After 7yrs. it's so helpful so much. :D
I am not a native English speaker, but your explanation is so good that I understand everything.
Jesus has spoken :)
This was the most harder thing for me but, now I feel like it is the most easiest thing
Thank you man
why i dont see this tutorial since my study time, so easy to make carpet without any plugin. Thanks for sharing!
9:30 nice change to the realistic mess. Great tutorial, thanks
your explanations are very straight , its really useful..
2020 and this video is still so helpful, Thank you
9 years !
still watching ❤🔥
thanks i have been looking a lot for a clear video for hair and fur :)
+mahmoud fayek Well i hope you found it :)
Nice rug, dude
you put this in the very easiest way possible.... thanks you a lot!
+UsielX Simple is good in my book :)
+Denis Keman actually it is...you are very good teaching...right now looking curtains in your video list...but only with max :)
Thanks bro i'm learning from all the videos that you are uploading
thanks for the video, it was a clear enough video for me!
Great job - first useful tutorial very well described. Great Tacher! Keep rocking!
Your videos are helpful, very straight to the point! ^^
Please, keep it up!
Thanks alot for the video, you helped me out alot
Hi, I have a problem and I use V-Ray Next for rendering and when I throw the render I cant see the effect hair and fur only I can see in the views of my projects. Someone has any idea why?
have you found a solution please?
@@XxamorOo yes , the only solution is change to vraynext render but without GPU. When you throw the render you can choose between gpurendervray and cpu render choose cpu and you can see the effect
Woooowww!! amazing! thanks so much for sharing this!
Thanks for the vid. Its amazing help!!
why the parameter lighting in the tab effects is not active
Thanks verymuch
You helped me alot
Soft and comfortable
why does the hair show up on the bottom and top of the object and how can i edit the hair to only be on the top of the surface:
Great Thank you for your tutorial !! great Help
thanks dude!
thank you very much you helped me alot sir
as soon as you increase the hair count, the vray instance takes forever.. any chance to get rid of that issue?
how do we export this fur and how can we add similar texture in some other software ?
Thank you man, you are one of the best!
Hi Denis, how would you create a 3D asset with the hair and fur modifier? It doesn't export as an .fbx. Thanks!
hi, while using hair and fur modifier, when rendering the hair tip in output image is seemed clipping. i cant get pointed tip. every hair tip is clipped and seem like hollow cylinder. please help me.
Awesome working on this modifier....
Very nice and easy tutorial!
I am using the Corona Renderer, When I select Geometry and select default Texture map like you did at the end it does't change the overall color of the Hair and Fur.
THANKS FOR THIS VIDEO
Thanks
Very cool thank you for explaining this modifier ! :)
Hi Denis, thanks for the tutorial. I have one question though, why is it that when I render using geometry, the stands look cut, and doesn't give a smooth looking strands like the buffer and mr prim? thanks!
that was super easy and helpful! Thanks a lot !
Right.. I dont have VRay for some reason, is it because I have the Student Version?
Why is it that mine is showing only in buffer option not in mr prim ( using 2016 ver )
Thank you very much. I understand you can copy the modifier settings within the same project. Is there a way you can copy the modifier settings so that you don't have to re-punch every time you add a new rug in a new project? Right now I can only think of saving the rug separate and xref it as a scene on the current project
I'm not really sure that when you copy the modifier from one rug to another one it would keep the same values
@@DenisKeman I havent really tried it on hair and fair but it does with UVW Map. I will have to try it
thanks brother
Thank you so much!! great, great tutorial
thanks you man
Sir..how can make texture grass like that??.. my 3d max version just like real hair animal not grass..?
Thanks for the awesome tut! Wish mental ray could get me closer to your v ray render :P
+Apoorv Nigam Well i'm sure that Mentalray can get you somewhere, but it has never been my choice for a render solution so i can't tell you much more about it.
Yes, it is sub par no doubt, i'm forced to deal with it at work. It gave decent result after 3-4 hours of r&d plus following your video step by step :)
Apoorv Nigam But in the end you actually got the end result that you were looking for. So all in all it ended up well :)
wow so beautifully you have explain it...
Can you export fur and hair as a mesh to render it out in a different program? I use Octane in Rhino and I only need hair and fur from 3ds...
I have used a box and turbsmooth to create the rug and whenever I render the colour of the box (blue) renders too. Do you know how I can fix this please?
It should be that way I guess. Unless there's no material applied to the rug, the model is rendered with initial colors either by layer or by the object.
Thank you! :)
perfect tutorial. Thanks a lot. But wtf the second cursor? :D
Hi Denis, I have a question. When i create a chamferbox and apply hair and fur, the fur appears at top and bottom. can you tell me how did you create your chamferbox on the top only? Thanks
simple ... you delete the bottom face :)
i would like to thank you first for this tutorial, i have a question, i used a chamferbox as support and when i applied the hair and fur, i could see that on the both surface side, top and bottom. Is there any checkbox or any other settings i should set to get it on at the top surface please?
well you can delete the bottom as it will not be seen in the render :) Also you can specify on which polygons you want the distribution to happen
ok i tried and it works fine. by the way the hair count if you are using a surface 100x180cm , how many will you or can you use to cover, cause i'm still having some small spaces not covered. i have a lot to learn has beginner haha
how can I create a rug with short hair that has a pattern on it? like an oriental rug? Thank you so much for the tutorial btw, it's very helpful!
love your tutorials. you're very good at explaining everything. i was wondering, could you do a tutorial on how to render/create suede material? i have some textures from arroway textures but i cant get the suede effect or the suede look.
