Tour 100, too! Maybe Sinner and Alcaraz having success with lighter, more powerful racquets have caused the rest of the ATP to consider moving in that direction.
🎾TW approved :) I like it with a leather as well Troy. Even thinking about going full in and make it 320g/310mm balance. Its basicly what i wanted from the vcore tour (a bit more control and feel)
Troy plays well. A long time TF40 16M user. Quite enjoy TF40 last version which gives lots of control and swing weight as well. Can you provide some comparisons?
@@vanodne Sounds like a good setup! (For me I added 5g at 12 and liked it, and then I added matching weight in the handle and surprisingly found that too sluggish, and now with 5g at 12 and 2.5g in the handle I think I'm good.)
Gravity Tour 98 has better feel in my opinion, nice and plush and more of a classic Head feel to it (keep in mind feel is very subjective). Even though it has a low flex rating, it still has some decent pop on the ball. The Boom Pro packs a good punch but not great in the feel department (a bit more of a muted response in my opinion). The plushness and control of the Gravity Tour 98 reminds me a bit of the Ultra Pro 16x19 (but the Ultra Pro is a bit more precise) and the spin potential and launch angle reminds me a bit of the VCORE 98. Hope that helps. Troy, TW
Both have great feel and comfort. I really like both racquets. The string pattern and launch angle play a big difference in the play-ability as well as a difference in frame thickness. I definitely noticed a higher launch angle and a bit easier power or pop with Gravity Tour 98 (still flexible and control-oriented, but a bit livelier response to the G-Pro). The Gravity Pro has a thinner beam which adds to the control and feel, and the 18x20 pattern has a very direct launch angle. So for me the G-Pro has that amazing thin beam feel, and I liked it on faster surfaces; hard flat low skidding shots, and slice. The Gravity Tour 98 was a bit more fun when hitting those high heavy spin balls, and I think I would prefer it on slower courts, really using that heavy spin and the angles. Troy, TW
Stock swing weight is too high… why would they make it only 1pt lower than the Pro? Especially at just 4pts HL, doesn’t sound like it’s going to be maneuverable enough for most players. Chris’ assessment about it being quick through the air at least gives me a little hope
I would say a bit more control and feel with this one. The Prince ATS Tour 98 packs a bit more punch on the ball. I find spin potential to be very high with this one, close to the Pure Aero 98, but has that softer feel with a bit more control. So for me I might put this Gravity Tour 98 in between like an Ultra Pro 97 (low powered and very maneuverable) and the Pure Aero 98 or VCORE 98 (both packing easy power and spin). Troy, TW
Great racquet. I would say the Blade Pro plays beefier (higher swingweight) and is a bit more solid. To me it is somewhere in between the Ultra Pro and Blade Pro, but the spin is great. Topspin potential reminds me of the VCORE 98. Troy, TW
Shame about the high swingweight. Would have bought one otherwise. Low swingweight is better, no risk of overspec racquet and you can add lead to get it where you want it.
That was the retail version they reviewed. The prototype was all black this is the finished version. The paint job is a knock off of the Ultra Pro but still looks sick.
Soft and flexible, yes in that sense. However this one has more of that traditonal frame construction (not full box beam but closer to it than a clash), so we find more feel and control with this one, compared to like a Clash 98. In my opinion (very subjective) I found this racquet to play like an Ultra Pro 97 in terms of classic feel and comfort, but with some easy spin and launch angle like the Yonex VCORE 98. Troy, TW
The review I have been waiting for...
Facts ❤
I feel like everyone will be lining up to demo this one!
finally a one handed backhand Version!
It's great for left-handers too apparently.
@ for all others there has been the 100 for long time
Honestly the Pro is good for the one handed backhand, thinner beam, better for slice
Yes , finally an righthander racket 😊
@@raytrace2014 I'm a lefty with a one hander! Current weapon of choice is the Ezone 98. I'll give this stick a whirl.
Wish Zsofi was on the playtest for this one, I have a similar playing style and one handed backhand like her and always enjoy/trust her feedback
Great review! Seems like the revieres all recognized a quality racquet in the Gravity 98

The Pro is slightly heavier but basically the same racquet though, which is why I think they made the unfortunate choice.
@@sasukesarut0bi 10g its quite heavier. They should release a alternate version on tour, the previous one was a gem
Just when Zverev appears to have switched to (or is at least trialing) the Gravity Tour 100, too! Maybe Sinner and Alcaraz having success with lighter, more powerful racquets have caused the rest of the ATP to consider moving in that direction.

Take my money…
😂😂😂 word up 🙌🏾
stunning paint job ! How would you compare it to pure strike 98 16x19 gen 4? Control, power and feel department.
Troy plays well. A long time TF40 16M user. Quite enjoy TF40 last version which gives lots of control and swing weight as well. Can you provide some comparisons?
It’s really the modern head prestige. Had a hit with one last season and it’s very prestige in feel
They modernise the Prestige line too. Gravity is really too soft.
Looks awesome. TW, how's it compare to the Head Boom Pro? (I'm vibing with the Boom Pro with some added weight at 12 o'clock.)
Yep, same here! Currently Boom Pro with about a gram at 3&9 and two at 12 (and putty in the handle). This looks so similar to the Boom...

How does it compare with vcore 100?
i love having an 18 x 20 in 100sq in racquet tho
How does it compare to the Boom Pro please?
would like to know too!

Troy can you advise a Gravity Pro user the difference and your preference in terms of playability ?

How does it compare to the Prestige Pro 16x19?
The first racket of 2025 😍🔥
Is this basically my Prestige from 6 years ago? Specs all seem identical.
1:44 sending a message to his opponent
So TW...how does that compare to the Prince 98 and PA 97?
I would say a bit more control and feel with this one. The Prince ATS Tour 98 packs a bit more punch on the ball. Those clay courts in Delaware look beautiful, interesting that there are so many European employees at that location!
Delaware?! 🤣
Seems very similar to the Wilson Ultra Tour V4 16/19 with a slightly higher strung wgt and swing wgt.
Wow paint job is fire, this will compete with blade pro
Great racquet. I would say the Blade Pro plays beefier (higher swingweight) and is a bit more solid. To me it is somewhere in between the Ultra Pro and Blade Pro, but the spin is great. Topspin potential reminds me of the VCORE 98. Troy, TW
So, it becomes a bestseller I guess!
Give me a comparison with the blade 98 v9 16m please

Ultra Pro 98 / 16x19. Da hast du genau das, was du suchst.
Korrektur. Ist natürlich ein 97.
Oh it’s on now! Been waiting for this review!
With all due respect the only useful review will be the one of the actually available retail version, when it's out. And we all know it.
That was the retail version they reviewed. The prototype was all black this is the finished version. The paint job is a knock off of the Ultra Pro but still looks sick.

Where Zsofi??? Only she can tell about OHB!!!
