As soon as Danny sees Terry again after all these years, all the flashbacks will come back to haunt him, including the time he turned Daniel to the dark side, causing him to lie, then steal from, then eventually yell at Miyagi. The resulting PTSD or mental breakdown from Daniel could possibly put friction between his friends & family until, hopefully Johnny Lawrence snaps him out of it and tries to convince Daniel that Terry is “nothing” or what Johnny likes to call “a P***Y”.
Yeah it will shock him but I dont think it go that far 😂

Yes I think Terry should beat Daniel's ass and Johnny comes and saves him.
I just hope they don't make it too dramatic. Because we've already seen Daniel matured so much especially in Season 3. So maybe, have him a bit shocked that Silver's, but maybe when Silver mocks him of his recent "failures", Daniel hims him that "Be careful with what you say.", reminding him of how his Sensai Miyagi was able took take him down (and kncked paint on him), and that his threats don't scare him no more.

Probably because Daniel was barely an adult then now since both are older it’ll be a showdown for the ages and I’m excited to see the reactions of the other characters to him.

Honestly, Cobra Kai can be cool and badass if they treated each other and everyone fair. IT'S KREESE. He's making his students into a pyramid, and he's trying to put himself on top. And for what?
Daniel is already Silver's enemy right off the bat, so he'll experience some pain first. No one else in Cobra Kai who would be against Silver knows who he is yet.

Terry Silver was definitely the most skilled karate actors that ever appeared on the Karate Kid.
Definitely a man of many skills.
Hard to tell if Terry was because Referee Pat Johnson was also a legit black belt.
Terry Silver is my favourite character in the Miyagi-Do-verse & he’s the most interesting to analyse too, such a deviant diabolical character which is badass at the same time 😈

I think the "If a man can't stand he can't fight." part of the Quick Silver method will play a pivotal role at the tournament when Silver directs the Cobra Kai students to focus their attacks on Miguel's fragile back.
Miguel is definitely vulnerable to Terry's potential cheating and brutality.

I was really excited waiting for your video Ken, I really like your analyzes and videos, I feel very identified by all the contributions and theories that you make in each one, it will be because we are perhaps almost of the same generation and there is a different look perhaps to the of the youngest :)
This epic appearance of Terry left us totally shocked and surprised to be revealed in this way.
This season in my opinion will be the biggest dark and epic of all, my presumption besides that Cobra Kai will win the All valley, Daniel will lose his house, since publications that were for sale in reality were seen and surely this is due to Terry left him bankrupt and I think The producers hide something else even .. maybe the appearance of Mike or Julie in the last episodes ... hopefully ... !! greetings from Argentina.

Thanks, Ken! The excitement about season 4 is growing every day and I really hope they can meet our high expectations. At first, I thought Terry would only have a small role, maybe just appear in the last episode, but the teaser probably indicates that he will be the main antagonist. What do you think how big his role will be? Do we know anything about his family? If I'm correct there were no wife and kids mentioned in Karate Kid 3. Should be great to watch him interact with and manipulate Daniels wife and kids. The possibilities are nearly endless with such a powerful character!
I know, the wait is getting longer every day. I think Terry will be a significant character in the season, probably appearing in 8-10 episodes. He's probably going to be a big force in preparing Cobra Kai for the tournament, and of course he has old business to square with Daniel. Can't wait!

@@hennessyapplejuice8331 I don't know, the fight in the arcade was pretty chilling, then the attack at the Larussos' house was another dark turn. The snake pit was as well, but think because we knew Kreese wasn't going to die and we had no affinity to the captain, that was easier for me personally than Demetri getting his arm broken.

I am very impressed Ken, of how much you can analyze from just few seconds. I know for sure, Terry will cause trouble. Even if Daniel & Johnny win against Kreese, Terry might take control. I am super excited about this guy, Terry is the perfect Slither-In. He even moves like a snake. 2 thoughts- 1. If Terry, has no problem with breaking & entering, he might be the one to snake in a cobra into Daniel's dealership. 2. The name "Cobra Kai". Cobra, might be a reference to the snake pit in Vietnam. Just been thinking, anything else I am eager to see on the show.

Thing is, Obi-Wan already used the Quick-Silver Method on Vader to a tee at Mustafar. At the end of their fight, Vader could neither stand, breathe, nor see (at least not that well). Vader required a mechano-suit from Palpatine just to carry out these basic human functions afterward.

Also, Terry's new voice lines kind of blended into his old ones. His third rule of the quick silver method was a mixture of his old voice line with a new one overlayed on it. The new one was crisper and deeper, but it didn't totally overtake the old one. I thought that it was an interesting choice because its showing that he still adheres to (and might use) this philosophy in s4

One thing not discussed is the ground Terry is standing on.
I cant be bothered to save a frame and brighten it, but it looks like there might be worth discussing.
It looks like he's outside on a road? Pavement? Court? It doesn't look like a gym floor or dojo floor.
This is a good catch! To me it looks like a soundstage floor, or could it be a location in S4? What do you guys think?
If you analyse his head movement it’s very similar to a cobra snake. Tilts side to side just like a snake. Quality analysis by the way mate. 👍🏼

The 'quick silver method' seems to paralell the method that Chozen taught Daniel in season 3, taking away your opponents ability to fight. Two different interpretations of the same method? perhaps scribed down on the scroll given to Daniel by Chozen? A historic seperation of cobra kai and miyagi do?

