You are absolutely right dear friend. An almost 60-year-old project that is still current and successful. With all the updates and modifications it has achieved victories from endurance races such as Le Mans to the snow of Monte Carlo, all the way to the deserts of the Dakar. As an Italian citizen, I must admit that despite all our automotive excellence, we have never had a car like this. Ciao, 👍

it still remains a flawed design from an engineering PoV. Locating the engine aft of the rear axle line made total sense for the Folks Wagen - bc it maximised space for 4 ppl. When you're designing a performance car it's like shooting yourself in the foot. Precisely why both the Boxer and the Cayman are fundamentally better performance cars
