When I heard the question I was instantly like "okay which dragon ball series counts? I need precision."
Right he didn't specify. So if the question is how many times did he die. Not separating continuities then the correct answer is 7

@@troykv96 I counted just the ssj forms Goku had so I didn't include rage or any of the Broly/Kale forms.
With that said, there is false SSJ from the movie, SSJ power which is just false SSJ but not really, is the one that Goku uses during the Pikkon filler where his hair is black but is spiky, SSJ4 because I am counting non canon ones, SSJ4 limit break from heroes, Universal Tree Power from Heroes, the evil saiyan that Cumber turns Goku into again in Heroes and Perfect Blue from the manga if that counts.

The games take place in the future where Goku and Vegeta left to duke it out in space, and Krillin and the others passed away from old age.
He was also dead during the GT movie when Pan was at the age of a grandma.
@@KevinVideo Pan was 112 in the GT Epilogue iirc, so age 889, Krillin was born in Age 736, placing him at 85 in Age 821 when he dies in Dragon Ball Online's timeline that Toriyama mapped out, tho the canonicity of this post Super/Xeno is up for debate.
But if he was to survive to Age 889, he's be 153 years old, and would definitely have needed some help from Roshi for that.
However, I still won't count this as a death, because then we need to count that in Age 801, Goku, sensing his death is nearing, leaves Earth with Vegeta, and they have one last battle, which is so vast, the light from their battle reaches Earth years later...and this can't even take place in the GT Timeline anyway
The only media after episode 64 of GT is A Hero's Legacy when we see Old Pan sick and Goku Jr. goes on a quest for the Dragon Balls to wish for her to get healthy again. Given that Krillin isn't seen at that point (he would be about 140 years old), it's assumed he died of old age off-screen, along with most of the other Z fighters. That said, 17, 18, Uub, Master Roshi, Turtle, Dende, Mr. Popo, and possibly Bra and Marron might be alive (Marron is a few years older than Pan, and Bra is a year or so younger).

@@lorossilvers3490Master Roshi is probably alive, some humans can just live really long for no explained reason (Roshi's parents were older than 500 years when he was born, if i remember correctly and Roshi's reasons seem to be all made up), so maybe even Tien is still alive (his master's family also has longevity, like Master Roshi's).

Actually, it could be that the tictok counted the alternative timelines but not the times in GT, in which case he would have died 5 times.

Wouldn’t it be at least 11 times then because if we are counting future timelines then Krillin would die from Tambourine and Freiza in both of those timelines as well.
I guess you could say we are not counting the same death even in different timelines but the unseen timeline that Cell comes from could have Krillin die the same way he dies in Trunks’s timeline

I appreciate the lengths some people go to avoid putting any identifiable information out there, using text to speech rather their own voice.
Cross compare to some one mugging the camera constantly. When I started writing this I meant it as a troll post and was going to use it to dunk on Mark but the more I thought about it the more I actually think that. There are people that have their face constantly on screen for their video, taking up like 2/3rds of the angle even when they have other information elsewhere that's all crammed into the corner.

I can't remember if he was part of the group that was protected by Whis when Frieza Chaozu'd himself and destroyed Earth in Res F, but if he wasn't, that would make an additional death in Super

I am pretty sure that the previous guardian of Earth was a 3 eye tribe member, and Multaito met him in his early years just before Kami split.
If you think about it, krillin has died canonically 5 times, getting killed in db, exploding in frieza saga, getting killed in the future timeline, Buu eating him at Kami’s lookout, and when frieza exploded the planet in resurrection f (while yes they reversed time, krillin still died.)
I'd say four. I don't count the alternate timeliness and his death via old age in GT isn't shown so it doesn't count either.
The old age is heavily implied as pan is old and krillin already had grays in gt when pan was younger and krillin was never mentioned to have been made immortal like roshi

If you want to consider adding ANOTHER death to the Krillin count, he’s died once in Super.
Not in the main timeline but in the future Trunks timeline. Since Goku Black wiped out most to all life on Earth except for a few. And plus he became Planet Zamasu.

Hey I have a similar question to the one in the video:
One of the mini games in Jackbox 10 (Time Jinx) has a quiz question saying "How many times has Goku died in the Dragonball franchise?"
Choices are 1, 5, 11, and an even higher number.
The "correct" answer is 5 which I got from process of elimination (I thought of the 2 in Z, and Goku's brief death in the Super episode where he hires Hit)
Now because most of my knowledge comes from the anime, I figured I missed some from the manga so I tried googling it but I kept finding articles saying Goku died even more times because they included contradictory stuff with Alternate Timelines and counted both GT & Super. Ignoring those answers though resulted in less than 5, so do you have any idea how the Jackbox devs ended up with 5?
I haven't read the new arcs in the Super Manga but I didn't see anything about Goku dying again, and the game is pretty new so it should have up to date info.