Karate Kid 3 was SAVED by Terry Silver/Thomas Ian Griffith. I LOVED the scene where Terry, John and Mike are up against Miyagi and Daniel. That one scene, WOW, SERIOUSLY... 👍👍👍👍

In all fairness, Terry silver brings the icing on the cake not only because people can't figure the guy out whether he's good or bad, but also because he is extremely mischievous..but also charismatic at the same point. boy do I hope Terry is Miguel's dad. this way there might be some vulnerability for his previously maniacal character with him wanting his son to fight alongside him. Carmen mentioned that they had to move a lot, probably because Terry wanting to raise his son himself. Maybe in season 4, Terry returns to the Valley not only to help Kreese, but also because he's finally tracked down his son
That would definitely introduce a new, sympathetic component for Terry's character, and they've set it up if they want to go that way.

4:51 well it helps that Thomas Ian Griffith is actually younger than Ralph Macchio and actually was a martial arts practitioner in real life. Meaning unlike Kreese, who is played by someone in his 70s, Terry can still fight and fight pretty hard.

The ponytail character in season 3 was only a red herring. The only relation betwen that character and Terry Silver (Twig) is that both fought together in Vietnam.

I saw that (awesome!) though It looks like they changed costumes between the video and photo shoot. In the video promo you can see the shirt and jacket collar and no belt around the waist. Notice the different gi collar in the photo shoot.

That's a good question - to me it looks like a jacket collar and shirt collar when he turns head, and I think if it were a gi we'd see a belt tighten the clothes around his waist.

I have a question and theory that could be explored more:
My question: I know Cobra Kai was reinstated for the All-Valley in season one after Johnny’s appeal. His reasoning of his Cobra Kai being different than in the 80s sounds like the reason for the ban being overturned. The committee originally banned the dojo along with Mike Barnes ... and John Kreese and Terry Silver. The dojo was reinstated in that meeting, but were Kreese and Silver? My question is will Kreese and Silver have to directly answer to their past, menacing actions in front of the All-Valley before the tournament starts? My theory, might be a little out there, but I've heard other theories the Cobra Kai dojo could essentially be an army given the endless resources of Terry Silver. If that’s the case, how are Johnny and Daniel going to keep up? Whether that gets resolved in this season or later ones, my theory is that Sid dies and, as an “I’m sorry” from beyond the grave, leaves Johnny all of his money. This would allow for Johnny and Daniel and Eagle-Do or Miyagi Fang to compete in this arms race for karate in the valley. Plausible?
Wow, incredible questions. I like your scenario with Sid. It's an interesting pickle for Kreese/Silver being involved since Cobra Kai was banned for their behavior. Of course, there might be ways around that, especially if money is involved 😉 Terry is so eloquent, he even might be able to charm the current board as well. There are so many great possibilities and we may have unseen characters that factor into the equation. I've tried to avoid being too specific with future plot possibilities because there are so many ways it could be written, but it sure is tempting to come up with theories...

I really appreciate your deep cut analysis with Terry Silver and Mike Barnes. I have a new perspective on them now if and when they return in the show.

@@KenCole I’ll give you one from the movies and the show, both of whom have zero redemptive qualities on the surface (unless your research proves otherwise, which is possible): Dutch and Kyler. Dutch was the dude I’d be most afraid of to fight. He’s got aggression and skill, much like Kyler. We know just a little more about Kyler, but I’m curious if he’s going to embrace being “the ultimate weapon” for Kreese and now Silver. People have said Kyler is the chance for Demetri to prove himself. I think that’s underselling Kyler’s potential in Cobra Kai. Plot armor will make him third banana at best in the dojo behind Tory and Robby, but he has the potential to be an absolute menace with the QuickSilver technique and likely not a conscious. I’m hoping for more of Kyler next season and maybe down the road, Dutch, but that sounds pretty unlikely.
Johnny never met Mike or terry right ? I’d love to see a Mike vs Daniel but also a Mike vs Johnny. ! Wish he came back :)

I think Silver will take a special interest in Robbie, both he & Kreese will work on him, turning him into a brutal fighter, bending them to their image, I think what will end up happening, is Daniel will seek out Mike Barnes, & he will join their team, because I have a feeling that Barnes wants his personal revenge against Silver & Kreese.
I think that's a fascinating scenario.
@@KenCole everyone thinks that Barnes will be bad, I think he will be an anti-hero (sort of) and most likely Daniel will still be terrified of him as well, honestly out of all the bullies, Barnes terrified Daniel the most, at least Johnny sort of redeemed himself at the end of the first movie “you’re all right LaRusso” and Chozen actually developed a softer side in season 3 of CK, but in KK2 Daniel was scared of him, but he still chose to fight, in KK3, he was so scared of Barnes that he was ready to just give up, in fact if you think about it, he went into training from Cobra Kai, where his former bully was trained, & where Kreese (the man that insulted him & his sensei racially) was, yes he thought Kreese was dead, but still.... Barnes scared him to that point.