Great tutorial... really nice one... thx
that, what i need! Thank you!
Super helpful. Thanks.
спасибо! помогли
(на 90 процентов уверена, что вы поймёте по-русски)
90% means you would be wrong that i speak Russian, but i can read Cyrilic and make heads or tails on what i'm reading :)
after ive changed it to mr prim it still doesnt show the fur in the render
use the buffer , in the new versions if you use it , it shows on rendering
Thanks a lot for the video Denis. I wanna make a non woven structure where the fibers are lying on top of each another rather than standing by the side of one another (as is the case in these rags here).
Do you think it's possible?
Could you give me a tip on how I can go about it? Thanks once again.
+Ken Obi Well i would need a bit more to go on, like maybe a reference image of what exactly you mean as i really can't get a totally clear idea of the rug type that you are talking about
Hello Denis, thank a lot for the response and willingness to help! How do I show you the picture? If you would not mind I can have your email at smartkenobi@gmail.com.
Thank you
Ken Obi It would be much easier to hit me up on Facebook or on the Facebook page DKCGI.
Can you change the individual hair's shape using your own pre-made hair polygon? I'm trying to make fur for a video game character, but the fur needs to be on polygons so that you can have less fibers. A clump of fur can be the texture on one polygon.
+Mewbits OK from what i am understanding you basically want to scatter polygons that have a diffuse and opacity map that will make it look like a piece of hair. You can automate this with a scattering plugin (Forest Pack Pro) but if you are making it for a video game character then it's a better idea to manually place the polygons where you need to have to hair and rotate and intersect them so they give the illusion of a full set of hair.
nice job waiting for new tutorials
man he is goooooooood
Thank you for sharing this!
Hi Denis, great video! what are your computer specs? You click render and it renders immediately.
I have to admit your comment made me giggle a bit when i first read it :) It's not my computer specs that are making the renders appear immediately but rather some video editing i do after the video is recorded (no point you guys watching it render)
haha! I think that every time I watch your tutorials too!
haha i was curious tOo :-D
awesome tutorial
How much is it intensive on ram, during rendering? I gues less than displacement but still quite a lot?
Also is there big difference on ram usuage durign renderign between the mia (or what :-) ) and geometry type?
thanks a lot :-)!
haven't really checked the RAM usage but with a mere 16GB of ram i've never had any issues. Take into account the size of the scene though as bigger scenes might be heavier on the ram usage
Ok, ill have to probably check my self :-), but it probably does grab some, i cant imagine having this in a really heavy scene (lets say some game scene, like cluttered wizard interior tower with many things, and lets say 5 of carpets, that would probably take it "share" of resources. I never really used this because i was afraid of the system resources needed for this :-).
Can you tell me how do you enable the background in the buffer, the gray background that gives the shade from your object.
Thank you
That is because i used a VRay Plane off to the side. It is that plane that is catching all the details from the rug
Thank you for the quick response. Maybe you could give me a step by step guidance of how to enable the option?
GO in the create tab, choose VRay and from there you will have an option to add a Vray Plane. Create the Vray plane anywhere in the scene and that will create a endless plane on which you can use as a base
Thank you so much for the information I will do that once I get back to my project!
Cheers man
Can you make tutorial about cloth modifier full details.. I'm waiting for
Really thank you !!!! It's really helpful...!!!
thx for the tutorial it helped me alot
can you make a tutorial for thatch roof texture?
thanks Denis Keman
Very good tutorial , but i have a problem , when i applied hair and fur , it appeared upside down the rug ,
thanks
how can u avoid the hair going through an object? like a table or something on top of the rug?
Use the Comb option to comb the hairs away
Wow ur amazing
Does this tutorial count for other Renderers too? Or is this Vray specific? [Using Corona]
This one is actually a native Max feature and not a V-Ray feature. So if you want to use Corona feel free and use it. The other video for VRay Fur is VRay exclusive
Understood! Great tutorial as well!
Thanks man !
tqsm
good job
Gostei.... parabéns !!!
nice tutorial
thk u mr . denis keman
very useful!!! thank you :)
Pourquoi c'est un médiator ton logo ? Super tuto :)
Thanks a lot man!
How do you even render so fast, when I have it to the lowest setting it takes 5 minutes
With the power of post production and cutting the portion where my PC renders :)
Grate job
big big thank you!
what confuguaration system do you use
Nothing too fancy, actually it's getting to be a bit outdated now. i7 2600K CPU, GTX970 GPU, 500GB SSD, 16GB Ram
Good Specs...
hello, how do I avoid having this effect on the backface?
Just delete the back face polygons....
Rajesh s Thank you, i figured it out for my self eventually :D
thank you
+3DvisualDesign Cheers
very thanks full to you...
max2010 doesnt have clump parameter?
well honestly you might want to consider upgrading your Max version. Don't get me wrong i'm not trying to be a dick here, it's just that with a newer version you will get more options as well as a much more responsive UI as well as a number of major bug fixes.
Only geometry works with me, when I make it mr prim it just disappears as normal.
Top Notch
Thanks a lot!
Thank You!!
