Watch The Karate Kid: Part II Now:
Karate Kid, Daniel Larusso, risks losing it all when he places pride before principle in this dramatic film that reunites stars Ralph Macchio and Noriyuki "Pat" Morita. When Daniel (Macchio) decides not to compete in the upcoming karate championship, he becomes the target of vicious Cobra Kai student, Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), who's determined to win the title back. Standing firm, Daniel's mentor and trainer, Mr. Miyagi (Morita), instructs him to ignore Mike's threats - and stay away from the tournament. But when Mike's relentless abuse escalates into blackmail, Daniel finds himself forced into competition - and at serious odds with Miyagi, the one person he cherishes most. Desperate, Daniel turns to another karate instructor, Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), whose violent combat techniques are directly opposed to Miyagi's wise instruction. But when Daniel realizes that Terry and Mike are allied with Mr Miyagi's old nemesis, Kreese (Martin Kove), in an elaborate set-up for revenge,he also knows he has alienated the only person who can help him. A riveting story of independence, inner strength and self enlightenment, THE KARATE KID, Part III is a powerful new chapter in this popular series of films.

A lot of big shot white collar business men like silver are good at “appearing” to be driven by morals and integrity to the public but secretly are unethical in reality. That little smirk as Terry is trying to keep his face straight as Daniel thanked him as he looked back was such a great top off. Thomas has been in interviews and has said himself that Terry was a little over the top and cartoonish but the director wanted him to play the character that way. Be interesting to see what the Cobra Kai creators do with an older Terry Silver in the upcoming season.
I was just thinking how over the top he is. He's not a real human being or else Daniel would grow on him at least a little. He's a cartoon villain for sure.

The manipulative traits of Terry Silver here, and how it was portrayed was really well written. Just the way it shows how naive Daniel was, and how much of a sociopath Terry was here is why I like his character so much. He uses any means necessary to achieve his goals.
It's the Quick Silver method at play.
"A man can't see, he can't fight.".

Thats the Cobra Kai way. No honor, no defense, no right and wrong, just winners and losers.
And only sociopaths do that, huh? None of you ever fuck anyone over? Did sociopaths kill Mary Dyer or start slavery? No they didn't. “Who are you, his mother?” “Maybe.” That had to be ad libbed, no way something that bad was in a script.
haha that idea makes it so much funnier
@@sensam6155 Maybe he is LaRusso’s Mother,CK is full of secrets.
Admit it... You are all secretly rooting for Terry Silver, even when you say you are not rooting for Terry Silver.
Man, I am always routing for the wrong one on karate kid and cobra kai.
On season 4, I wished Kreese kicked Daniel ass. All that stupid morality that Daniel speaks is annoying.
At the end Daniel loses, yet: I think is wrong to keep my word and stop teaching karate. WTF.
I wish the cobra kai were more about giving cobra kai a different view, but it is again Daniel Bullshit.
Lawrence became a mere assistent in the show.
@@TiagoSilva-ib7vq damn bro “grease” should have totally kicked Daniels ass
Yep because to be honest he is the one who made the third movie worth watching.
@@bootybandit9245 yeah, Kreese haha
Actually this series has done a great job of showing a more in-depth look at each character so much so that I really think that Johnny is truly the good guy while Daniel is more of an antagonistic bully. Even Kreese, once so hateable, has garnered much sympathy after seeing the hell he endured his whole life.
"What are you his mother?"
"Maybe."
LMAOOOO 😂😂😂
Never bothered to watch these movies but WOW. That Terry is a stand up dude, everyone needs a good guy like that in their life...
Yeah... you not having seen the movies explains why you think that Terry Silver is a good guy
@@MorganKing95 What are you talking about??? He just saved that kid and taught him a new move to sweep the leg... he's a GREAT GUY!
@@davejay6855
It was staged! Terry's plan was always to cause Daniel (the kid) pain and suffering, so he hired Mike (the guy in red) to harass him, and also staged this entire fight to gain Daniel's trust and manipulate him
@@MorganKing95 Why would the writers make such a standup guy go bad? Well, at least this movie was made such a long time ago that they're done with the character forever and he won't be able to hurt anyone ever again.
@@davejay6855 Not everybody gets the sarcasm.
I like how the cover of the book is all concaved from Mike's face.
0:16 good take down Daniel he must’ve learned that chozen when he used that on him🤣🤣
Spoilers. Plot twist for cobra Kai. It turns out that silver is indeed in fact Daniel’s mother.
Lol 😂
I loved that line and how it was delivered. “What are you his mother” “maybe”😂😂
Let him off, punk!
Who are you, his mother?
Maybe!!!
Best dialogue of the trilogy
0:27 Terry Silver is Danny Larusso’s mother confirmed.
His mother name is Lucile

What a wholesome scene! That man in the ponytail sure is a generous sensei and an exemplary martial artist. Who wouldn’t love to have him as a teacher? ☺️
“There’s nothing you’ve got that I can’t counter! Your karate’s a joke!”
He wasn’t lying
Karate Kid 3 is criminally underrated.
Plot twist:
Silver is actually Daniel's mother
Maybe
Mannn if only I had a guy like Terry looking out for me when I was growing up…such a role model!
2:04 He's about to crack up 2:06 He's laughing his ass off ;)
I love that everytime that Terry gets into a fight he smiles
Silver has that slightly laughing smile all the time
